Best THC drink options in Omaha, by FAR! They craft their own Honey which is absolutely tasty, perfectly salty and sweet, while having little to none after taste. They have beverages crafted with other local restaurant hits in the area like Coneflower Creamery, The Mill, and many more. The server was very well versed in the menu and happy to give us recommendations and explain some of the background on the collaboration and crafting of the drinks. I had the Baked to Perfection which was a creamy and sweet coffee drink with THC, we also got a side of the Honey and was feeling amazing before even leaving. I also tasted the after school special, which was an elevated cherry cola! Lots of flavor from the bitters and also uses the honey to give it a nice sweetness! Literally want to try everything on this menu now! They have fun dim and colorful decor, with a huge skeleton up in the front to confirm its casual and friendly environment. Mercury is always my go-to stop for a pre-show cocktail before heading to the Orpheum. The vibe is sleek yet cozy, and the bartenders always seem genuinely excited about what they're mixing up. Their rotating cocktail menus are one of my favorite things about this spot -- each one has its own creative theme, and the current Halloween menu is such a fun touch. On my most recent visit, I tried the Poltergeist and the Bahama Rita on the recommendation of the bartenders -- both were absolute hits. The drinks here are always beautifully crafted and well-balanced, with a lot of thought behind the presentation and flavor combinations. My only complaint (and it's a small but sad one) is that they no longer serve entrées. I miss when Mercury had a full food menu -- their pasta and burger were truly underrated. These days, you'll only find light bar snacks, which pair well with the cocktails but don't quite replace a meal. Still, for creative cocktails, a stylish atmosphere, and great service, Mercury remains one of the best spots downtown. read more

Everything was fine! Street metered parking is around. Easy to find restaurant. Service was good, there was only us (table of 3) and 2 people at the bar for a couple hours after 5pm on a Monday. They were out of a couple food items, and having a limited menu does take a large hit on the experience, but not their servers fault. We went for their Halloween theme and it was so cool. I love that they decorate so much for each theme and really go all out. I love going to Mercury before a show at the Orpheum or just on a fun night out - always best to go at least once every few months as they switch up their menus frequently! This time we went specifically for their Pokémon menu - they even made the drink menu on Pokémon cards personalized for them. They really leaned into the theme being able to "evolve" the drinks into new flavors. Their themes are always super fun!! The drinks are very creative and taste great. I've had to look up the ingredients quite a few times, but it's clear they take the time to experiment with their menus to keep things exciting. My only issue is that some nights I'll wait for 30 minutes and leave because there's no tables and other nights I have no issues getting in. read more

Rich, heavy draperies of crimson velvet adorned the tall windows, successfully shutting out the dreary chill of the exterior world and sealing within a sanctuary of warmth and exclusivity. The arrangement of the seating was a triumph of social engineering; plush leather hearth-chairs and intimate velvet settees were positioned at such agreeable distances as to afford the utmost privacy for confidential discourse, yet the room maintained a lively, convivial spirit. A gentle warmth emanated from a magnificent marble fireplace, where a crackling hearth threw a golden hue over the assembly. The gentle murmur of polite conversation, punctuated occasionally by the delicate clinking of crystal and the low, melodious strains of a pianoforte playing in a distant corner, coalesced into a symphony of pure tranquility. It was, in every conceivable sense, a haven of the highest order, where time itself seemed to slow to a more dignified and graceful pace. read more

