I'm incredibly disappointed in this experience. I paid $250 to get my highlights retouched and spent 3 hours here. I came home and to my disbelief, an entire section of my head was missed. It was also not highlighted and was in very large yellow chunks. I felt like Cruella Deville from 101 Dalmatians. I called back and they told me I could "come back in a few days" to get "an extra foil" to even it out and that I should "part my hair another way" to fix it. I went to another salon the next day and they were in disbelief that this was the result of an appointment at Allure 24 hours prior. In order to fix this job, I paid another $200 at another salon and have to go back again in 4 weeks for another touchup. I was not offered any apology, my emails to Allure have been ignored and no refund was offered. No one has called me to apologize or fix this either. The first photo was taken at home within 2 hours of my appointment and the next were taken by another hair stylist at another business. The other hair salon told me I was not overreacting and I should get my money back as well. Update 6/19/23: They claimed that I suddenly decided to part my hair on the side for the first time in 30 years. They also claimed to have responded to my emails days ago when I didn't get an email until several hours ago today. They also questioned when the photos were taken, which is insanity. I am looking for a reputable hair solon in my area....reading your (owner) long/excuses to customer issues/problems, it helps to review yelp. One star is the lowest referral a former disappointed/unhappy customer can leave...even having been a client for a while, not a first-timer when anything can happen.....both client and professisonal aren't 100% certain what can happen with color unless a strand test is performed to guarantee the color agrees with the client's wishes. If not done, it could be a guess. I suggest the latter and get the formula if correct. This is not anyplace I would want togo....to many mishaps/excuses (by owner...always an excuse.....mostly blaming the client for something. Not attempting to 'fix' the issue...lets the one star reviews say what your salon is all about. It pays & takes time for new customers looking for a salon to look at reviews...this is not the place to go. If excuses are 2 paragraphs long...blah/blah, this should say everything. Very simple.......just fix your mistakes (as the owner) the stylist has made that the client is unhappy about, or refund. Either fix the issue, or refund. If you want an ubhappy repeat customer spreading the BAD word to not solicit your salon...you have not learned the skills to handle this...therefore BAD word spreads like wildfire......as they say...'keep it simple, stupid'.....just a concede or reaching out is better than what you do. I super loved it!!!! I bought a Groupon for full highlights, a haircut, a deep conditioning treatment and style service at Allure. Samantha was my stylist and she was just amazing. The service is top, super fast even though we are having this Covid 19 in our lives, they helped me as soon as I walked inside. The massage she gave me in my head was just the best and she has an excellent knowledge about coloring and how to choose the right one for you. If you go in for highlights, and leave with an entire head of darker hair, they think that is fine, nothing wrong, perhaps even normal. Rebecca did a great job of cutting my hair and so I trusted her with minor Balayage highlights on my virgin hair, which I spent the last 6 years growing the color out of. Not only did she admit concern later that the mixture she put on my hair turned it NEON YELLOW, then washed out GREEN, but when I ended up without any highlights at all, she said, "The highlights are there, you just can't see them, the lighting is bad." "I did it darker on purpose" "Wash it three times and it will look more like the picture." (Yes, I brought a picture of what i wanted.) The owner and the stylist were both defensive, refused to credit me back my money, and wanted to continue "trying" to get my hair closer to what I asked for. Yassss queen. Loved my experience here. Devyne came recommended to me by a friend and she did not disappoint! The salon is located in a cute corner shop and sports SUPER comfy salon chairs and shampoo bowls. They also offer coffee and water upon entry which is a nice touch. Devyne was incredibly knowledgeable, efficient and made me feel at ease throughout. She cut my hair dry which at first, I was pretty weary of. But, she explained that cutting it dry allows her to see how my hair sits naturally which she would not be able to see if it we're wet. I still got the full service shampoo and blowout after, though and the scalp massage was heaven. I'm sorta over worrying about how my hair will turnout at other salons. This hair salon basically screwed me over for having my hair done for my wedding! I called about a month ago to schedule an appt and I told them the only day I could do it was Wednesday may 11th. They then scheduled a time to come in for a consult. At the end of the consult I asked what time I was coming in on May 11th to actually have my hair done. Turns out no one is available. I drove from Thornton to denver wasting around 2 hours of my day and I don't have someone to dye my hair a week and a half before the wedding. Anyone that's really good is already booked up this last minute so they really screwed me with their disorganization. Response: I understand that you need the consult first but when I called I was very clear the only day I had available was May 11th and that it was