The decor of the place is beautiful, all the stylists are friendly and welcoming, and it is clear they are all well versed in their crafts. I even got my first manicure and pedicure here and it was wonderful. The location is great as well, as being on Broadway allows you to grab a nice bite to eat afterwards or even go visit some shops after you've been pampered up. I booked an emergency appointment because my hair had been ruined by a previous salon I went to. Needless to say I desperately needed a color correction. I didn't want to walk around any longer with washed out dark green hair. Yeah, it was that bad! I booked via Vagaro with Tera. She is a hair guru especially with her 13 years backing her up. She definitely knows what she's talking about. She recommend I go blonde because my hair had turned into a weird ashy color. She knew exactly what I was thinking as I had been wanting a beautiful silver/blonde color for ages but these days it's hard to find the correct stylist that just nails it and Tera is one of them. Her bubbly personality and honesty are what make me want to return. What made the appointment even better was that she showed and explained to me how to get the modern day curls. She also mentioned how dry my hair was and gave me the recommended shampoo in order to bring it some more life since having your ends dry is something no women wants. She went in asking to have her hair dyed grey with separated layers and left with a butchered hair cut and brown blotchy highlights. The hairstylist tried to give a "grey balayage" and gave her something completely different. The whole service was $220 and she did not receive anything she asked for. THEN, he told her he would fix it on Sunday, my friend showed up on Sunday and the salon was closed. He completely stood her up, took no accountability for his horrible work on her hair. I love Adorn! From the second you walk into the salon you are greeted with a friendly smile and a beverage of your choice. (White wine is mine) The hair salon is up front, and the nails are in a separated room to the left, as well as the private waxing area. I can only speak for the nail and eyebrow wax services, I haven't gotten this mop fixed yet. Originally I was referred to this salon from a friend, but now I have been referring others for few months now. Let me start out by saying, I get daily compliments on my nails from random people I come in contact with. This is amazing to me because in my whole life I have been a nail biter and now I have the fastest growing nails. I am very thankful to have a wonderful nail technician like Melisa to help keep them shaped and looking their best. I am always quick to refer Melisa Gray, she does shellac & acrylic manicures (shellac is my favorite). She does great nail art and rock star nails (glitter!) Melisa is very sweet, creative and does a quick job at a very high quality. This isn't like any other salon I have been to, they become more like friends. I continue to make my 2-3 week appointments and don't plan on changing that anytime soon. I have also had the pleasure of getting my eyebrows waxed by one of the owners, Charelle. She did a great job! She really listened to my request and it didn't hurt at all. The wax was a good temperature and the redness didn't stay for too long. I really had high hopes and was excited to check this place out. Sadly, I was disappointed. The lady at the desk was very RUDE. She barely greeted me and then went to the back room. My appointment was booked over another guests time. The girl getting her highlights had to have her service paused so I could get my bangs trimmed. (Kinda lame). The stylist was very nice but the whole thing was rushed. And my bangs look just as bad 2 weeks out as they did before I got them cut. Overall a very disappointing experience. It's so hard finding a great stylist and I hope she never leaves. Horrifying and expensive experience with Tera. I wanted a moderate color change--from strawberry blonde to dark blonde--so I spent 5 hours researching and talking with hair colorists. Adorn instructed me to book the max time slot--full color, highlight & blowdry--which was 2 weeks out. I did, and rearranged my professional commitments for this appointment, which I was excited about. I couldn't find parking where I'd been directed, but I paid for street parking and arrived 10 minutes early. I was offered water and a glass of wine (thanks!), but was not notified that the hairdresser was running 30 minutes late. 15 minutes after my appointment time, she introduced herself and let me know that she was quite behind, which I would have found courteous and helpful to learn about earlier, since I could have spent the time attending to important matters at my office. When she was ready, she explained that her aunt--who was always running late--had popped in for hair color. I should have left then. I (again) explained the color