Respectfully, in all my life of getting haircuts, I have never felt disappointed, angry or sad leaving a salon. It's a place that is usually safe and trusted - because our hair holds a lot of weight with our confidence. But that is exactly how I left today. I asked for a trim and curtain bangs and I left with hair a few inches shorter, looking like Dwight Schrute. A week before a major work event in CA. My bangs are awful and not at all curtained, not to mention so short I cannot even tuck them behind my ears. My hair is noticeably thinner because she put in too many layers - even though I advised I only do a FEW strategic layers due to thinner hair. And shorter by a few inches when I only asked for a trim (and note I did NOT have several inches worth of unhealthy hair). Bawling in a salon because you were not listened to is a horrifying experience. Will never return. And the offer to try and fix it? I wouldn't let anyone there near my hair with anything sharp (or dull for that matter) ever again. PLEASE think about what you do before you do it. Listening is free 99. I saw Adrianna for a cut and highlights and she was fantastic. She really listened to what I wanted and made thoughtful suggestions based on my hair type and style. The color turned out beautiful, bright, dimensional, and natural-looking, and she blended my greys perfectly. The cut has been super easy to style. I'm pretty disappointed in my time spent here. I don't ever leave negative reviews but I thought it could help the next person. I came in for a color correction and I texted the hairstylist, Ryann, prior to coming showing her exactly what I wanted. Then when I came in I showed her again this is what I want. It was no achieved. I told her this isn't what I wanted so she schedule an appt for me to come back. Thinking maybe what I'm asking for is unachievable, I decided hey I'll switch it up and make it easier. I left with SPOTS in my hair and lines EVERYWHERE. Like how could you let someone walk out of the salon like this??????? I'm just so upset because I paid almost $600 for this entire process and it was complete crap. I went to another salon 5 min after this appt and she fixed it in 3 hours and gave me EXACTLY what I wanted. I texted the hairstylist Ryann and asked for a refund for this job and she refused to give me a refund and said she gave me exactly what I wanted and has witnesses. Hate to leave a bad review since I've gotten a good haircut by Shane before, but I was so disappointed with my recent haircut by Lindsey. My bangs were too heavy, and my haircut ended up having a little "tail" from cutting too many layers. It's especially upsetting since I have upcoming trips where I now won't feel my best due to my haircut. Since I didn't have time to go back here for it to be fixed, I ended up going to a salon closer to me and she was able to salvage it - but I'm still not happy. The hairstylist confirmed that too much hair was taken for my bangs and that my hair was uneven. Again, nothing bad to say about the salon or other stylists, just maybe avoid Lindsey if you want bangs and/or have wavy thick hair. read more

My hair got butchered here, . No lube either - she ( Ryan ) chopped my hair dry and never even refined it after washing. My hair has shelves and they start as short as my ear. The only solution now is to chop it all jaw length short. I regret paying a single dollar. $75 lost.. to someone completely unsympathetic and quite frankly careless at their customers satisfaction. Every time I get a glimpse of my hair or run my fingers through the jagged layers - I feel more angry. Huge mistake. read more

I've been seeing Natalie for a couple years now and she's the best stylist I've ever seen. If you're looking for a short haircut, go see her. I have never had a stylist before her give me a short cut I've actually loved! She also did a beautiful job styling hair for my friend's wedding, which is how I was introduced to her. The salon overall is clean and well-maintained. At present, masks must be worn, the number of people in the salon at one time are limited, and all must wait outside until their appointment time/their stylist is ready. Hand sanitizer and a temperature check are administered upon entry, and a questionnaire is sent out prior to the appointment to ensure an individual is symptom free and has had no potential exposure. Employees are provided with adequate PPE. In the couple appointments I've had during COVID measures, I've always felt safe. read more

