New to the area and after searching high and low, laying a fortune and having some really disappointing experiences at high end salons here, I have FOUND MY PLACE! Great location, Lindsey is an amazing stylist and extremely personable. I thought I made a new BFF. My hair looked amazing, it was affordable and I can have a beer next door. Loved it and will be back. 10/10 Highly Recommend. read more

Stumbled upon this spot and it'll now be my go to salon in Denver! Great service, very knowledgeable and exactly the cut I was looking for.

It is what it is, I had a good cut but the woman cutting my hair was running behind so my hair was blown dry with not a single speck of product in it, no oil, no heat protectant, no nothing. Shampoo + cond and then blown 80% dry. I was a total frizzball and I don't think I've had my hair blown dry without heat protectant since 7th grade. My inner self was crying thinking about my poor hair. She was incredibly nice and did a good job but I could not understand not using a single drop of product. Also-if you have asthma, are sensitive to smells, or just hate cigarette smells, it's important to know that this business is in the same building as a cigar bar and the smell is absolutely overpowering. I'm sure they've tried to mitigate the smell and I'm not sure much can really be done but for many people this would be a deal breaker for an experience that is supposed to be relaxing. read more

Went in to get a big change (for me) and Amy did an incredible job! Super personable and good energy in the salon. Salon was also very clean. She completely nailed everything I asked for: bangs, dark plum color, and undercut! If I lived in Denver, I'd go to her forever. read more

I've been bouncing around trying to find a new hair stylist in Denver, and I think I've found my pick! Hanna was so personable and nice during my haircut. We had great conversation the whole time, and the cut she gave me was even better than I had wanted. My hair felt so soft and silky after the appointment, and she cut a minimal amount like I had asked. Will be returning here for my next haircut! read more

What a perfect space for two stylist. I really did like the salon. I had to stop and had a conversation, used the restroom, definitely if I was downtown again I will stop by to see Erica she was awesome! I WOULD recommend. read more

5 of the scariest words to say to someone "Can you make me blonde?" Well, I'm a blondoisseur so when I trust someone with my hair THREE times, you know they're amazing at what they do. So Monday afternoon, I think to myself, hmmm... maybe I should see if I can get in before my birthday. So I text Jodi (Jodi Grubb to be exact) and she was able to get me in the next day. Don't try this yourself, she's a rockstar so I would be sure to plan ahead. The salon is located downtown across from my favorite guilty pleasure, Biker Jims.... so super convenient no matter where you're coming from in the Denver Metro. I would recommend parking in the lot off Larimer, it's $5 for all day parking and when you go blonde, you should expect to be there for longer than the meters allow without you going out to pay with foils in your hair... I've done this a few times... Anyway, I sit down and Jodi immediately takes my jacket and offers me bottled water. They serve wine when they can... Damn Covid... She asks what we're doing today and I tell her I want to be platinum... She prepares me for the time frame we're looking at and gets to work. I was there for a long time, but it didn't feel like it. Her work flow keeps you distracted and she also lets you feel like you don't have to talk the entire time. I've really enjoyed working with her and plan to continue having her maintain my main. Thanks, Jodi! read more

Lindsey is the best here. I always love what she does with her blonde skills. Most people make me brassy and she always knocks it out of the park. She is also a hoot amd we talk like we've been friends for years, so that is always a plus when I come to see her. I had originally been to 3 people before I found her because no one could do what she does so I've finally found my person!!! HIGHLY recommended. read more

So glad I found this place! Lindsey was absolutely wonderful! She went over and above to fix my hair. I left happy and will be returning!

I found this place through Groupon and Lindsey the owner cut my hair. I was pressed for time and running late but she got the job done and it looks great. I did notice when I had my hair in two braids down the middle, that one side wasn't even, but she said I could come back and get touched up if I had any problems and I never did. I definitely plan to come back, and hopefully her previous appointment ends on time so mine can start on time. Thanks so much Lindsay for understanding my big lion main and keeping it lively and fresh, so love your energy and I'll be back soon! read more

Phenomenal customer service & great hair cut. Walked by this place the day before while on a food tour, and made a mental note to call the following day. Catchy salon name and clever marketing chalkboard out on the sidewalk are what got my attention. I hadn't had my hair cut or colored in almost a year, last 7 months due to staying indoors because of COVID. While they didn't have time to color my hair because of my last minute appointment, they did squeeze me in for a quick wash/cut/style. I had THE BEST experience with Lindsey! We talked about everything from hair, to being boy moms (oh the smells)...and even politics! Shhhh don't tell anyone. We had a grand ole time. Might just save my bad color to be fixed by Lindsey on my next trip to Denver, Co. What's another year!? read more