change that I wanted (with 4 pictures). Tera got huffy--citing that I was only scheduled for highlights (I double-checked later, and she was wrong)--and patronizingly explained that I needed to reschedule for a 7 hour time slot. I replied that this wouldn't be possible, and that I'd scheduled exactly as directed. Trying to smooth things over and recoup the lost time, I asked if we could make a little progress today, and promised to reschedule in 2 weeks to continue toward the look that I wanted. She indicated an understanding and backed off, but continued making passive-aggressive comments about how it wasn't going to be perfect. During application of the hair color, she worked me between two other clients, essentially expecting me to accommodate their schedules. Fast forward to rinse-out: a thick streak in front was punk/silvery grey, while the top part of my long hair was dark brunette, and the bottom 6" was light blonde. She explained that 'ombre' is the trend (I had not asked for this), and said that she didn't want to stay until 9pm (it was then 8pm) and charged me $300, citing: 3 hours of her time, even though she'd spent 2.5 from hello to goodbye, and mostly with 2 other clients That she was charging me for "color correction" in advance, which she would do at the next visit, but then stated that she had to schedule that next visit in 2 months time I added a standard 20% tip, making the total $360 (I automatically tip at least 20% for all services, grocery delivery, etc., although this experience has me re-thinking this practice). She was rushing me out the door, and I didn't ask about the billing or why the pre-paid appointment had to be so far in the future. I didn't get the chance to voice my dissatisfaction, or ask why I had to pay for the next appointment 2 months ahead of time, and why I paid a premium for a color correction service when she actually just dyed the top and bottom two different colors. It was quite confusing, but now I see that she was rushing me out the door before I could react. I got into my car and sobbed. When I got home, I noticed that the gorgeous floral dress that I'd worn was ruined with large smears and splatters of black hair dye on the side, and the skin on my forehead and a wrist were also stained. I washed my hair repeatedly: the grey streak is mostly gone and the darkness has maybe lifted a bit, but the bleached blonde streak that remains still looks like Cruella Deville from the 100 Dalmations, and the ombre color scheme looks mullet-like. First thing the next morning, I called to see what ways the salon could help to soften the look, collaborate on a re-do, or refund the $360. Tera promptly called back, and aggressively told me that she would contort her schedule for the next day to apply an all-over brunette color, but that's all she'd do for me. She alleged that I'd "ruined my hair" by washing it after the horrific color job, and again berated me for expecting a miracle when I'd only scheduled enough time for highlights (again: her story does not cohere with the emailed confirmations about the services that I'd scheduled in advance). Being turned off by her unwillingness to make it right--plus the fact that I'd paid for the next appointment in advance--I asked for a refund. She refused, told me not to come back in, and hung up. The disrespectful treatment that I received has been jarring. Realizing that hairdressing is an art, and that sometimes things don't go as planned, I'm angry about the unprofessional way that Tera handled this. She could have simply said "I'm sorry that it's not what you expected: I goofed, but it's important for me to make this right". I am humiliated at the way that I look, and I don't know how to go about fixing my hair. I work in a demanding but conservative environment with other doctorate-level professionals, and it's difficult to take the time away that'll be required to fix this during the work week. read more

This is the first salon I've been to since moving to Denver. And call it beginner's luck, or call it asking the right person, but it's fantastic, mostly because of Lauren who works there and also because of the drinks offered while you wait. I'm a sucker for a mimosa on a Saturday morning. One of my friends had this great haircut, and I asked her where she went and who she saw. I used her recommendation for when my Mom visited, and got her a short haircut. Lauren did a wonderful job, and my Mom looked years younger when she walked out of there. So I opted to start going to Lauren too. Highly recommend her, she does a great job - she listens to what you want, but she also offers her expertise and personalized recommendation for you. She's also very easy to get along with, so it's not going to be one of those awkward experiences people sometimes have at salons where there's nothing to talk about. Being new to Denver I visited Adorn because of the Yelp reviews that I