for my wedding. I told them only book me for a consult if they can get me on the schedule that day. It wasn't a misunderstanding on my part. I should have at the very least been notified not to come for the consult when not a single stylist was available May 11th. It's a shame I had to post a review to 'see what could be done for my wedding' instead of while I was actually at the salon explaining my situation. I love Allure! I've struggled with finding the right stylist since moving from San Francisco, but I finally found her with Rebekah! She's been doing my hair for almost 2 years (which is often because I have a lot of greys :/) and she always knocks it out of the park. Sometimes I have her work her magic with no direction and other times I bring an inspiration photo and she nails it every time! I just moved over from the UK and have been looking out for a good salon. I actually had my eye on a salon closer to home but they couldn't fit me in until over a week away and I'm impatient. This time it paid off! After *extensive* research I found that allure had a great portfolio of fashion colors and bright blondes. That's important to me because I've had a billion different colors and my hair really takes to pigment - they clearly know what they are doing. I had my appointment with Devyn, and she is awesome! I went from a platinum with baaad roots to a softer blonde with some lowlights so it doesn't grow out and look tacky instantly. She also did a really nice cut. My hair was badly damaged on the ends and now it's bouncy and healthy! She also has stellar head massage skillz. The salon is really nice and has friendly staff. Devyn gave great product recommendations which I listened to for once because the profit from which goes to staff development! That's a nice touch :) she also made sure any questions on styling and care were answered thoroughly, so you can recreate your ~look~ at home. I flew in from Washington specifically to come to this salon, I've been going to allure hair for many years and have always seen Devyn, which she is amazing. This time I saw Rebekah since devyn was out this weekend. I asked her for a balayage (pic attached) and Rebekah said she was able to do it. After she washed out my hair she let me know that I may need to dye it once or twice to get it to this tone. It turned out red, I over paid for something that was not the service I was promised. I returned a few minutes later and told her that this was not even close to what I asked for and to just dye it all black. She took 20 mins to dye it black then told me she was done without even drying my hair. I asked her to dry it since there is snow laying outside. I requested at least some of my money back and the manager was very rude telling me that I needed to leave and laughing at my situation. She was very unwelcoming and was not at all understanding of my frustration. I do not recommend seeing Rebekah, I was very skeptical of seeing her from the start, should've just trusted my gut feeling. I was going to buy a Groupon for this place. I have actually been here before and thought that they did a good job. Trying to find somewhere that I can make them "the place I go to" I gave this place another chance. This time around I found a Groupon. I called to make sure they had an appointment before I bought it and was told that they would honor the price. I made the appointment and told them that this was for my older mother who needed to get their roots covered and then add the highlights. They said yes. I said I know it will be an extra charge but she's really upset that she's gray is taking over. So that's important. The person over the phone said yes. We can do that. Today we get there and my mother absolutely hated her hair! Why you may ask? No root touch up. When I told them what happened and that this is not what we had asked for they took her back and asked if they could give her a cap and she could wash it out at home. I said no knowing well my mother would be upset if she had to do that. 45 min later, Her hair came out extra dark at the top no longer with highlights. Her entire forehead and ears were stained and when asked to remove they were not happy about it. My mother's hair has gray in it still where they added the black and it's patchy. Price went up from $70 to $150 for the "root cover-up" I still tipped them not the full amount (I will tip more on Wednesday if it all come out the way she asked or at least closer to what she wanted) I wanted but that's because if the upsetting hair color job. Rebecca said she wasn't told but I specifically told her them over the phone. I'm in front of the receptionist who she blamed for not being told I asked if they had someone else so that we could confirm what we had specifically asked for. They were very nice about it and we set up another appointment for Wednesday to fix her hair. I will update this review once Wednesday comes. UPDATE: Y'all this place is a joke. I gave her a call back told her exactly what happened and the Owner Nicole hung up on me when I asked if she was insinuating that I was lying about me asking for her roots to be covered up and my mom not communicating because she doesn't speak English (She does speak it she doesn't feel comfortable doing it so this is why I was there). The stylist Rebecca specifically asked what she wanted and said "we're doing full highlights and cut?" I told her, "yes full highlights grey cover-up I know it will cost more but that's fine." haircut not sure and then showed her a picture my mom showed me...she did not get that. Rebecca comes back out and she says "she doesn't