My hairstylist, Dan, was amazing and she was soo personable and knew soo much about her trade. While she did a great job, the haircut was $140.... I got a very standard haircut (no layers, no special products, no blowout). This is waaaay overpriced for just trying to get the dead ends cut off. Boy, did I learn a lesson the hard way! I came to this salon after dropping $1000 at another for a failed color correction. After 8 months with Let Em Have It and 6 appointments between two of their stylists adding up to another $1000 dropped, they have dropped ME as a client. I asked for gray and black blending, and all I got session after session was disappointment and guarantee that the next session "we'd get there." Every time I go, I buy the product they tell me to use because that'd what will help my hair for our next appointment. My last session was a toner session where they accidentally turned my hair green. When I came back to get it fixed, the stylist said the new toner didn't work, so they had to tone again and ran out of time to finish or dry my hair. I wish I could say that was the first time I had been asked to return to the salon for them to fix their work. After I got home and saw my hair dry, I burst into tears at the damage and color. The hair we had worked so hard to lighten was now warm brown. Anyway, I sent an email asking for help, for either 50% refund on all the services I've continually paid for since I was told they would eventually get me the results we kept agreeing upon, or to have my next session in November be free of charge so they can finally once and for all fix my hair. They chose to refund me just for the services (not the product or tip) for my last visit - a whopping $130, and part ways with me. So I spent all this time being catfished into thinking these folks would finally get me the hair I so want. They promised each time, after looking at my inspo pictures, that we could achieve it, and they NEVER did. I have been SO gracious with everything, no one can deny that. I never once got sassy until now. Now my hair is damaged, short, blotchy, and brown four months before my wedding. Word of advice, don't pay if you're not satisfied. My hairstylist was very kind and great to talk to but, I received a haircut that looks nothing like I asked for. I didn't feel comfortable telling the stylist and trying talking to the manager the next day via phone call and email. I kept referring to the photos when she asked my thoughts through our session. For an expensive haircut, you'd hope for it to be somewhat the same. I called and asked for accommodations, mostly any type of refund, but they offered to cut my hair more (which would only make me farther from the product). Spoke with manager and owner, and they both said those cuts are the same as my photos. Well maybe I'm wrong but I'll let you see for yourself. This is a late review from my appointment in early February (sorry!) but I am really enjoying my super low-maintenance haircut and it's about time that I write a review! I was in Denver visiting my sister and found this eco-friendly salon online and was excited that they offered training services. As a student, I can usually just afford salons where you pick out a haircut from a book, and I really wanted a haircut that was more individualized to my face shape and style. I corresponded with the owner Fallene, and the day of my appointment, they let me know my stylist-in-training wasn't available anymore. Since I was only in Denver until the next day and couldn't reschedule, the salon honored the training service and I was able to keep my appointment, but with the stylist Uri. I really appreciated this! Uri was really friendly and an excellent stylist! I really liked that he incorporated my reference photos with my face shape to turn my longish very straight and flat hair into something more face-framing and voluminous. He did a blowout, which I know is pretty standard for salons (plus it was snowing outside), but I actually think that I love my hair even more when it air dries, and even more when I sleep on it after air drying at night. My hair looks wavy and full and I use ZERO products! I do not know how to style my own hair and am so happy to finally have hair that is low-maintenance but not boring. The salon itself is beautiful and inviting, and the staff make you feel really comfortable. All of the products used smell amazing and not overwhelming or heavily perfumed. I appreciated the infused water and french press. I definitely recommend this salon and the stylist Uri! read more

