    I super loved it!!!! I bought a Groupon for full highlights, a haircut, a deep conditioning treatment and style service at Allure. Samantha was my stylist and she was just amazing. The service is top, super fast even though we are having this Covid 19 in our lives, they helped me as soon as I walked inside. The massage she gave me in my head was just the best and she has an excellent knowledge about coloring and how to choose the right one for you. My hair looks amazing and I will for sure come back soon.

    Allure is the best place to get your hair colored. Angie got me from dark brown to grey in only 3 sessions! And she's really great to talk to too! I highly recommend this place. They even talk and work as a team to help each other learn.

    Angie is an absolute wizard. She took my jet-black hair and turned it into this incredibly vibrant, colorful gradient in 2 sessions. I still cannot believe this is my real hair, attached to my head? So amazing. 5/5 stars

    I only go to Devyn! She's been coloring and cutting my red hair for years and I am blown away every time. I pretty much just schedule the appt and ask her what she'd do to my hair to make it perfect, and then let her work her magic. Never fails.

    Black hair AFTER supposed "Balayage Highlights"

    If you go in for highlights, and leave with an entire head of darker hair, they think that is fine, nothing wrong, perhaps even normal. Rebecca did a great job of cutting my hair and so I trusted her with minor Balayage highlights on my virgin hair, which I spent the last 6 years growing the color out of. Not only did she admit concern later that the mixture she put on my hair turned it NEON YELLOW, then washed out GREEN, but when I ended up without any highlights at all, she said, "The highlights are there, you just can't see them, the lighting is bad." "I did it darker on purpose" "Wash it three times and it will look more like the picture." (Yes, I brought a picture of what i wanted.) The owner and the stylist were both defensive, refused to credit me back my money, and wanted to continue "trying" to get my hair closer to what I asked for. You could not pay me to let them even come near my hair again! BEWARE!!! My experience with OWNER NICOLE was AWFUL!!! ( Just like others have noted in their reviews)! My hair was very dark ash brown, now it's almost Black! PICTURE is of black hair AFTER supposed "Balayage Highlights" (& 2 washes)

    Yassss queen. Loved my experience here. Devyne came recommended to me by a friend and she did not disappoint! The salon is located in a cute corner shop and sports SUPER comfy salon chairs and shampoo bowls. They also offer coffee and water upon entry which is a nice touch. Devyne was incredibly knowledgeable, efficient and made me feel at ease throughout. She cut my hair dry which at first, I was pretty weary of. But, she explained that cutting it dry allows her to see how my hair sits naturally which she would not be able to see if it we're wet. I still got the full service shampoo and blowout after, though and the scalp massage was heaven. I'm sorta over worrying about how my hair will turnout at other salons. Looking forward to coming back.

    I love Allure! I've struggled with finding the right stylist since moving from San Francisco, but I finally found her with Rebekah! She's been doing my hair for almost 2 years (which is often because I have a lot of greys :/) and she always knocks it out of the park. Sometimes I have her work her magic with no direction and other times I bring an inspiration photo and she nails it every time! I've gone darker, blonder and ashier and it's always on trend and beautiful. She's great cutting my curls as well. The salon is a neighborhood gem and I always have so much fun at our sessions. Thanks for saving my stressed out locks Rebekah!

    Rachelle is the most talented colorist I have ever come across. I have had such a hard time coloring extensions/wigs and thank god I found her! She was so inviting, confident and kind when I brought this hair 'project' to her. She communicated with me through her process and the results came out far better than I could have ever imagined. I am so happy with my piece & I will be returning to her for all my coloring needs! Thank you so much!!

    How I left (hair undone and barely blow dried)

    I flew in from Washington specifically to come to this salon, I've been going to allure hair for many years and have always seen Devyn, which she is amazing. This time I saw Rebekah since devyn was out this weekend. I asked her for a balayage (pic attached) and Rebekah said she was able to do it. After she washed out my hair she let me know that I may need to dye it once or twice to get it to this tone. It turned out red, I over paid for something that was not the service I was promised. I returned a few minutes later and told her that this was not even close to what I asked for and to just dye it all black. She took 20 mins to dye it black then told me she was done without even drying my hair. I asked her to dry it since there is snow laying outside. I requested at least some of my money back and the manager was very rude telling me that I needed to leave and laughing at my situation. She was very unwelcoming and was not at all understanding of my frustration. I do not recommend seeing Rebekah, I was very skeptical of seeing her from the start, should've just trusted my gut feeling. I am not really a confrontational person, so I was a little surprised to hear such bad customer service.

