I have sat with writing this review for about three weeks now. It's not my intent to hurt the stylist reputation. But, after being completely heartbroken over the TERRIBLE hair cut I received I decided it was fair to post this very honest and disappointing experience. I spent a few months in search of my "new salon". I was not in a huge hurry for change and I was growing my hair out. With all the amazing reviews and tons of 5 stars honestly, I just zipped right over the bad reviews. NOW, I can only wish I would have spent more time reading (I'll never make that mistake again) If even just a few of the bad reviews. As there was another reviewer whom seemed to have a similar experience. After reading all the "good" reviews I booked with Devon. For three weeks every time I have looked or touched the length of my hair I get very upset. Okay, it's "just hair" yes it "grows back". But, she chopped into my hair giving me layers I stressed I didn't want - some of the things I told her; I am growing my hair out and I want it all one length NO LAYERS. I just couldn't believe the experience. I couldn't believe getting the exact opposite of what I asked and further more getting exactly what I didn't want! I would never go back and I hope your smarter then I was and read or at least skim the other poor experiences, and choose not just another stylist more wisely but, I would choose a whole other salon! Thank you Yelp for steering me to this salon. I enjoyed my appointment with Annie over the weekend for a balayage. She took her time to listen to what I was looking for and set me up with some pretty hair. The salon has parking out front (meters) and I would recommend walking or ubering to avoid the hassle of replenishing your meter and avoiding tickets. I liked the vibe of the salon; it was bright and cheerful with great music. The selection of Kerastase products is abundant along with the Wella line which is a more friendly price point. I'm happy to have found this place, I will definitely return for my hair needs. read more

I have to update my review because I have been getting my hair cut by Annie at Fleur Salon for the last 4 years and she is the best. Today I asked for my second celebrity-inspired haircut and once again, Annie nailed it. As always, she asked me a lot of questions up front to make sure she knew what I wanted and then after she cut it, she gave me a bunch of tips on how to style it. I also love that she knows how to give you a cut that works with your natural hair so that you can keep the styling to a minimum. I highly recommend that you make an appointment with her! read more

I chose this place solely on the fact that they do online reservations/appointment requests. This was because I was Yelping after business hours and I wanted to secure my schedule without waiting for the next day to make an appointment. They had plenty of online availability. The online function doesn't guarantee your appointment but rather is a request for that slot. I'm unsure if the salon has their own private lot but I parked on the street and paid the meter (2 hour max). The salon is open and bright with natural lighting. Their theme is the fleur de lys and everything inside is black or white. I had an appointment with Annie Thomas who has had 5 years of experience with cutting hair. I came 10 minutes late but hopefully made up for that inconvenience by leaving w larger tip. Annie was easy to talk to and was great about asking questions to find out exactly how I wanted my hair cut. I asked for a v-cut and got exactly what I envisioned. My hair feels much healthier now that all of the dead ends and dyed ombré parts are chopped off. Annie spent a good amount of time blow drying my hair so that it had volume and sleekness. My cut was around $42. I also bought a hair masque product by the brand Wella for $15. They carry a higher end brand called Kerastase that costs a little more but that Annie strongly recommended. read more