Probably the worst experience of my life. They messed up my appointment, which I showed up for(changing my entire schedule). Then got horrible comments from Leah(sp?) Who was very rude. Against better judgement I rescheduled with them.... After more issues with that, I tried to cancel after which they made it clear I was going to be charged $40 for "canceling" within 48hrs. Jenessa is amazing! She gave me a long-layered haircut that is probably one of the best cuts I've ever had. It feels so light and healthy and sleek. She was very clear during the cut about what products she was using and why. She also did an *incredible* blowout. I just moved to Denver and was so anxious about trying to find a new stylist, but it is such a relief to have found a go-to here. I moved to Denver from LA about 6 years ago, and I've gone to a few different salons here -- never quite happy with everything about them. But this is one I'm going to stick with. It's always so cozy and nice in here, with lots of warm wood colors and live plants. It's not trying to be so modern, to the point of making it cold -- but it's still very modern and clean. Plus I love that they're quick to offer me wine (or a mimosa on the weekend) -- or tea if that's your thing. The all-natural product line is great, too. It's the stuff I've really enjoyed trying out through Birchbox. Honestly, I think my favorite part is that the seats for getting your hair washed are more like beds, so you don't have to crane your hair back. It's so relaxing! As for stylists, I love Sloan. Sloan is awesome at both cuts and color -- and especially color. I trusted her to hack off most of my hair into a short hairdo, and she did a great job. And then blended pink into my hair in the most natural way I've ever seen shades of pink in my hair. She can do anything from a natural blonde balayage -- to an ombre of any color. And she's also just really great to be around, which matters if you're going to be spending 2-3 hours with someone. read more

I've had a few appointments here, one blow dry and the other was a scalp treatment. I had the luxury to have the owner for my first appointment and I'm so glad that I got to meet her. Her salon is just beatuiful! While we were chatting during the blow dry I found out that her husband (and her) were the ones behind the new coffee shop opening 2 blocks from my house, Torpedo Coffee. Love that this husband and wife duo have taken huge strives to owning and operating small businesses here in Denver. Back to the review, loved the blow dry and the scalp treatment. Scalp treatment was so worth it...really helped to strip some build up off my scalp. Felt like a million bucks! They have some amazing products and sent me home with a handful of samples! Ok first off, great location wonderful atmosphere friendly people. I have been going here about a year ever since moving to denver. The first few times I went in I was pleased with my color. I ask for pretty much the same bright tomato red every time. Carlos suggested I get just root touch ups to limit damage and price. But when I went in he completely messed up my hair. He used the wrong shade on my roots so it looked like I was bleeding from the scalp. He did try to fix it by doing an all over color the same day, better but not great. What made me mad is everyone in the salon acted like it had been my idea! Whatever mistakes happen I get that. I didn't go back for a long time and when I did I used Vanessa instead. I asked for the same thing even brought in a picture. My hair came out way more purple than I wanted. She said it would fade to the color I wanted. It didn't, it faded to a pink shade rather than a rich red. More time passed and I had an experiment with dip dyeing my hair in blue kool aid. Turned out teal but I still kinda liked it, went in to see Carlos again, he loved the teal in my hair and wanted to ad more. I said that was great but I wanted it more turquoise and red vs. orange and teal. I asked him if he would like to see a picture, he waved me off saying he remembered the picture I'd shown him months ago. I ended up looking EXACTLY the same, teal and orange. That's it I'm done. Their prices are way to high for me to keep walking out unhappy. I have attached the pictures I took in on top, what I ended up with on the bottom. Came in for my first appointment with Aspen and was so impressed with the whole experience! Not only is the salon itself so inviting (and also gorgeous with wall of plants that I am in love with), the entire staff was so professional and friendly. I felt very comfortable with Aspen discussing what we wanted to do. I felt like she understood exactly what I was going for without me even having to know the right words to say! I had my hair colored by Lia on Wednesday and she was incredible can't stop touching and looking at my hair. Very sweet and receptive, and I had a great time collaborating ideas to get to a gorgeous end result. It's a beautiful space with really lovely people. Anna was incredibly accommodating at the front desk as well, and even went out of her way to walk me out and to a coffee shop when I asked for directions. I scheduled an appointment, only to arrive and find out I had no appointment in the books. The lady at the desk said she was out on the day I scheduled and a tech was answering the phones. I blocked out half of my day because I was told I would be with Hannah who is in training and it would take a bit longer. The young lady at the desk wasn't apologetic in the slightest. I felt as though she thought it wasn't her problem. I never get my hair done and was so looking forward to "treating myself" only feel like an inconvenience to an unprofessional salon.
