I've come here multiple times since I live in the Atlas. They offer a 10% discount if you live there. I've called for takeout and have dined in. The burgers and fries and delicious. The portion of the side of fries could be better though. The nachos are great for sharing. Sunday is all day happy hour with most appetizers being half off. I've had almost all of their appetizers and feel like you can't go wrong with any of them. Nachos and the sampler with mac and cheese bites, pickle chips, and cheese curds are really good. Drinks are good too and not too expensive. If it's busy and they don't have a lot of workers, be prepared to wait but it's worth it!

April 17 2024. Walked in and sat ourselves, the guy behind the bar was also the server for all the tables. There wasn't too many tables and he kept up with everyone's needs and stayed on the ball and was very nice & friendly. We ordered the Trio App, totally worth the money to get and try 3 different apps of your own choice. The Mac n cheese bites stole the show, wow, those were fabulous. All the food came out PIPPING hot and super quick. The place was very clean, welcoming, and love all the plane decor! Easy to find the restaurant and find parking right out front! They have great specials everyday and all day happy hour on Sundays! Dessert was a nice sweet thing to top off the night, it was good, but nothing crazy good, probably wouldn't order it again though! Prices are good for the amount of food and quality!

Dirty gin martini and drink menu

The food and drinks here are pretty decent! I went with coworkers after work one day for happy hour. Highlights: big restaurant with lots of seating, the nachos were tasty and fresh and huge enough for 5 of us to share, the drinks were made well and tasted great. Friendly servers and staff. Big menu! Lowlights: it's really geared toward college students living at the Atlas. If you're nearby looking for a fun place for happy hour, go for it, but don't go out of your way to come here. One of the servers told us the chicken was house made (I imagine he meant house cooked), which made me think the other meats are probably frozen and recooked, the service was slow when more people arrived, like slow enough we had to wait in line at the register to pay our tabs. I ordered two dirty gin martinis, the first was rung up as a lemon drop martini, which they promptly fixed, but the price was $1 more than the other I ordered. Could have been a happy hour/non happy hour price difference, so I don't count that as a negative on their part. Just a hassle to correct with the wrong martini listed.

    Raptor Burger & fries

Pretty good! Full transparency, I know one of the cooks here and came in with him on his day off. I ordered the Raptor burger with bacon, egg, gouda, and adobo aioli. Felt kind of weird to order since I was there for dinner, but my friend recommended it. To my surprise, it didn't actually taste overly "breakfast-y." It was a pretty decent burger, nice and juicy, flavorful, and I loved the sauce. The bun was toasted golden brown and didn't fall apart or get soggy. It wasn't the most impressive burger I've ever had, but it did the trick. It came with fries which were also just pretty decent. Crispy. Nothing special. Can't really speak to service since I was there with an employee so everyone knew us. We ate at the bar and the bartender made me a drink that tasted like apple cider, you could barely taste the alcohol! Vibe-wise, it's definitely a sports bar and definitely geared towards all the Creighton students who live in the Atlas above, which is... not my personal vibe. But it's very clean, spacious, and well-lit, which improved the experience a lot.

    Burger, SO DRY

Was excited to try it out since it smells so good every time I walk past it but the burger AND fries were dry. Their Asian bowl is ok but not something I would go back for. Their pizza is not bad, but I would only get it for convenience since I lived in the building. They do get busy sometimes, I happened to place an order when it was busy and waited for like an hour to get my burger and fries. I lived in the building at the time and kept coming back to see if my food was ready then the guy told me to write down my number so he can let me know when my food was ready, the dude texted the wrong number. I ended up coming to check again since it was taking so long and he was like "I texted you", it was a nice gesture but he didn't even feel bad for texting the wrong number, just shrugged. One time we called ahead to place our order and the person misplaced our order. What? Whatever, gave this place 3 tries, did not like it at all. Would not recommend.

    Fried Pickle Chips

I'm sorry what. This was $9. This was before we ate any. If anybody has gotten the fried pickles before lmk if this is normal or if they were out to get us. Other food was great but cmon.

*this review reflects 3-4 visits, all of which were takeout experiences* Main pros: Pretty quick service - I believe it was 30 mins or less from submitting the order to completion each time Wide variety of menu items Main con: The various meals we've tried have yet to impress: good concepts... But they miss the mark The flavors boasted in the menu descriptions sound amazing, but I think they struggle to deliver. On our most recent visit, for example, I ordered the Atlantic salad (salmon, greens, radish, avocado, blue cheese, etc) and even though I'd been craving salmon specifically, I couldn't finish it. The seasoning used was very salty and it was coating the salmon very heavily. My husband got a burger with ham and pineapple and onion rings and the balance of salty and sweet was also askew here. The onion rings were a different 'batter' than most, and neither of us particularly enjoyed it. I can't remember for sure the other meals we've tried except that there were a couple more burgers, sandwiches and salads, and none of them were great. I think I'd still like to try once more as a dine in option and see if anything changes the experience, but so far, we've been less than thrilled with our trips to Flight Deck.