I went here today for my first ever ombré try. I know I'm late to the party on the fad but I've seen some pretty scary ombrés out there in the world. I had annie today and she did a wonderful job. I told her I wanted something natural but still following the ombré style. She delivered and it's so pretty. Not to mention the price was awesome because my hair is really long and really thick. Five stars for SURE! I've been getting my hair done by Marissa since she was at Scarlet, when I called and asked, "Who can you recommend to me for long hair?" The receptionist immediately said, "Marissa!! She's amazing with long hair! She's my stylist, too." Well... SOLD. I saw Marissa at the old salon a few times, and always loved my hair afterward. She's incredibly talented & professional. When I found out she was moving to Fleur Salon, of course I followed her. Yesterday-- pre-appointment-- my hair was a dry, brittle nightmare. Marissa has a way/technique/magical ability to take off all the gross split ends, while reshaping layers and keeping the length intact. She also recommended a much needed heat protectant for my hair. When I left, it was SO smooth, healthy, and shiny. I'll definitely be a regular at Fleur. Also, the décor of the salon is beautiful, and the owners are super friendly! What owner nowadays actually introduces themselves to you and shakes your hand? Bottom line (after too much damn wordiness): If you have any doubts, DON'T. I can't recommend Fleur Salon more! The salon itself has a wonderful cool modern, yet classic vibe. The staff is great and will make you feel right at home, and yes, as other yelpers mentioned, mimosas on Saturday! They only have street parking, but I have never had a problem getting a spot right in front of the salon anytime I visit. Over the past ten years I have seen two of the owners and have never been anything but thrilled with my results. I can't say enough about Kristianna, I have been seeing her for over ten years (I followed her to four different salons before she finally opened Fleur) and at this point couldn't imagine trusting anyone else with my cut or color. I literally have people stop me on the street and ask me where I get my highlights done; they look beautiful and natural. She has a wonderful eye for cuts as well. My hair looks great not only when I walk out of salon but also several weeks weeks later when it has begun to grow out (no matter what I do with my hair, long, short, bangs, and everything in between...in ten years I have had it all and always looked great)! After seeing the great reviews I scheduled an appt and they were even able to squeeze me in on short notice before my first day at a new job. Annie's the third colorist that has attempted to do balayage on my hair and she succeeded. Annie is AMAZING! She is the only hairstylist who I have felt has exceeded my expectations on how I want my hair to be cut and colored, I am very picky! Needless to say she is also the only hairstylist in over 10 years who has gotten and will continue to have my repeat business. It really wasn't the amazing job that she did with the cut and color on my first visit, it was the blow-dry job that she did. Annie really knows how to bring the volume to your hair, even if it is straight and lifeless like mine. Most people I have been to in the past just quickly dry it and send me on my way. As others have said, the interior is well done with a shabby chic, with a New Orleans vibrant zest. Also, their online booking system is very convenient and I have never had any problems with it. Honestly, I wouldn't trust my hair with anyone else. I have been seeing Kristianna since I was 8, I currently am 20. She does such a spectacular job with color, to the point where no ever knows my hair has been colored. In fact I can have 3 inches of grow out and no one can notice because she does such a stellar job blending your natural color with your highlights or lowlights. She always has suggestions and never ever have I come out saying I hate my hair. Her cuts are amazing. You never have to the fake "I love it," and then cry at home about your hair. She will cut it how you want and always add a few ideas for you to consider. She is so nice and friendly and down to earth, I could never imagine seeing anyone else. She also did my hair for my prom and it was so beautiful! She had lots of ideas and really made my night so special! Now, Tommy, another owner has cut my hair before when Kristianna was unavailable and he did an amazing job. He cut it exactly how it needed to be cut and added a couple ideas that I loved. Tommy also did my older sisters hair for prom and it was nothing short from perfection. The salon itself is super hip, carrying Kerastase which is by far the best product line. Parking is easy, if you go just one block up parking is extended to 5 hours. I go to school in Rhode Island, and go months without a hair cut, and yet no one can ever tell it's been dyed except for me. I refuse to see anyone else but Kristianna. I started getting my hair cut by Tommy when I was in my late teens and his genius with hair is fully realized in every aspect of his salon, Fleur. The space is clean, gorgeous and best of all, it's not one of those salons that makes you feel like you would have had to visit a salon to even go in. (This is to say Fleur strikes the delicate balance between first-class while still being warm and inviting.) Tommy's skills with hair are nothing short of transformative. He is masterful with color, cut and styling: No one has been able to replicate a glossy Tommy blowout on hair that earned me the nickname "Sideshow Bob" in middle school. I've always left Tommy's chair with hair like satin and expert product recommendations to do my best at home. Fleur carries Kérastase, which is the most effective line I have ever used. (It's worth it to follow Fleur on Facebook because they sometimes have sales!). Fortunately for those of us who have to be a little more budget-conscious at times, Tommy also has an eye for others' talent. He referred me to one of his stylists, Annie, whose ladies cuts are on the lower side of the price range but whose work with curls is still golden. I first visited Annie in April to cut in bangs and trim all over. Before I knew it the year got away from me and I think it speaks volumes (pun intended) that my hair had just barely started to lose its shape 8 months later. In December I went for a total makeover: color, cut, and brow wax. Annie executed all requests with precision. I have a coworker who sees Kirsten and raves. Bottom line: There are no misses at Fleur. I've been searching for a great hairdresser for 3 years now and I'm happy to say I finally found her! Devon is AWESOME! She's knowledgable, takes her time and is a sweetheart to top it off. So my first visit didn't go as planned. I mistakenly didn't select the right option of what I wanted done when I booked online. Long story short, Devon told me she would need at least 3 hours instead of the 2 I was booked for. That impressed me a lot as I've had hair dressers in the past that try to rush through what I want just to please me and it ends badly. I had to rebook a month out which was honestly fine with me because it was my mistake in the first place. I wanted a balayage for summer time and I'm pretty positive every strand of hair she painted is perfect. I have very thick hair so it did take more than 3 hours but Devon didn't even think about rushing it. The conversation was just as great as the hair coloring. The price shocked me and was very fair for the time it took! I'll be going here for as long as I live in Denver. Oh, one con, the salon doesn't have a parking lot so you'll have to pay to park. All of the meters have a two hour limit so you'll have to feed the meter if you're there for longer than that. Good news is, the stylists will typically run out there for you so you're not looking like a pack of tin foil running down the road. read more