Another great experience here! They have Pokemon menu currently, it's pretty fun. They have base drinks and you can "level up" like with actual Pokemon! As always, the bartenders are friendly and helpful to suggest what you may like. The menu's pretty extensive, so it was hard to choose but I really liked the drink I got. I love love love Mercury. I don't think i've ever had a drink I didn't love here. They have rotating menus with different themes, so you can always expect something fun and new. This time when I went they had their Christmas pop up. The whole bar was decked out in Christmas decor and i LOVE it. The service is also always great!! Another added perk is they have a vending machine in their women's bathroom that sells emergency contraceptives and pregnancy tests. However, I find myself coming back to Mercury time and time again not only for the fun rotating themed menus, but the service as well. I have had exceptional service every time I've been to Mercury, but our bartender tonight, Lindsay, went above and beyond to make sure we were having a good evening despite them being understaffed and super busy. After our show this evening we walked across the street for after dinner conversation, cocktails and a quick bite. Such a fun place to talk with your group about the show and end the night. We were seated right away- super comfy lounge area, and server came right over. She was so friendly and asked us how our evening was and we chatted about the show. Our drinks were amazing and quick to the table and the beer cheese fondue with focaccia was delicious. Whenever i am in the area and can find parking i love to stop in here! Mercury is such a chill spot to sip on some fancy whiskey / scotch / vodka / whatever. The staff is always inviting and explain items to you. One thing i love about this place is the playful drinks and menus they do. This particular evening it was an entire Pokemon book of drinks based on the different characters. Such a fun and cheeky thing! If you have not been here what are you waiting for? If you dont like the fancy or rare stuff the drinks they have craft typically are not uber expensive. So a couple drinks and fun ambiance shouldn't break the budget. read more

