Would have been nice toasted. Dog was properly dressed with yellow mustard, slaw, onions, and chili. The slaw was good with a touch of sweetness. Onions were fresh and crispy. The chili was flavorful, with a touch of heat. The heat was a bit off putting for some of our group. All in all, a good version of the Carolina Dog. Fries and onion rings were crispy and hot, as they should be. Tiny place with a few outside stables. Pretty close to busy A1A. We took out bag-o-dogs to beach park a short distance away. They run daily specials and we were in the mood for their Fish Fry Friday their clam chowder and we absolutely had to try one of their burgers based on the photos they post (also, Mondays special is BOGO 1/2 price on the behemoth burgers!). So we asked our server if it would be possible to get the fish lightly battered and she went back to ask the owner/chef. We were sitting close to the kitchen, heard her ask and heard him bark back a loud "no" but then just as quickly changed that "no" to a "yes"! Customers were coming in at a relatively, in our opinion, good stream. We started with the clam chowder which could use more clams IMHO. The fish was good too but the star of the show on this visit was the burger. We'll return to try the hot dogs and another burger. Best burger in Daytona Beach? Could be but we'll be back to confirm. During our second visit, we tried the deep fried breaded Brussels sprouts, way better than what we expected. The waitress is part of the family is personable and professional. Since then, this has become a regular outing for us...best burgers, particularly for the price. The only other burger I could compare them to is another restaurant where the burgers are maybe slightly better, but at almost 3 times the cost!