I recently moved to Denver and I'm so happy I went to Fleur! Devon is awesome! I've never written a review before, but Devon saved me from a bad dye job so here I am, giving 5 stars! I had previously gone to someone at another salon who misinterpreted the color I wanted, but I wasn't comfortable going back to the same guy, so I called Fleur based on their Yelp reviews and booked an appointment with Devon the following day. Andy, the person who set up my appointment, was friendly and professional even though I called 5 minutes before they closed (on a Friday no less!). He was also kind enough to step out of the salon to help me find the place the day of bc I was lost! My appointment started right on time and Devon was super nice throughout. I was pretty nervous while she was doing my hair bc I didn't know if it would turn out worse, but Devon worked her magic and it came out WAY better than I expected. If you look at the example photo I showed her vs. the fix she did, she did an amazing job! Thank you, Devon!! Also, I have frizzy/wavy hair (à la Yoko Ono) that gets into a tangled mess easily and the products Devon used made my hair SUPER soft and silky! I don't think my hair has ever been that soft in my life. Even two days after the appointment without washing my hair it was still smooth with zero tangles! Definitely going back! read more

In my whole life, all those stylists, only Casie looked at my hair and immediately knew how it worked. "You have a whorl", she said, "it goes like this (making a counter-clockwise motion from the back of my head to the front). You have to cut for that." So she did. And then she taught me how to comb for it too. And for the first time ever, my hair stayed in place where I wanted it, all day long. That was several months ago, and Casie has updated my look and kept me sharp ever since. There have been adjustments but always following the way my hair works. The right color, the right look, and best of all, everything stays where it should all the time. Fleur is great, very accommodating and comfortable, reasonably priced too. But the star is Casie. When I moved from DC to Denver two years ago I set out to find a talented stylist, thinking I probably wouldn't find someone as great as my stylist there. And I didn't. I found someone even better: Kristianna Simmons. She's an artist. Careful and an expert at just the right amount of blonde. And her cuts? Wow. Just beautiful. And there's never any pressure to cut or do something outside my comfort zone. She listens and gives great advice for what she thinks will work best for my hair. Background: I've had a lot of bad haircuts. My last haircut was so bad, I waited a year to get another one. I booked with Andrea. I've never gone into a salon and left with better hair than I anticipated. I went in open to pretty much anything that gave my hair some life. She made my hair a super pretty, shimmery champagne blonde and cut off just the right amount. Like, when I say "I want to keep the length and get rid of the dead ends," that's what she does. Last time I said that to a stylist, she cut some random blocky layer into my hair that I'm pretty certain I didn't ask for. So if you're nervous about booking with someone who might not understand what you want, or does the literal opposite of what you asked for, then book with Andrea. She is amazing. read more

This is such an awesome salon!! It is reasonably priced with an incredible atmosphere. Lauren has been doing my hair for years and I've never walked away feeling anything short of fabulous. I'm not sure if she specializes in blonde, but she has a magic touch for it! SO TALENTED! She has even been able to seamlessly correct an embarrassing/atrocious attempt at at-home color on my part... It's been a while since I could say that I left a salon and was thoroughly happy with my hair and hairstylist...but that all changed after having Lauren highlight my hair. I LOVE what she did!! My natural hair is an ashy brown but I like for it to have a more natural blond look, and that's exactly what she did. Super soft, natural highlights (she used 2 tones of blond to achieve the look). But on top of her doing a great job with the color, she was also friendly and easy to talk with. With other stylist I felt like it was a struggle coming up with things to talk about which kind of makes the experience a little awkward, but that wasn't the case with Lauren. I'm genuinely so happy with the whole experience! As for the salon, it was a little hard initially getting an appointment through the online booking but after calling, they were able to help me get an appointment on the days that worked for me. No real complaints, just a tip to call if you can't get anything scheduled online. And then parking is another thing to consider. It's only street parking so give yourself a little extra time to find a spot and pay the meter. If your appointment is taking longer than 2 hours just ask your stylist if someone can run to the meter and put in a few quarters. read more