like it" My mother is not picky. So I go and see and all she got was highlights her hair was still showing all her grey. So I look at Rebecca and say " well her grey is still showing?" And she responds with she didn't tell me. I told her. They go back and add color to cover her grey and I am told she can go home with a cap and rinse herself. I say no because this has already been a bad experience and that this needs to get done here so we can see if it is done well and they get visibly upset at my response. They take my mom to rinse and she comes out with obvious black tint all over her forehead and ears and side of the cheeks. I ask for it to be removed and once again they are upset. I relay this to the Owner Nicole and she mentions how my mother doesn't SPEAK English and that this was the miscommunication and I snapped and said look I was the one letting the stylist and your receptionist know what she needed not her. She needed the grey covered and I know its extra $$ but that is fine. And I quote she said "I don't think that we are not the salon for you and hangs up". Horrible customer service, Horrible service overall. Will be posting pictures of my poor mother's hair so you can see for yourselves and choose not to go here. They legit have a no racist comments chalk board and I loved it but Microaggressions like these don't fly with me! read more

I hadn't ever had a bad experience when I was just getting my roots done here. I had been travelling and changed my colour, and was excited to come back to have some things touched up. I came in with copper hair that needed the roots brightened. I left with muddy, blotchy, brown, yellow, and damaged hair. They charged me $400. I had to correct the hair myself, as I had work the next day. They offered to have me back to even up what I had done, and ended up making it even worse. When I went to the counter, the stylist was VERY rude to me and told me that "my hair was fried," and that she didn't want me back. I asked for a refund from her, and she flat out refused. I called the owner, who took a week to get ahold of, and after a VERY rude conversation, she asked me to send her photos. A week later, I get a terse reply saying that she will not be refunding me. I have to get my hair corrected by a better stylist because of their awful work, and I'm already out (an absolutely ridiculous) $400 for what they already did. Also, notice that they have filled up their page with their own photos so that the actual photos from customers aren't prevalent. It's clear from their responses that they don't know how to handle their mistakes. They are beyond unprofessional here. Go elsewhere. read more

Obviously, I didn't have the option of coming back to your studio the same day after the bad haircut I had received. I had politely asked for a refund because I had to get my hair fixed the same day from another stylist due to urgency. I don't wish to post bad stuff but no one had the courtesy to read and respond to my message and issue a refund because I had lost my hard-earned money. She did exactly that! I felt very comfortable with her and after seeing the end result, I very much trust her with both cut and color. It's been impossible to find a good stylist in Denver. I don't want to call out the stylist I went to here but want to leave a review that might help others. I came in for cool light blonde highlights. I emphasized that I didn't want any gold, orange, or yellow in my hair. My ends were already a cool light blonde. I Had never been to this studio before but I saw that they had pretty good reviews so I decided to check it out since I was looking for a new stylist. My appointment was at 6, I got there at 5:45 and called from my car per Covid guidelines, I was told my stylist was not yet ready so I waited. They called me back at 6:10 to come in, my stylist and I talked for maybe 5 mins about what I wanted to do (just getting a cut and I was going from mid back length hair to a bob). I was definitely a bit indecisive, I had some photos but this was a big change for me, she kinda shot down what I wanted I mean I'm open for input but you can't expect someone who doesn't know hair to say "ok if that is it going to work do this" in a plot second. She told me she cuts dry then does the wash/blow out. I thought this was odd but ok, part way through she says "we talked for so long about what you wanted so I am running behind and don't have time to wash and style but if you want to reschedule we can do a separate blowout then". This was annoying because she blamed me for not having time when she was late to call me in, and from sit down to leaving I was only there for 35 min even with short hair that's not long enough for a cut/wash/blowout. Clearly someone double booked and if that happens just be honest about it. Or if you don't want to do my hair just tell me. I would rather go to someone who actually wants to work on my hair. I would have loved to keep going back but not after that. The cut is fine, I like it, I would have actually asked to go shorter but I felt super rushed by her so I truly didn't get what I wanted and that's a bummer. I won't be going back here. I would highly recommend Rachelle to anyone in need of a stylist. I was honestly no help to her, I just said cut it and take all the brassy color out and make it look natural. She took initiative and kept me in the loop the whole time and my hair came out with exactly what I wanted (just didn't know exactly how to say) We made plans on how to keep up with the little maintenance I will need and how I can easily fit it into my busy schedule.