had seen. It wasn't the worst experience, but it wasn't the best either. I appreciate that they prefer to use their own soaking tub without jets to ensure that the station remains sterile (or at least I think that's why they do this), but the product they use actually stained my feet blue. In addition to this, the heels of my feet were touched but they still aren't smooth, there doesn't appear to be any change from when I came in, and I believe a better tool could have been used. I also had to remind my nail technician that she didn't scrub one of my feet to remove dry skin, etc. before she started the paraffin treatment. She did a nice job on the polish and was pleasant, but I'm not sure I would return or recommend to someone else if they asked. read more

I just moved here from Arizona where I get facials and micro every month. Based on the reviews I gave this place a try. My face is burned!!!! I told the girl that I have sensitive skin and not to use any lite chemical peels on my face or anything harsh. Some of the products must have been alcohol based because the toner she used burned! I woke up this morning to scaring and burns on my cheeks! Needless to say I would not go to this place or recommend them. I live close to this salon, and that's what originally drew me in, but now I'm staying for several other reasons. First, the vibe of this place is just great. I walked in and was instantly at ease. I was greeting promptly, offered a beverage of my choice (wine!), and waited on the comfortable couches in the middle of the salon. The place is filled with people, but everything is very relaxed. Definitely a nice retreat from everyday life. Second, the staff is friendly and competent. Since I moved from Tucson, I've been looking for a new stylist and I've been to several different places on this quest. I think I've found it in Erin. She did a great job with my haircut, and I felt at ease talking to her. I also appreciated that she was helpful and informative about products, etc., but I never got the sense that she was trying to upsell me. I've had a pedicure here before as well, and I loved how sanitary the salon was. All in all, Adorn is a winner and I'm sure to be back! read more

Today was my second time at adorn SPA. Not counting the grand opening party few weeks ago that was very nice! I do a Facial Treatment there (Microdermabrassion) and I am very satisfied with everything. I go to Charelle and she is so nice and it is very relaxing also if the treatment itself can be painful. Charelle knows what she is doing and I trust her. I cannot say anything about the skills of her co-workers, but I do know that also Marc is very friendly. I cannot support the other review that said there is no customer service. When you enter the salon you are welcomed, they offer you something to drink and take care of you until you close the door behind you. Great experience with Rayna. I'd been looking for a place to get in at the last minute on a Saturday and Adorn came up. I'm not tied to a particular salon as I don't plan ahead well, but I've been to Luxe and 3rd Ave Salon (now Simply More) and had good experiences there, so was hoping for equally positive results at Adorn. It's a nice little salon in a cute spot. Rayna was great with interpreting my confusing, non-specific hair requests ("just make it look good and don't cut too much off") and did a lovely job on the cut, color, and style. I'm not sure whether she did balayage or just straight-up highlights but in any case it looks great, which is just what I needed since my last color job about 8 months ago. If memory serves, Rayna was also a bit less than the same services at other salons I've visited, but same level of quality. I'd love to come back and have Rayna do something a bit more flashy when I'm ready to commit to upkeep. read more

Right before starting here I chopped all my hair off, so going from crazy long hair to a short bob was an adjustment. Lauren was amazing though and knows just how to cut the short style so that it doesn't feel blocky or thick at the bottom. As it grows things can go south but it has maintained a great shape. Plus I love love love that they offer free clean ups in-between cuts. It is a huge life and penny saver to stop in a few weeks out to trim the back and keep it looking good. I hate to leave "meh" reviews, I really do and it looks like I haven't had much luck with nail salons recently either. For those who don't like long reviews I'll TLDR; this for you. TLDR; The nail artist bragged about how she could do any nail art so I should buy it from her instead of just getting a fill now and art, from the recommended person, later. I believed her. She couldn't do the nail art I wanted, wound up doing a "meh" job on my second choice and then the nails STARTED CHIPPING 1 DAY LATER (it's acrylic and gel and I'm a typist, this shouldn't be chipping that fast). To begin with, I