I'm finally writing this review. Do you ever feel guilty for not wanting to be a killjoy? Well, I have decided that's bullshit so here's my review. I went to Fleur during the summer; I'd started cutting my hair myself and decided I didn't want to finish the job, so I called Fleur, told the receptionist my situation, and said that I needed someone with lots of experience who could help me get the cut I wanted. He recommended Andrea, who has 12 years experience. I hadn't had a professional cut in a year-and-a-half, and I hadn't had a PRECISION CUT in even longer. Well, Andrea is literally the opposite of a precision stylist. She used a razor on my hair (razors give a rough finish) and I even had to point out that there was a chunk of hair on one side that wasn't in alignment (I wanted an asymmetrical a-line bob). She wanted to cut my bangs past the hairline, so now as I'm growing out this horrible cut I look like I have a half-Beatles haircut. I was pretty horrified. So much so that I truly questioned whether I had actually just gotten such a shitty cut. After taking a few photos, I realized that yes, it was shit. I posted some frustrated selfies on IG, asking for help with finding a precision stylist, and found a local stylist who has helped me get back on track (thank you Randa!) Fleur, you suck. read more

I have been to countless salons in the Denver area after moving here from Orange County 4 years ago. I am constantly changing my hair color and cut but generally have ombré/ blonde long hair. I went to Devon in August before a wedding and she completely corrected my outgrown mess into a honey blonde that i loved. Today I went to Devon to go back to BLONDE blonde and to have my hair cut shoulder length with side bangs. This is my 3rd salon since moving to Denver last November. I was nervous but excited for my appt. with Andrea. I couldn't be more thrilled with the outcome. Not only did Andrea listen to the concerns I had with my last 2 hairstylists, she also listened to my overall hair questions and concerns providing a lot of knowledge, education, and solutions. I genuinely cannot say enough good things about this salon. Specifically, Andrea. No really. She's a magic worker - the Bob Ross of balayage. After a year of dying my naturally blonde hair almost black, I went to another salon in DEN attempting to return to my natural hair color, spent mad $$$ and ended up with the most unfortunate highlights you've ever seen. I came to Andrea with blonde roots, brassy half-box-dyed, half-tiger striped hair 2 months later feeling thoroughly defeated. BUT she went above and beyond my expectations. She's one of those rare stylists who can almost read your mind. She's matter-of-fact, no nonsense, incredibly focused, and extremely talented. She solved my hair problems and invested extra time even though she didn't have to. I've never felt so indebted to a hair stylist in my life. Swear to god I'm hooked. Never wasting time at another salon again. Andrea clearly gets a lot of love on his Yelp page, but also want to note that the rest of the stylists are great too. I love this salon! Its cute, fun and clean. I've been to Annie twice now for a balayage and cut and she is amazing! She's easy to talk to and really listens to what you want while giving you her expert opinion. The balayage Ive gotten from her grows out perfect and Ive never gotten so many compliments even 8 weeks after getting my hair done. I love her cutting techniques and I don't feel like it is something just any stylist can do. To finish off my hair she always gives me a great blow out and really takes her time. The parking is metered so give yourself extra time, but the salon staff is always nice an offers to drop some quarters in if you go over the time. I get the most compliments on my hair whenever Kristianna cuts it, so I'm only ever having her do my hair for the rest of my life! My hair naturally lays funny, but Kristianna always finds a way to cut it so it's fashionable and easy to manage. In the past couple years, she's colored it as well. I was always afraid of color, but she did it in a way that looked natural and it was easy to maintain -- I didn't have to come in all the time to get my color done. And she does wonders with covering up the gray hairs. On top of that, she gives great massages when washing my hair, and her state of being is so calming, relaxing and even healing. I got my hair done by Tommy. I never go to a salon and I don't really like cutting my hair, but this place was so pleasant and welcoming. It was nice from walking in to walking out. I got a wonderful shampoo and then Tommy began in my hair. He listened to everything that I wanted including my part and my bangs which I am picky about. He made the experience not awkward and enjoyable. He kept up a conversation and did the best job I've ever had on my hair. I will be back when I am in Denver and in need of a haircut. The staff makes each visit very relaxing-- offering something to drink during each appointment & very nice scalp massages with each wash.