I want to like this place more being located where it is, but each time I order from here I'm disappointed. The first time I tried the black bean burger, and it was a ball of mush without flavor. The next time I tried the Caesar salad with salmon, and the salad was 20 old mixed lettuce leaves drowned in dressing with a fishy tasting overcooked salmon strip. Today, I tried to order a crush raspberry sour beer, and got served a mixed drink with mint and who knows what else. I couldn't ask our server since he was so busy we could barely flag him down to order. The pickle chips were more like pickle skin fries. Ugh, just bad. The interior is clean and a great spot for watching games (big, open, lots of TVs, lots of seating for bigger parties), so if you want a place to hang out with low expectations on food and service... this is the place.

    BBQ Chicken Tenders
    Nathan D.

Standard | TVs | service Standard - Flight Deck, is the standard sports bar but has a large variety in its menu. They have a variety of specials depending on the day of the week to encourage people to come there to watch games. I have had their chicken sandwich, chicken tenders, and chicken wings the three times I've come. The Chicken sandwich is the most delicious, and the chicken wings are the most filling. The wings are the whole wing with two pieces drum and whing. Therefore, when you get "five" wings, you are getting ten wings in terms of serving size. T TVs - They have a lot of TVs (5-6) above the bar that are easy to see throughout the restaurant. However, if you are going to watch the game, you need to be at the bar to get the full experience. Service - the service is relatively inconsistent. I have had a fantastic experience with one of their managers, Alex. On the other hand, I have had sub-par service where I had to send my sandwich back two times because of simple mistakes like placing a sauce on that I am allergic to (that I said to leave off) the first time and forgetting to put on lettuce the second time. Pro Tip: If you are military, they give a 10% military discount Pro Tip: If you live in the Atlas Apartment complex, they give a 10% discount

Fun place to go during a game, but very limited menu. The drinks are fun - Creighton or Nebraska themed and the atmosphere is great when the Jays are doing well! Free Jell-O shots, so no complaints here

    Bbq Mac and cheese
    James K.

Stopped in here twice now , both times have been very enjoyable. First time I had a salmon salad. The salmon was cook very well, and the dressing went very well. Second time I stopped for a quick lunch and got the "Cuban". Personally I like a lot of mustard and this one a little lite . But other than that it was very good.

    $6 cheeseburger on game days
    Lana B.

Flight deck does not deliver when it comes to the best food for a sports bar. They have cheap prices but everything is over loaded on grease and salt. If you are lucky you might be able to get a seat in game days. They do hand out free Jell-O shots occasionally which is nice.

Unfortunately after driving to the Ooh De Lally we were immediately turned away citing the no pet policy. I politely showed the hostess their listing and was directed to speak with a manager and I politely declined stating it was not needed. It's unfortunate that a business has full control over the information contained there and would be appropriate to update the information to prevent future patrons from being misled. After the rejection, there isn't a need for a future return. It would have only been decent customer service since the information was misleading to accommodate us, keeping in mind the pet was a 5.2lb 16 year old chihuahua that has cataracts, calm and making a stir while checking in and the patio only had one other table. The hostess felt the only recourse was to point me to a sign which I wasn't sure where it was because it didn't matter at this point, she stated her policy. I kindly referred her to the online info, and pulled the info up for her. We drove to dine and again, to create a future customer the choice was to instead decline and send us away. She did ask if he was a service animal but was not gonna take that away from a true service animal. Hopefully this place makes the needed corrections and unfortunately our experience will be how this was handled. Yes, I see the follow up from the restaurant and our decision to not return seems fit based on the "Owner" response. Good customer service would have been reflected in the response acknowledging more than just how "Frustrating" it was for us. No, being truly sincere would have been we appreciate your business and apologize for the inconvenience. Please here is 10% off your next meal or dessert is on us, please come back. We certainly don't care about the 10% but it's about the true understanding and apparently this is not the goal of the "owner". The effort as such would have prompted us to give another try. With the lack of effort to even bring a customer back speaks volumes. 2026 Omaha made changes for restaurants regarding pets and the disregard to an error and the drive we made apparently holds little to this establishment.

Most of the highlight was the various types of burgers and fries they had, so my partner and I got two kinds, and we both enjoyed our respective meals. I had the block burger, which was as good as I imagined it to be, with juicy patty cooked to medium and every ingredient needed to make a good burger. The poutine had a lot of beef gravy and cheese curds, which made the dish a comprehensive experience to consume, rather than just fries. The duck duck goose fries were amazing! The duck confit, cheese curds, mayo, gravy, and gooseberry gastrique combination worked super well on top of the fries, because they altogether basically made it a gourmet dish that I had to eat with a fork. Finally, the sloppy nick was seasoned very well, even if we got the vegan version, which used impossible meat instead of ground beef. It was still really great! Hope everyone who visits Omaha gets to try this spot! Their wall has quite a few articles that recognized them as a locally renowned burger joint, and I could see why. Since they can be busy, I would recommend people getting there earlier to secure a good table spot, if dining in.