    They promised to fix it...this is what I get hours later.

    I was going to buy a Groupon for this place. I have actually been here before and thought that they did a good job. Trying to find somewhere that I can make them "the place I go to" I gave this place another chance. This time around I found a Groupon. I called to make sure they had an appointment before I bought it and was told that they would honor the price. I made the appointment and told them that this was for my older mother who needed to get their roots covered and then add the highlights. They said yes. I said I know it will be an extra charge but she's really upset that she's gray is taking over. So that's important. The person over the phone said yes. We can do that. Today we get there and my mother absolutely hated her hair! Why you may ask? No root touch up. When I told them what happened and that this is not what we had asked for they took her back and asked if they could give her a cap and she could wash it out at home. I said no knowing well my mother would be upset if she had to do that. 45 min later, Her hair came out extra dark at the top no longer with highlights. Her entire forehead and ears were stained and when asked to remove they were not happy about it. My mother's hair has gray in it still where they added the black and it's patchy. Price went up from $70 to $150 for the "root cover-up" I still tipped them not the full amount (I will tip more on Wednesday if it all come out the way she asked or at least closer to what she wanted) I wanted but that's because if the upsetting hair color job. Rebecca said she wasn't told but I specifically told her them over the phone. I'm in front of the receptionist who she blamed for not being told I asked if they had someone else so that we could confirm what we had specifically asked for. They were very nice about it and we set up another appointment for Wednesday to fix her hair. I will update this review once Wednesday comes. UPDATE: Y'all this place is a joke. I gave her a call back told her exactly what happened and the Owner Nicole hung up on me when I asked if she was insinuating that I was lying about me asking for her roots to be covered up and my mom not communicating because she doesn't speak English (She does speak it she doesn't feel comfortable doing it so this is why I was there). The stylist Rebecca specifically asked what she wanted and said "we're doing full highlights and cut?" I told her, "yes full highlights grey cover-up I know it will cost more but that's fine." haircut not sure and then showed her a picture my mom showed me...she did not get that. Rebecca comes back out and she says "she doesn't like it" My mother is not picky. So I go and see and all she got was highlights her hair was still showing all her grey. So I look at Rebecca and say " well her grey is still showing?" And she responds with she didn't tell me. I told her. They go back and add color to cover her grey and I am told she can go home with a cap and rinse herself. I say no because this has already been a bad experience and that this needs to get done here so we can see if it is done well and they get visibly upset at my response. They take my mom to rinse and she comes out with obvious black tint all over her forehead and ears and side of the cheeks. I ask for it to be removed and once again they are upset. I relay this to the Owner Nicole and she mentions how my mother doesn't SPEAK English and that this was the miscommunication and I snapped and said look I was the one letting the stylist and your receptionist know what she needed not her. She needed the grey covered and I know its extra $$ but that is fine. And I quote she said "I don't think that we are not the salon for you and hangs up". Horrible customer service, Horrible service overall. Will be posting pictures of my poor mother's hair so you can see for yourselves and choose not to go here. They legit have a no racist comments chalk board and I loved it but Microaggressions like these don't fly with me!

About a year ago, I decided to color my greying hair for the first time. Having never done color before, I researched online and found Deseo Salon. I made an appointment for a consult and met the fabulous Rachel. From the moment I chatted with her, I trusted her implicitly. She understood my concerns, my hopes, and -- most importantly -- my hair. She was one of the warmest people I had ever met and our rapport was immediate. Since that time, I have come to know more about this young, brilliant stylist. She is gracious, effervescent, gentle, and interesting. I persuaded my husband -- who hadn't been to a stylist in about six decades -- to come with me and have Rachel cut his hair. He said that he now knew what I'd been raving about for months. Beyond Rachel, the salon is wonderful. They recently moved into new and upscaled quarters. It is contemporary and sleek, yet exudes a warm welcome; it is open and bright, and yet gives a feeling of privacy in each stylist's space; it is softly-scented, evoking a mood of calm and serenity, and yet there is enough bustle and enthusiastic conversation to highlight the camaraderie between stylist and client. Deseo is eco-conscious -- a place where sustainabillity feels indulgent, not austere! Being there is a restorative experience. The front desk staff is outstanding, too. On a very personal note, I want to share two quick stories. One day I arrived at my appointment and was suddenly called to a family member's medical emergency. Despite their policy about cancelled appointments, they understood, didn't charge me, and told me to take my time and that I could rebook whenever I wished. The first time my husband accompanied me, he was offered -- as is everyone upon entering -- a beverage. He requested decaf coffee which they did not have. Yesterday, on his second visit, the lovely receptionist told him that she had ordered decaf specifically because he had asked for it on his first visit. For someone to go above and beyond based on the "need" of one customer is a sign of the caring that this salon exhibits. I cannot say enough good things about Deseo. Go here! Relax here! Enjoy here! And definitely book Rachel. When you find yourself in Rachel's chair, you know that you're in the hands of a stunning and talented professional.

