*See uploaded pictures. I am really sad to give Flaunt Salon and Michael this rating. It was my 4th time since September - my 3rd time back was to fix a color mishap (that turned red) and unevenness from my 2nd appointment that was only one week prior. During my 4th appointment over one week ago, I was really excited to have Michael add in some blonde balayage before I went on vacation. He suggested darkening my roots to a very dark brown (I am naturally a light to medium mousey brown) in order to add more blonde balayage and also blend in with my already platinum blonde ends. I asked to go a few shades lighter than he suggested (thank god). I also asked to please not add any red tones. Almost 3 hours later my roots were incredibly dark, my forehead and ears were stained with dark dye, and my hair was blotchy with harsh lines and red tones. I pointed this out to Michael but he said it was supposed to look that way and would change depending on how I styled it. Unfortunately, I was in a rush to get out of the salon and just said OK and paid. After looking at it more closely at home, I noticed how blotchy, unblended and red/brassy it was. It looked like harsh copper tiger stripes that started in the most random places. (Please note, balayage is supposed to be a soft painting technique that gives less noticeable regrowth lines to create a natural look.) My hair was completely blotched and looked nothing like a blonde balayage. It is heartbreaking and disappointing to pay $100+ for hair that turns out embarrassing and further damages your hair. Again, I was leaving for vacation a few days later so you can imagine the panic I was in. I immediately called around to well-recommended salons in the Denver area and decided to not have Michael or anyone at Flaunt Salon correct my hair color. I figured I would call it a loss and bring my business elsewhere. I am devastated at how damaged my hair now is and couldn't stand not sharing my experience on Yelp.

I found this place after I moved down town. I would pass it every day on my way to work. It has such a cute façade! And the inside is great as well! They have giant mirrors that lean against the wall, and they use old refurbished dressers to store their stuff. Definitely neat! It is a wonderful salon! There are a number of great hairdressers there, but I love Dorian! I hate to give up my secret, so don't go taking my time spot! He's great! He doesn't harass me about not putting product in my hair (I'm way too lazy to make that happen every morning!), and he makes me look fabulous! They also have massage, waxing, and maybe a nail tech! It's always hopping and they are always having fun! It's not too far from the hussle and bussle but far enough that you can actually get a parking spot if you needed to!

Went in and got a haircut by Tasha. I showed her the pictures... she then started cutting. Not one moment while cutting did she say she was going to add layers! She completely went rouge and had me faced away from the mirror the wholThe layers she gave me are all choppy and super short in some areas and long on the other side. It's a complete mess. It wasn't until the end that she said that she added layers so " I would have more to do with it." The whole point of the short haircut I wanted was so I didn't have to do anything with it. I have super thick hair so short layers make my hair look super poofy. The haircut I wanted had no layers whatsoever. I had to spend over 50 on products and clips in order to make hair not look gross and poofy. Even had to buy a straightener which I haven't used in over 8 years. Not only did I get the worse haircut of my life but now my hair is going to get damaged. I even had to correct her at the end because the back was so uneven compared to the front it would look like I had a mullet if I tucked the front hair behind my ears. The moment I got home I curled up and cried then washed out her styling which was horrible and really saw what a horrid mess my hair is. Being bald would be better. She ruined my hair with layers and ruined my life.

Worst shellac manicure ever. So not worth $40

Andrew (the owner) worked his magic and in one visit transformed it into the rose gold blonde I had originally wanted.

The esthetician was friendly, boisterous, loud and immediately jumped into performing the service without instructions or warnings. She did a good job applying the under eye patches, tints, etc. When it was time to take the tint off she dug cotton balls into my eyes - way deeper than was necessary and without care - that toxic dye got in my eyes and it was SO painful. She washed my eyes out with saline like 6 times because I demanded it but they still stung. She never apologized - just "yep, it stings don't it", like I was some sort of torture subject. I don't think she was properly trained! I have had my brows and lashes tinted dozens of times in other salons and sure there is a little sting but the esthetitian knows how to carefully remove the dye so that the sting is minimal and she is compassionate and thorough with the saline. I don't think this woman got all the dye out because my eyes still stung for the rest of the day and into the night, extra dry, red on the inside of the eyelid... 3 days later my eyes are still recovering. Google says the dyes are not FDA approved and can cause serious damage to the eyes - I was freaking out. The place is cute but I would NEVER go here again.

I was offered a complimentary drink there even though I was just waiting for my girlfriend and felt welcomed. I would highly recommend coming here for your beauty needs!

I am writing to share my experience following a service appointment at this location. I received a…read moremale Brazilian and full butt wax yesterday, and my esthetician was Reagan. The service itself was performed well, and I was satisfied with the quality of the wax. However, the subsequent events have caused significant disappointment and lead me to strongly advise caution to other male clients. The day after my service, I was unexpectedly contacted by the manager and informed that I was banned from the establishment due to an "inappropriate conversation" with the esthetician. This notification was perplexing, as the conversation in question was initiated by the esthetician's small talk. During the service, Reagan asked about my weekend plans. When I initially mentioned that the plans were personal, she indicated that was acceptable. I then shared that my wife and I planned to visit The Scarlet Ranch, a known lifestyle club. As my wife and I are open about our lifestyle, I was willing to engage in general, surface-level discussion. Reagan continued to actively participate, asking multiple follow-up questions about the club's atmosphere, membership fees, types of events, and clientele. I was careful to keep my responses strictly professional and non-sexual, focusing on logistical and social aspects. At no point during this sustained conversation did the esthetician indicate that she felt uncomfortable or ask to change the subject. Therefore, receiving a call informing me I was banned--and being told by the manager that the conversation was "inappropriate to have while getting a male Brazilian"--was a significant surprise. It seems highly unprofessional to ban a paying customer without the service provider communicating any discomfort during the interaction. Feedback on Communication and Professionalism: For the management and staff: Professional protocol dictates that if a client's conversation makes a staff member uncomfortable, the staff member must clearly and politely redirect or end the topic of conversation. Customers cannot be expected to know a provider's boundaries, especially when the provider is actively engaging and asking follow-up questions. A simple, "I prefer to keep our conversation limited to the service," would have been sufficient and professional. This lack of professional communication has resulted in the loss of a repeat client and has created an unnecessarily unpleasant experience. I urge management to review their policies on staff interaction and boundary setting. Recommendation for Male Clients: Due to this experience, I do not recommend this establishment for males seeking a Brazilian wax. While the technique was good, the overall lack of staff maturity and professionalism in handling client conversations is concerning. Prospective clients might consider alternatives like European Wax Center for a lower-cost option. I hope this feedback leads to better communication practices so that other clients do not feel targeted or confused in the future.