I also checked out their menu and noticed it was definitely a unique, interesting menu. Upon walking in, there was a line backed up to the door and I waited in it about 15 mins and it didn't move one person, but I used this time to check out the menu and decide what I wanted. After noticing the line not moving and the cashier in heavy discussion with the family that was there placing their order, I felt it might be best to use their online ordering for carryout pickup instead. While doing this, the line moved up once and I suppose that next party had questions too and of course, plenty of time was spent answering those questions. This might seem like good service, but when the line is that long, either have more people there taking orders or use a kiosk for those of us who don't need to ask questions, or remind guests that there are many others in line (probably after the first 5 mins of discussing the menu) and the line needs to move up. After I placed my order, it told me it was accepted and gave me a time range of when to expect my order. I sat down and waited until the end of that range, which was only a few mins, and then went back up to the pick up area to ask about my order. The lady working was very friendly when I explained what I did. She gave me a number and told me she'd bring my order out, she also gave me the drink I pre-ordered. A few mins later, she brought my food out. I looked around to notice that people who were waiting for food prior to me still hadn't gotten their food. I'm not sure if it's always this slow in there or if it was busy because there's a conference in town. Opening the clamshell that my food was in - I noticed a beautiful sandwich and fries. The fries were piping hot and crispy and tasted great. The sandwich looked really nice, but when I went to pick it up, I noticed the entire bottom was soaked in grease and their hot sauce that was on the chicken. So, I fork & knifed this meal. The flavors of all the parts of the sandwich together were nice, just wish I could have picked it up without being a mess. If I ever returned, I'd get something different.

Ok the other hand, the service is rather iffy & unpredictable. The chicken & waffles is my go-to for each visit, and they have many types of delicious sides to choose from, with my favorites being the biscuits & berries, goat cheese grits, and also the fried green tomatoes. I have zero problems with the food that they serve here, they always do an excellent job at preparing whatever they need to prepare & the portions are always satisfactory. As for the service, there are days where you will receive perfect service while on others the service is not so great. Some days you will be attended to in a timely manner, while there is other days where there isn't anyone available or willing to seat you somewhere. I've also experienced instances where they didn't attend to our table to take orders until I made a complaint. Most of these instances were during days where the place was virtually empty so it's not because of the place being busy. I've also ordered take out from here before, again some instances are perfect and there's other instances where they don't tell you if a certain food is out of stock via text or call so if you ordered something that isn't in stock, you're forced to wait for them to prepare something else once you arrive to pick up your order. They also don't always include syrup or butter in the takeout bags for chicken & waffles. One minor thing I'm also disappointed about is how the portion of grits has lessened over time, going from being served in a bowl to instead being served in a small cup/mug. Overall, I certainly don't return for the service because you never really know if it's going to be a good day or a bad day for that. It's always the food that brings me back. I do want to like this place, and I do to an extent but again the service is always unpredictable. I'd still say the food is worth coming here to see how it goes.

My only complaint (and it's a small but sad one) is that they no longer serve entrées. I miss when Mercury had a full food menu -- their pasta and burger were truly underrated. These days, you'll only find light bar snacks, which pair well with the cocktails but don't quite replace a meal. Still, for creative cocktails, a stylish atmosphere, and great service, Mercury remains one of the best spots downtown.

Availability of service was inconsistent when I stayed there, mainly breakfast (a couple days there was just no chef during their open hours). The servers were very kind and helpful and the ambience is there too! Also great cocktails but the food can be somewhat lacking. The smash burger was very dry and the bun tasted old. Hopefully they make some improvements!

We grabbed dinner before going to The Orpheum on a Tuesday night. The restaurant is on the ground…read morefloor and has a seating area with various tables an a bar that seats about a dozen people. We wondered if we'd need a reservation, but it's much more casual than that, so none is necessary. The menu has a few entrees, handhelds, appetizers, and salads. The night we were there, one dessert was available as well. I should have taken a picture of the menu, but it is one page and a bit abbreviated from the one I saw at ZMenu and on Facebook. The bartender was the server for the bar and all the tables, but was able to keep up pretty well. We each ordered a glass of wine and they didn't have that one, so he upgraded us at no additional charge. For dinner, I got the Chicken BLT - it was very tasty, with fresh avocado, tasty bacon, fresh tomatoes (in March in Nebraska!), and tender grilled chicken. My wife got the Rice Bowl and added Salmon, Also, very fresh, tasty, and flavorful. Prices are on the high side, but not unexpected for a nice hotel. The rice bowl with salmon was $24 and my sandwich was $22. The wine selection was good, and they had a decent hard alcohol array as well. Wines were about the retail price of a bottle for each glass, and martinis and drinks were around $16. Service was good. Definitely worth a visit if you're staying here or to stop in for a casual bite to eat.