My request was simple: CHUNKY balayage. CHUNKYYYY. I had pictures to show what I wanted. Mostly warm highlights with some cool sprinkled in. I also asked to add texture to my hair but keep the length (it was below my bra line). Nope... goodbye 6 inches I didn't ask to lose (now it's just below my shoulders). I had THICK voluminous hair, and now it's like I have the Rachel haircut. They foiled my hair to death and I ended up almost platinum blonde when the foils came out, and then to add insult to injury, you could clearly see the lines where the highlights began where it looks almost burnt at the edges?? We went back in for another TWO hours to make it warmer, but by that time my hair was fried, and now I have a bald spot I didn't have before. He offered to fix it in another few weeks after my hair has had time to settle, but I'm never letting anyone there touch my head again. I'm too nice of a person and still managed to crack a semi smile when it was finally done, but now I'm left with tears and silent screaming to hold back my utter horror at what they left me with. If you didn't get the memo: I don't recommend them. Even after everything, he still had the audacity to charge me $250 (discounted) and said I didn't need to leave a tip. Umm, thanks? God only knows how long this is going to take to fix... Should've gone to Fluff Bar. Thanh, you should've comp'd it and ask I not leave a bad review, which I totally would've said yes to not doing. Lesson learned? Was the juice really worth the squeeze? Looks like I'm not the only one who's had this happen to them? Ladies or gents: If you want balayage or any kind of coloring service, do NOT go here. This is NOT their specialty. Run. UPDATE: Went to a highly reviewed salon a few days after my visit with Vo where I had two pros look at my hair to assess the situation (and probability of me somehow getting what I originally wanted), and both agreed that what Vo did to my hair was "pretty bad" and unprofessional. All I heard, as they were slowly combing and lifting through my hair, were soft whispers and gasps of horror with the occasional, "Girl look at this... omg..." After hearing what they could do to fix the mess Vo left me with (weeks of painstaking piece meal work and god-knows-how-much-money) I ultimately decided to have them take me back to my original brown so I could start over from square one. THAT'S how bad it was. All that time and money just to go back to brown and have my hair be short and thin instead of long and thick. God I could scream. I appreciate you offering to fix the mess you left me with, Thanh, but no thanks. I would much rather you spend the time you would've taken on fixing my hair to spending it on some coloring courses instead. Just because you own a salon doesn't mean you've mastered the art of hair. The other guy whom you trained on the fly with me has a lot of learning to do also. I could tell he didn't know what he was doing and yet you still let him touch my hair while you juggled two other clients. Unacceptable service. On top of that, neither you or the other guy ever made small talk with me, which I've never experienced at a salon in all my life. Like, not a single word or question about my day or even my name. Even if you guys had done a great job, I still wouldn't have come back due to that alone. K I'm done. Lesson learned I hope. Best of luck to you.

    After three years of being a loyal customer at this location--and consistently arriving at least 10…read moreminutes early--I was recently marked as a no-show for an appointment. This appointment had been scheduled months in advance. When I received the 48-hour reminder text, I was in the middle of moving and in one of the busiest stretches of my work year. I immediately tried to call to cancel, but they were closed that day and there was no clear way to cancel through any other method. Because of everything going on, calling back the next day unfortunately slipped my mind. On the day of the appointment, they called me, and I apologized for missing it and explained the situation. During that conversation, it sounded like they might be able to work with me to avoid being charged for a service I didn't receive. However, a few days later I checked my bank account and saw that I had been charged the full amount. While I understand this may be their official policy, I reached out again to explain that I had attempted to cancel and had no available option to do so within the 48-hour window. What followed was a drawn-out process where I was consistently never called back in the time frame I was told and ultimately I was informed I would still be responsible for the full charge. After three years of loyalty--and even considering recommending them for my brother's upcoming wedding--this experience was extremely disappointing.