arrived at the salon about 15 minutes late since I couldn't find the place (GPS was being a jerk). I know this throws people off, especially if they have customers after me, but I figured since I was getting nail art later and just a fill this wouldn't dent too much time. At least not enough to warrent the reaction once the technician came out. I didn't so much get a "high person whose here for the first time, nice to meet you, we're a little time crunched because you're late so try not to do that again" kind of thing as I got a, "You're late! That's incredibly inconsiderate and we have a person directly after you and the 15 minutes you were late was the time we needed for YOUR art! Just so you know, because you're late we won't be able to do your nail treatment." It was just a really rushed a horribly abrasive response. I immediately apologized, feeling horribly guilty and offered to reschedule my appointment if it really was that much of an inconvenience. I said I would rather have a good job than a rushed job since apparently I was putting out all the other customers and her (which I felt TERRIBLE about). She immediately brushed off my concerns and went, "no, no, it's not THAT big a deal we can do it. Don't worry about it blah blah, we'll try to get your art done." I told her I wasn't getting art since I was going to wait for the expert (Melissa, I think) to do it on another day. Instantly the abrasiveness returned and it became a "anything she can do I can do better" bragging kind of thing. Though I didn't want her to do my art and wanted the recommended person I tried to refuse again. I was again meant with hostility and the fact that I was late was brought up YET AGAIN. At this point I'm feeling super anxious and flustered and just want to leave. She pushes me again for her to do art and I reluctantly agree, just not wanting to deal with it. She starts on my fill and immediately complains that my nails are too thick and we won't have enough time because my nails are too thick (they were, I didn't like them). She has trouble thinning them out (never seen that problem before) and is a little upset about the work, but I say it's fine (it is, I just want to leave). We do have some pleasant conversation and I relax a bit. Her other client is also late (fortunate) and I think if she's as quick as she says she is (15 min for complex art, that's some skill) that the glitter and single heart I want won't be a big deal. Not only does it become a big deal, but it takes her over 20 minutes. She also can't redo any mistakes and sends me out the door with a heart that looks like a crooked blob (the other looks fine) and nails that had super thin patches on them (surprise, this is where they chipped a day later). Even if I had arrived on time, considering that the crappy art alone took over 20 minutes, she wouldn't have had time to complete my nails, so I felt yelled at for no reason and blamed for poor scheduling. At the end of my trip, though she and I had some nice talks during the fill, I felt bullied into getting what I absolutely didn't want. I wanted a regular fill and to get the art later. I was pushed into paying for shitty art I didn't want and a rushed fill and then blamed for it because I was so, impossibly late and inconsiderate (if nail art takes you 20-30 minutes to do a shitty job, and you only scheduled 15 minutes for the art that's not a customer problem, that's a you problem). Oh and the cost! I almost forgot, let me break it down: 1. Fill 2. Glitter on two fingers 3. Heart on one finger 4. Blob on another finger 5. Tip 6. Gel polish that chipped one day later and is still chipping and now, less than a week after the fill, looks horrific Total: 65 dollars Yup...65 dollars for all of that bullshit. I would never, ever come back here again. This whole experience was expensive and terrible and definitely NOT WORTH IT. read more

I go to Adrienne for my hair, and will continue to do so while I live in Denver. She's transformed my hair twice and both times she knocked it out of the park. All I have to do is show her an idea of what I want and she makes it happen, and makes it look awesome. I've gone blonder, and now a gorgeous and fun purple color, with great haircuts and styles as well. Love that I can get my roots done between highlight appointments for a great price (esp since my grays grow in so fast). Both times I've had my hair colored, I get so many compliments. He didn't give me exactly what I wanted, so this time when I went in I was specific in what I wanted. I showed him a picture and told him I wanted an A line bob. After giving him 2 tries (I went back the next day to have him fix it), I gave up and called Jill Ann at Adorn to see if she could fix it. I showed her the picture and she said of course she could do it and SHE DID!!! She did an amazing job. My old stylist said what I wanted was so '90s. She made me look fresh and now!