Super disappointed in this place. Maybe I came during an off night. But I didn't really feel that service was welcoming at all. Not once did she check in on how I was doing, or how the food or the drink was. I had to call her over for everything between ordering, getting the check, and her taking my card for the check... and I was sitting at the bar! We stopped in for drinks and dinner before seeing the musical "Tina" at the Orpheum. We did not have reservations and were seated no problem! It is a very cool setting and we had a group of 4 so sat at the couches. Staff were very nice and welcoming since it was our first time. The drinks were themed from the zoo. More like a 3.8. Interesting concept, basically each drink has a base, then you can add to the base to bring about new and unusual flavors. They do this through a Pokeman style power up menu, but it's just confusing and honestly childish. The drinks were good and a solid value. We were there around early dinner timeframe, and they only had an appetizer menu available. The appetizers were tasty, but I really would have liked to see a better food menu. So I would rate this a great place to stop and have drinks with friends at, but not really a place for a nice dinner meal. The atmosphere was friendly and casual, with seating options from seats at the bar, tables, some with booth seating on one side, and even a few couch seats with a low coffee table to relax in. The staff were friendly and attentive, and we did not have to wait long for food and drinks to be delivered. Phenomenal drinks and food! Their very clever drink menu is on a zoo map, and all of the cocktails have a zoo themed name. For an appetizer, we enjoyed the roasted brussels sprouts With hot honey, almonds, and sesame. They have the perfect amount of spice. I had the vegan Bahn Mi sandwich, and it was absolutely perfectly flavored. My husband had the Cubano sandwich and it was also excellent. My friend and I came here on a Saturday night out for the very first time together! We were so happy to see the options of couches to sit at in their lounge area. The atmosphere there is really cool. Super classy with unique lights and incredibly comfortable seating. We were greeted very quickly by our server who brought us waters and helped to explain the menu with the decoder. You can use the decoder to be able to read the menu they created with the Luminarium which was very cool concept! My friend and I each order a cocktail. I got the Stella and she ordered the Blowing Seeds. Originally, our server brought her the wrong drink but let us keep it for free. He apologized and before we knew it the cocktail she ordered was there. I liked my cocktail, but it wasn't my favorite. It was unlike anything I had had before which from the menu to me it seems like most of their drinks are out of the box and unlike your typical cocktails. My favorite part about Mercury was definitely the seating, decor, and the bathroom. Offering free pads and tampons is a big win in my book! :) And I had never seen a vending machine in a bar's women's restroom offering pregnancy testing and emergency contraception. The hubs and I came here for a date night and had a lovely time! It's quiet and chill, dim lightning, suave music. They have couches and spaces for larger groups to hangout. Love all of the windows. Felt very cozy. They had limited food options, but definitely enough. The service was wonderful and our server helped us pick out something delicious for dinner. I had their Cubano sandwich - homemade buns and tasty sauce! I was FULL afterwards. Their drink menu was Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo themed! Very cute and creative, and we love the Omaha zoo! So I think Mercury is such a cute bar to go to during the holidays, they decorate with lots of lights and it makes it feel so cozy. Their drinks are where they shine, they offer a rotating cocktail menu (our drinks were Christmas themed). They offer a great range of drinks and they don't skimp on the alcohol. I also order a burger which was ok, not bad, but also not amazing. I do recommend that if you think about ordering food, order the beer cheese fondue with baguette slices *chef's kiss*. We didn't have the best service from staff, the seating hostess and waitress were short with us and didn't communicate well with each other. Seriously... what an amazing little gem hiding in downtown Omaha. Far an away one of the more creative cocktail bars I have been to in a while, and not just because of a pandemic. Their selection is absolute amazing with prices that are very fair given the products available. Here you can find a full selection of Pappy as well as many of the BTAC bottles at very reasonable prices. The food is spot on in regards to quality, originality, and most importantly timelines of preparation. The staff here is really the true hidden gem. It's one thing to have great product, but the staff here is incredibly friendly and absolutely knowledgeable when it comes to their craft. I honestly can't wait for my next visit. Mercury is an outstanding bar with tasty food available. It's well worth the visit, especially before or after visiting the Orpheum. Located across the street from the theater, it's a great stop for us after a show. We've also hit it up on a whim while downtown, and haven't been disappointed. Parking downtown is a challenge, so plan for that. We've found parking a block away each time. They have seasonal cocktails, traditional ones, beer and wine. They have tables for groups of 2-4 throughout. Then they have a back couch area that can sit one group of 10. Chill - overall this place is a good time. Ideal for starting or ending your night with friends or for a date. It is great for catching up with friends/family because it isn't too loud and the focus is on the cocktails. Mezcal Sunset - I told the waiter and bartender that I wanted a mezcal based drink that was Smokey but fruity. The creation was a mezcal sunset. Not sure what all was it in ... but it was GRADE A! My husband and I were thrilled to bring our family here for the holidays. We come often and have always had stellar experiences. Tonight was incredibly disappointing. We made a reservation because we had a group of 11. I know it's the holiday season and large parties at a holiday pop up can be tough to accommodate, but we are a super easy going crew-- we were just happy to be together in such a festive environment. After the first round of drinks, it was challenging to catch any of the servers' attention to order another round. Once we caught their attention and ordered a second round, two of our drinks never came. We asked two separate servers about these drinks and finally received our drinks after waiting 43 minutes. Once we received our final bill, we noticed we were charged for an extra "... and an apple-y new year" which was the missing drink. When we inquired about removing the extra drink, the server said that the two servers got confused and had to enter it again which is why there were four instead of three. She proceeded to ask if we were certain that we only had three. I responded by saying "we are certain." I am so disappointed by the horrific service that we will no longer frequent Mercury or recommend it to friends or family. read more

Mercury is always a great spot while downtown! I have stopped in here a few times now, and recently went with a group of coworkers. The couch areas are the perfect spot to sit with a group so that everyone is able to chat, and the dividers between these areas make it feel a bit more private. The smaller tables and the bar also make this the perfect spot for date night or getting together with a friend. Starting in November, they go all out with the Christmas decor and have great Christmas-themed drinks. I ordered the Killer Fruitcake drink, which was delicious! My coworkers ordered other drinks and really enjoyed theirs as well! We ordered a few appetizers to share, and I really enjoyed the brussel sprouts and the chips and guacamole! They change the drink menu pretty often, which is nice to keep it fresh and try the new things they make up because the drinks are always great. I will definitely be back during the Christmas season to try some more of these drinks, and I can't wait to come back and try their new menu after! read more
