We have been repeat customers of Fleur Salon for years (see prior review). Kristianna, Tommy, and Brandon have all been wonderful!! Unfortunately, our experience with Joshua T left much to be desired in terms of customer relations. His technical skill is not in question (although he did leave a funky bit on my son's sideburn area, see photos), but the upsetting part was that he seemed defensive of his work when no criticism was given. My son came in with very long hair and a few reference images & photos (some verbal descriptions given as well, i.e. requested an undercut, but long on top with lots of layers). Joshua had a dismissive attitude towards some of the reference images and seemed quite testy with our attempts to explain the goal look. Clearly we did a bad job of communicating the goal cut, because at midpoint of the haircut he stated we were "asking for a completely different haircut" when he asked for feedback. It turned an exciting day my son had been anticipating into a stressful disappointment and he did not come away feeling like he'd gotten what he'd hoped for. Perhaps Joshua could work on taking the honest feedback that he requests during a session in a more constructive manner. read more

Annie Thomas is a true gem and has always been able to execute exactly whatever I've hoped for when I'm ready to make a change, whether I come with photos and specifics or just loose ideas. I consider myself to be pretty inept when it comes to styling, and Annie always answers my questions and gives helpful tips and suggestions without making me feel foolish, even when I literally asked her how to properly blow dry my hair. She's incredibly talented at what she does while also being very down to earth, easy to talk to, and sweet - truly the jackpot in a hairstylist! I've also seen several other stylists for routine bang trims (complementary, what a gift!) and have always been pleased with the outcome and the time each person has taken to make sure I'm happy with the result, whether or not I see them regularly. I was lucky enough to squeeze in on a Wednesday morning, I booked through the online website. Lucky to have confirmed my appointment, I got Lauren. Firstly, I am honored to call out Lauren for her featherlight hands. I couldn't feel a thing with her handling my hair. Very gentle! I showed her numerous photos, she was very close to the photo. I wanted a red ombré with fire red and blonde bottom. I got a warmer color, and very light bottom, I think it came out OH,oh, oh so cute! Very similar to the photo, can't stress that enough! The salon is animal friendly, the owner uses lots of cruelty free brands, I loved the Wella shampoos and conditioners that Lauren used-- the whole experience felt fast and did not drag on! I can't believe I've never written a review for this place! I've been here three times and have referred countless of my friends here as well. The store is well kept, decor is super cute and modern, and they do a great job here. There are plenty of street parking right outside and they are metered parking but I've never had trouble finding a spot. My hairstylist, Devon, is wonderful! She is so hardworking, talented, and sweet. I am glad we were paired together since the beginning! She has cut my hair twice and each time I feel like a new person. She is very good at recommending styles that will suit my face and is very efficient. Not to mention, she gives quite a good hair wash as well. I also had Devon give me balayage and even over half a year later, the color is still going strong and I love it! I would highly recommend this place for your hair needs and you will not go wrong. Ummmm yes yes yes. This salon met all of my hair care needs!! I'm not really the type of person who has a specific hairdresser; I constantly shop around and try out different spots just because. But that miiiiiiight stop now because I had such a positive experience with Devon. I really look forward to returning (for once). I called day of and asked if there were any openings, and they were kind enough to fit me in. There were only a couple other clients in the building, so it was pretty quiet.. Not too quiet with the radio playing, just relaxing enough. I was met with a smile from the receptionist and then Devon took over -- asking me exactly what I was looking for in a cut and color, explaining different ideas and options to nr, getting me complimentary wine, filling up my car meter when it ran out of time, cutting my hair beautifully, checking ingredients in all the hair products for gluten, massaging my head and neck during the wash -- all the while entertaining me with anecdotes and listening to my own life story. It was like a therapy session. I felt invigorated when I walked out the door. For my cut (not just a trim but an actual cut), full highlights, blow dry + style, and hair product (10% off one product if you check in on Yelp), it totaled around $170. Not bad at all considering the amount of work that was done and the quality experience I had. I definitely recommend this salon. Little integrity and poor styling - I called for a