Just...WOW! Almost a week after my hair appointment and I am still in awe of Lindsey's talent and friendliness. I had an appointment with another hair salon close to home before I traveled to Denver, but I had to cancel it due to a family emergency. Although I was bummed to cancel, I looked into hair salons in Denver just in case I can get my hair fixed before meeting with an admissions coordinator at CU Denver. My hair was a mess (it was a gross greenish-brown color due to lockdown), and I'd feel completely embarrassed if I showed up with that hair color. Thank goodness I found Wonderlust with so many fabulous reviews AND close to the hostel I was staying at! I saw that there was an appointment open for a few hours after my flight landed, so I booked it and cheered with excitement that my hair will get a much-needed fix before checking out CU Denver. I was skeptical from the get-go initially since I didn't have a great experience when I first dyed my hair blue at another hair salon. It took a whole 6.5 hours to get it done and I vowed, never again. But at this point, I'd rather endure another 6.5 hours to get my hair fixed than to keep my gross hair color. I'm so glad my experience at Wonderlust took a lot less time. Even if it took that long, I'm sure it wouldn't be as excruciating since Lindsey was really kind and kept a conversation with me, regardless of the fact I was running on 2 hours of sleep that day! Lindsey knew what she was doing and she took care of everything effortlessly. Seriously, I was blown away. Not only did it take a quick 1.5 hours, but I LOVE my new hair. That nasty green color is now a beautiful and natural chestnut brown. It's as what she (and the other hairstylist working there that day) said-- I'm a whole new woman! :D I'm really excited to move to Denver now that I found a go-to hairstylist that will be pretty close to my new apartment. I will be recommending this place to everyone, even friends who decide to visit Denver. read more

Erica, You Crushed it! I came in because I drove by the salon every day after work and it was convenient. I got SO lucky! Erica fit the personality I wanted to work with. (You gotta genuinely love the person you're going to sit for hours with!) my hair always looks AWESOME when I leave. She makes great suggestions based off of my skin tone and face shape. She's also been doing hair for about 10 years. The salon is super clean and minimalistic with some cute plants hanging. If you're thinking about it, just go! read more

Wonderlust Salon - Great highlights! - Hair Salons Near Me - Denver, Colorado

Before I went to the Wonderlust salon, I got highlights from another establishment. It was clear that my previous stylist was not experienced with highlights because I left looking like a striped tiger that had just escaped from the zoo. Which is why I ended up at Wonderlust under the care of Lindsey. When I met Lindsey she welcomed me right in and knew exactly what I wanted. I was so scared to go so blonde but she gave me confidence and her easy going personality and assurance made me trust her right away. She went to work and the results were incredible. They were the most beautiful honey blonde highlights I have ever gotten. They blended so perfectly with the rest of my hair and brightened up my face. Several months later, they highlights are fading but they are actually fading out beautifully. I could not recommend her more. She is so much fun and so good at what she does. Don't look like a tiger.. Go see Lindsey. Yours Truly. read more

As soon as our appointment started, Lindsey asked all the right questions regarding how short I wanted to cut my hair (keeping my curls in mind so I wouldn't look like George Washington), let me show her pictures of the ombre style-purple I wanted it colored, and framed my bangs and layered the cut to my face. I've lived in Colorado for three years and almost gave up trying to find a salon that does my hair properly, until I met Lindsey. I have undoubtedly found my new hair salon; and with covid-19 going on, I'm proud to be supporting a small business that shows pride in their work and has perfected their craft. Located in the ball park district of Denver, Wonderlust Salon is the perfect place for your next cut, color, or styling with people who really make you feel your absolute best! read more

Thank you so much Lindsey for the great cut and style! I was nervous about coming in, but when I got their the team was so warm and friendly. Lindsey cut and styled my hair in a way no one has in almost 8+ years. I will definitely be going back, and already booked another appointment for 8 weeks from now. I came to Lindsey to cut off 10+ inches for donation and could not be more pleased with the experience! There was none of that awkward small talk and she made sure I was comfortable with the "big change" throughout the whole process. After a few days, there were a couple of strands that curled up weird and I was able to get in for a touch up the day-of. Bonus: the cutest shop puppy one ever did see!! read more

I just got a wonderful haircut from Bailey! She took the time to get a sense of my hair and curls, and checked with me on the length multiple times. She was knowledgeable and I watched her magically tame my curls so they were even and performing at their curly peak. The salon space was cute and comfortable. I highly recommend visiting the salon, and my only advice is to leave a message if they don't answer. I'll be back - thank you! read more

Horrible service. Did not listen to what I wanted and I was left with big chunks of blond highlights, no subtle highlights at all.