I was so nice to the stylist, actually way too nice for the trauma that she put me through. The owner has the audacity to make up lies to make herself look better. She texted my mom in a very hostile manner which is completely unprofessional. I am so happy to never have to return to the salon. It takes a lot for me to leave a bad review but after my terrible experience I wanted to share what happened- I made an appointment w\ Molly for a toner to be put on my hair. When I got there she had asked if she she could touch up my blonde streak I have that frames my face. I told her I was very picky as it was a very white blonde and asked her twice if she could match the new blonde to my existing white blonde. She promised me that it would match it perfectly and that there would be no gold since the previous blonde had no gold in it.. I decided to trust her because she reassured me she knew what she was doing. After she put the bleach on my hair and washed it out I was devasted to see that it was completely gold and yellow. My roots were a completely different color than my existing blonde. It looked terrible. I told her this is exactly what I didn't want... She then reassured me she would bleach it again and this time she would get it to match. After being there almost 5 hours, when she washed out the bleach for a 2nd time.. it was exactly the same. Very very gold roots that did not match my previous blonde. I was heart broken as I put my trust in her. I couldn't believe it.. She started trying to blame my hair saying it wasn't her but it was my hair?? I found that extremely unprofessional as I've gotten my hair bleached and it was able to lift to platinum.. I have very ashy light brown which makes it a very easy canvas for bleaching.. At this point I was crying.. She had washed my hair 4 times w\ 3 failed attempts and now my scalp was starting to hurt and the toner she put on was already fading. I asked for a dark brown toner to cancel out some of the red in my hair. It still looked red even after she put the toner on. At this point I just wanted to leave because I no longer could trust her as a hair dresser.. The owner of the spa made me feel very uncomfortable as she just stared during this whole process and said nothing to me to make me feel better when all of the hair dressers saw what was happening and saw Molly absolutely ruining my blonde front streaks which I had to go get color corrected. It was so embarrassing. Just an over very traumatizing experience from someone who said they could do the job. read more

I have gone to probably half the salons in Denver, and truly I'm not sure I ever had a good haircut or color until MollyAnn at Revolver Salon. She did both balayage and a cut, and she even taught me an absolutely fool-proof method for styling it. I know this sounds like an exaggeration, but this haircut and color have kinda changed my life. I'm going to be completely transparent fully knowing that what I say may be disputed by other clients or the salon, but this is my experience and my honest opinion. This is also my first review ever and I've never felt the need to write a negative review about anywhere in the past. I have never left a hair salon unhappy with a haircut in my life--until my haircut today at Revolver Salon. I came in for an asymmetrical lob. I brought a picture reference, fully understanding and communicating to my stylist that my hair type is, in fact, fine, and that I expect tweaks with my picture reference with respect to my hair type. This is no surprise, but what was a surprise was the fact that I walked out of the salon with a haircut that brought me to tears upon exiting, and I am stuck with a cut that I absolutely did not expect nor request and I cannot have fixed due to it being too short. I am non-confrontational, and find it very difficult and traumatizing to express my qualms when it comes to an artist's work while they are working out of respect and timidness. However, in the past, every stylist that I have encountered (outside of this salon) has ensured to ask for/evoke my opinion during the cutting process, making it easy for me to adjust things to my liking (ex, "is this length good or shall we go shorter?" etc). I feel as if caring about your client's opinion and checking in with them throughout the process is a bare minimum expectation from a hair stylist. My stylist at Revolver, however, did not check in with me once during the cut until after my hair was completely finished and styled. The entire haircut was rushed. My haircut was finished in approximately half an hour, even despite the fact that my stylist contacted me and asked me to come 15 minutes earlier than my appointment time in order to "have extra time for my appointment." I have had my hair dry-cut in the past numerous times in nearly double the time that my cut was at Revolver, and I do not mean that as a compliment. My stylist was bumping my head with the hair dryer diffuser part nonstop while blow-drying, in addition to ripping at my hair with the round brush. There is an obvious difference between an experienced stylist who is efficient in cutting/styling as opposed to a stylist who is clearly wanting me out the door as soon as possible for her next appointment or whatever it may have been. The haircut that I received was much shorter than I requested, and hardly asymmetrical like I wanted. I felt like I got a standard short bob rather than a lob and my self-esteem has tanked. I felt ignored and rushed by my stylist, and the top it all off, I have never had a more expensive haircut, especially given that I did not receive a wash prior and felt like I got half the service I expect (I do understand possible covid restrictions if this is the case, however) I felt the little money I have for leisure activities literally go down the drain and I'm just heartbroken. I'm literally just so sad and I feel disgusting. I gave two stars because my stylist did have a pleasant attitude going into my appointment, and the salon itself was beautiful and clean. read more