consultation and asked if I could end up with balayage. They said fine and that it would be $200. When I went to get it done, it ended up not being very different than when I came in. They still charged me and I left. I was thinking about how it wasn't what I wanted so I went back to get it fixed. She put the color on and then left me with an apprentice. Once the apprentice was done toning, no one checked on me and I left. After a few days I chatted with the stylist about how it still was like little pieces of lighting and not what I had asked for. I asked if i would be charged for it and she said yes. I said I wouldn't have originally paid if I knew it'd be a long process that was 200+ dollars. I didn't hear back so two days later I called and spoke with Andrew. He explained that it's not able to lighten or reach what I wanted and 2 or more sessions was normal. He said with my hair history, it's probably not possible to get that look for a while. I told him that I was told it would work and he apologized and said that it it had been a master stylist that would have been communicated. He said the best option he could give me, since I could't spend a lot, was to meet with an apprentice a few times. I said no thank you. I eventually went to another salon 1 week later and the pictures show what my hair looked like after Fluer and what it looked like after the other salon that could lighten it enough in a healthy way. I was disappointed by the lack of communication and the salon not owning up to it but still offering me options to spend my money there. read more

Annie gave me a cut, and I had to come back another time for a longer appointment with Andrea to get my hair bleached. They were both amazing, treated my hair very gentle and gave me great advices in the process. Both times I left with way healthier and more beautiful looking hair. Everyone who works in this salon is extremely nice and friendly. I do think they have wine, since I overheard another client asking for it (which is just a nice thing to offer your clients). And as far as prices go, I was very pleasantly surprised! Bleach & tone were only $140. This is my first time going to hair salon in Denver after moving from NYC, so maybe I'm comparing the prices to already over-priced Manhattan salons, but I think for the service and quality I received the cost was very very reasonable. After having the same amazing colorist for 12+ years, I moved to Denver recently and had been putting off getting a haircut (even though I really badly needed one) because I was worried that I wouldn't be able to find someone who could color like my old stylist. Enter Fleur Salon and Kirstyn -- not only was I able to book an appointment within the week, but Kirstyn did SUCH an amazing job with my hair that my only regret is I didn't come here sooner. First, she asked so many careful, detailed questions about my hair and my color before we started that I knew I was in good hands. She ended up doing full foil highlights to give me a blonde, copper-tinged that looks INCREDIBLE, and gave me a *great* haircut as well. Everyone who works there seems so friendly and talented too. I have sat with writing this review for about three weeks now. It's not my intent to hurt the stylist reputation. But, after being completely heartbroken over the TERRIBLE hair cut I received I decided it was fair to post this very honest and disappointing experience. I spent a few months in search of my "new salon". I was not in a huge hurry for change and I was growing my hair out. With all the amazing reviews and tons of 5 stars honestly, I just zipped right over the bad reviews. NOW, I can only wish I would have spent more time reading (I'll never make that mistake again) If even just a few of the bad reviews. As there was another reviewer whom seemed to have a similar experience. After reading all the "good" reviews I booked with Devon. For three weeks every time I have looked or touched the length of my hair I get very upset. Okay, it's "just hair" yes it "grows back". But, she chopped into my hair giving me layers I stressed I didn't want - some of the things I told her; I am growing my hair out and I want it all one length NO LAYERS. I just couldn't believe the experience. I couldn't believe getting the exact opposite of what I asked and further more getting exactly what I didn't want! I would never go back and I hope your smarter then I was and read or at least skim the other poor experiences, and choose not just another stylist more wisely but, I would choose a whole other salon! Thank you Yelp for steering me to this salon. I enjoyed my appointment with Annie over the weekend for a balayage. She took her time to listen to what I was looking for and set me up with some pretty hair. The salon has parking out front (meters) and I would recommend walking or ubering to avoid the hassle of replenishing your meter and avoiding tickets. I liked the vibe of the salon; it was bright and cheerful with great music. The selection of Kerastase products is abundant along with the Wella line which is a more friendly price point.