Lindsey, and one other lady in Denver, are the ONLY PEOPLE I TRUST WITH MY HAIR. Trust me when I say I've had AWFUL pixie haircuts in my past. I mean awful. When my normal gal went on maternity leave in 2020, I was stressed out finding someone new. Enter Lindsey. From the jump my pixie from Lindsey was fly as f*ck. I'm strongly considering leaving Colorado for a new state, and it will be a b*tch to find someone who can give me a precision pixie like Lindsey can. If you like wearing your hair short, Lindsey is your gal! Thank you Lindsey! read more

I moved to Denver in August, and was struggling to find a salon that would be perfect for me! I am SO glad I found Wonderlust! Lindsey did my hair today, and I am absolutely obsessed. Not only is my hair perfect, she is so much fun! I had a great experience, and can't wait to come back!! read more

I first went to Lindsey with a Groupon for full highlights as the gal that I normally go to wasn't able to get me in for a couple of months. I loved her, and the job she did on my hair. Well, it was time for highlights again so I called and Lindsey was able to get me in the next day! She does a great job on my hair, she's hilarious, and I feel so comfortable at the shop. I highly recommend Wonderlust and Lindsey. But from what I can tell, all of the others who work there are very talented. read more

Very unfortunate that the shops list of rave reviews was deleted by Yelp....trust me, they're a great salon to try out in Denver! I came here to get my hair dyed for the first time ever & was so relieved to walk in & sit down to game plan with Lindsey! Obviously everyone is a little nervous to get their hair done but not only was I advised on the best cut, color, & treatments that would fit into my lifestyle, but she also was realistic on what made sense for me & was amazing to work with! Saw other ladies & guys get done while I was there and honestly everyone pops out of the chair so excited with how well it turned out! read more

I look forward to seeing her again as my hair grows out on this journey. Thank you so much! You made my day brighter and it's so appreciated. See you soon!! read more

I had received a referral from one of my good friends to work with Lindsey for my wedding bridal hair. I had texted her back in March, introducing myself, as well as reached out via phone. We had a good conversation, talked about what I wanted and the details of the wedding. I explained that we were doing a SUNRISE elopement in Breckenridge, CO and would need her services very early in the morning (ex: 2:30-3:30AM). We discussed it further and ultimately she agreed that I could count on her. I asked if I needed to pay a deposit or complete a contract, to which she said, "I typically don't require one, I have never had anyone flake on me. If you want one so that you feel more comfortable I can certainly do that!" Being that she was a referral, and this was standard for her using the honor system - I did not do a contract. We both agreed that everything sounded great and we would touchbase over the summer to work on a trial. She quoted me a travel fee of $150 to Breck, $115 for wedding hair, including a trial and Bridesmaid updo's were $75 and blowouts $55. We caught back up in July and decided to do a trial at the end of the month. I started talking about the plans for the wedding (which she already knew) -- and she acted completely caught off guard and uninterested. She then stated, "Well I committed to it, so I guess I will just have to make it work." Not exactly music to my ears. The trial went well, it did seem like it was hurried, but it went well. We talked about adjusting things and I tipped her $20. I did leave a little worried by her comments, and honestly worried that she would flake on me due to her disinterest. Due to my concerns, I decided to send a joint text to my makeup artist friend and Lindsey today - one month out from the wedding. I texted stating the information of the location, the timing of when we would need to get ready (2:30am-3:30am), the lodging I had arranged for them, as well as there would be food the night before, in addition to the morning of. The response I received from Lindsey: "Excuse me what????" followed by, "Breckenridge first of all and second I don't know these people." I proceeded to let Lindsey know I was worried about this based on her comments and demeanor previously and screenshotted a text message of her quoting me a travel fee, as well as discussing staying up at our Airbnb." Lindsey replied back stating she would be there, however, based on her rude comments and clear lack of interest - I did not want to risk her not showing or causing yet another issue regarding information she did not remember. I do not recommend her and would be very cautious engaging in business with her. She is forgetful, very unorganized and extremely unprofessional. read more