I got my hair done here on August 7. Natalie did an incredible job on my hair! Before my hair was platinum with a ton of yellow undertones. I wanted to go super silver with an ashy dark brown root. She did just that. My hair has so much dimension and I get compliments everywhere I go. I will definitely be returning to Revolver. read more

I had my first cut with Sarah recently and was thrilled with the results. I was sad/nervous to leave my former stylist, but prices had steeply jumped with him recently. Sarah was fun to talk to, efficient and charged very reasonable prices for a cut and partial highlight. I left with a refreshing, healthy looking cut, and some subtle blonde highlights which is exactly what I asked for. Sarah also gave me some advice on how to air dry my hair while preserving some natural wave and steered me towards a great product to try. Salon was clean and comfortable and they conveniently have parking available in the garage (entrance on Steele St). Will definitely be back again! read more

I have found my new salon AND my new stylist at this Salon! Let me just say they are very cognizant of COVID 19 measures and was very clean. The salon is cute, the products are high end and everyone is in a good mood to work there! These guys and gals KNOW color and style and Susan is now my go-to gal. She is amazing! I had a disaster of a haircut and experience at BeautyKit in Denver. I had caramel, light chestnut brown, with bayalage that grew out. I wanted a trim and to take out the brasiness of the blonde. Well, that person BUTCHERED my hair by cutting it too short and dying my hair completely black. I had to change makeup, put dark pencil in my eyebrows and couldn't wear certain outfits because I looked so pale. The first two pictures are what it looked like before going to Revolver and Susan. I called the salon after a friend recommended it, in tears explaining the situation. They booked me with Susan several days later, suggesting a color reversal and I couldn't be happier. The second two photos are what she did to lighten and get me back close my natural hair color. Prior to my appointment, she contacted me, asking very thorough questions about my hair type, what I was looking for and if this harsh dye was softening. She even helped me with more movement and body on my hair, even though she knew she couldn't do anything about the length. Susan also made additional recommendations of what would be good for my skin tone-as she realized that I looked and felt pale prior to her coloring. She really cares about her work is extremely knowledgeable about products and a kind person, making you feel extremely relaxed. Susan, I appreciate you and your work on my hair. I was a bit leery of having a salon appointment during a waning pandemic but, couldn't have felt safer or more comfortable at revolver. Employees are open about Vaccination status (I think everyone is), masks are required, temperature checks for everyone who enters and surfaces are frequently disinfected. Molly Ann was incredibly attentive, sweet and detail oriented. She listened and shared suggestions and I left the salon with hair that I love, thanks to her. I saw Charity for a haircut about 2 weeks ago. Annnnnnd....we cut of 4 inches!! It was nasty dry hair and it needed to be cut. However, having that much hair cut off was shocking, I absolutely love it! I have gotten several compliments on my hair. It feels so much better, and looks amazing. I'm not someone that can pull off short hair (mine is still pretty long) but, Charity knew exactly where to cut it. It's perfect. My bangs, the length, the layers... PERFECT! After having my hair butchered at the suburbs, I decided to really research short hair salon and found Revolver. I booked an appointment with Kitty (the owner) and had an actual dialog of what I hated, what I was open to, and walked out of there almost in tears from happiness. Not only did Kitty salvage the length, which I had no idea she could do. She did something I have only had done once in my life, by a stylist I LOVED until the day she moved across country (I even traveled to see her when I could) which is, as I explain it in layman terms, it's like a tiny undercut of the sideburns, but what that does for me, it allows for the side growth in between cuts, without it looking super funky, and for my hair, nothing controls that weird growth. The fact she did this, without even knowing my hair (this was my first visit), but her expertise makes me want to go back to shorter hair, because the reason I grew it out was that side burn crap that I get... I will absolutely be back for some color next month!! I will post pictures of the new cut & color - cause right now color is total natural - which is brown with WTF grey sprouts and I'm not feeling super photogenic, although my hair looks AMAZING.. The salon was cute and clean and my stylist was friendly but just make sure you know before booking an appointment here that the prices on their website are just the base price even though it doesn't state that. Maybe I should have been more clear about what I wanted but I am blonde and went to get my roots retouched and brightened all over with foils but left with hair darker than I came in with (guessing the toner was left on too long maybe). When I pull my hair up especially it looks like I have brown hair not blonde. So just a warning for my blondes; it doesn't look bad per say but just not at all what I was hoping to get for what I paid. read more
