Amazing amazing amazing , what a nice surprise ! Found it on yelp and decided to give it a try and glad we did Service was excellent , very attentive and friendly. We got the calamari , bread and butter , and fried octopus appetizers, 10/10 all around , for main course we tried the whole fish sea bass and white shrimp pasta , excellent and hands down 10/10 , highly recommend and will be back next time we are in town

    Wood fired sea bass. Amazing.

4 stars but barely. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Fleetwood was not at all what I was expecting. It's possible I didn't research it enough but I thought it would be a swanky restaurant like a few others near it in Calistoga. When I arrived I was shocked to see it is a hotel restaurant in the lobby of the hotel.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Since it's a Hyatt it's not terrible, it just very much feels like a hotel restaurant with tables set out on the floor right next to the main lobby.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was fine but another shocker was the menu - it only seemed to have about 12 things total on it. I was expecting a much larger menu. Fortunately, the food was good. I enjoyed 2 cocktails that were very tasty. The grilled Hearts of Romaine were ok. Nothing stood out but then it is a salad. The wood fire sea bass was bomb. It was marinated in an Indian spice blend of some kind so it had a really lovely flavor profile that was spicy but not overwhelming (almost like a tandoori version). Laura had a pizza and it was good. Not the best I've had but on par for good food in Napa. [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you aren't overly fussy about ambience, can handle a very limited menu and aren't looking for fine dining Fleetwood may fit the bill, I just don't think it's destination worthy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Second time coming here but only now writing the review. This place has amazing food and super convenient that it's at the same hotel we stayed at. They offer a variety of American food from pizzas to pastas and more. I went with the mushroom pizza and it was fantastic! It had lots of great mushroom pieces and chunks of parmesan. It's a bit thicker on the crust but everything was delicious

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Fleetwood Calistoga, and overall, it was an enjoyable experience that left a positive impression. Calamari: To start, I ordered the calamari, and it was a standout dish. The calamari was perfectly tender, not the least bit rubbery, and was fried to golden perfection. It was accompanied by a zesty dipping sauce that complemented the flavors beautifully. The portion size was generous, making it a great appetizer for sharing or for a hearty start to the meal. Chicken Breast with Au Jus: For the main course, I opted for the chicken breast with au jus. The chicken was juicy and well-seasoned, served with a flavorful au jus that added an extra layer of richness to the dish. The presentation was simple yet elegant, and it came with a side of seasonal vegetables that were cooked just right--crispy and fresh. However, I wish the dish had a bit more depth in terms of flavor; while it was good, it didn't quite reach the level of excitement I was hoping for. Shrimp Pasta: The shrimp pasta was another highlight of the meal. The shrimp were plump and juicy, and they paired wonderfully with the al dente pasta. The dish had a light, garlic-infused sauce that was both aromatic and flavorful without being overwhelming. It struck a nice balance and left me wanting more with each bite. Definitely a must-try for pasta lovers! Churros: To finish, we couldn't resist trying the churros for dessert. They were delightful--crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, dusted with just the right amount of cinnamon sugar. Served with a chocolate dipping sauce, they were the perfect sweet ending to our meal. I only wished for a tad more chocolate sauce, but it was a minor detail in an otherwise satisfying dessert. Atmosphere and Service: [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance of Fleetwood Calistoga was warm and inviting, with a rustic charm that made it a cozy place to enjoy a meal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff was attentive but not intrusive, ensuring we had everything we needed without rushing us through our dining experience. Final Thoughts: Overall, Fleetwood Calistoga offers a lovely dining experience with a menu that caters to diverse tastes. While some dishes could use a touch more seasoning or innovation, the quality of ingredients and the skill in preparation are apparent. I would recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a relaxed night out with good food and a pleasant atmosphere. I certainly look forward to returning to try more of their offerings!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute newly renovated restaurant located just outside of the downtown Calistoga area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food tasted good and fresh, service was great and timely. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat outside and in the evening time string lights beautifully light back the patio area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Ask the Community - Fleetwood

    Is the restaurant dog friendly?

Absolutely, we love our four-legged friends! 🐾 Our outdoor patio is pet-friendly, so feel free to bring your furry companions along for a great time!

    Are there vegan options?

Absolutely! My husband is a vegan and thoroughly enjoyed the food.

Hi, Can I bring a bottle of wine? Any corkage fees?

Sure you can bring a bottle as most restaurants in the wine country allow it but they do usually charge a fee, what the fee is I am not sure. The restaurant is fabulous.

    Walk ins or reservations only?

We made a reservation, but they talk walk ins. It's a small place, and since it's in a busy area, it tends to be packed.

Solage is nestled right on the Silverado Trail in the heart of Calistoga, and the location is unbeatable--you're basically three minutes from downtown and a short, scenic drive from St. Helena and Yountville. The property itself is stunning. It's got that modern wine-country vibe with about 100 detached studios spread across 20-plus acres. When you're sitting in one of the natural hot spring pools or hitting the cold dips at the spa, it really does feel like world-class luxury. Between the mud slides, the gravity chairs, and the fitness classes, you can easily spend your whole trip without leaving the gates. The Food: Solbar is a must. We had the seven-course New Year's Eve prix fixe with wine pairings over numerous years, and each were equally unique and incredible. It's that perfect balance of farm-to-table "health" food and total comfort dishes. For something more low-key, Picobar by the pool has some of the best Baja-style tacos I've had in NorCal. Plus, the whole place is super dog-friendly, which is a huge win for us. The Experience & Pro-Tip: Definitely book through AmEx Platinum if you can. We used the Fine Hotels + Resorts program and snagged a $300 credit, a late 4 p.m. checkout, and an automatic upgrade. I will say, even "perfect" places have their off moments. This year, despite requesting a room close to the spa months in advance (and confirming twice), they initially tucked us away at the far edge of the property. I wasn't thrilled about hiking across 22 acres in my robe and sandals! I spoke with the front desk, and the concierge actually went back and reviewed my recorded calls to verify the request. They did move us about 30 minutes later to a spot half the distance away, though it lacked the private fenced patio and fireplace of our original booking. I was too tired to keep fighting it and just wanted to get to the spa, so I settled in. Despite that hiccup, the service and the atmosphere here remain some of the best in the world. It's not cheap, but for the memories and the access to Napa's best vineyards, it's worth it every time. Can't wait to be back next year.

Compared to Stanly, the rates for rooms were more expensive while I felt the Stanly offered a much better campus. Despite the comments about the campus, the food onsite was pretty good and the reviews will be posted in their respective pages. The room service could have been better as they missed delivery of the pre-ordered breakfast in the morning as the night shift didn't properly fill in the order request and didn't get placed, but the team quickly remedied the situation and delivered not too long after our original request time. The rooms were comfy with a good layout, but the garden out back were covered with fences and it didn't feel as freeing as Stanly Ranch's rooms where the back patio is uncovered. Overall, I'd visit Stanly or Auberge du Soleil when going back to the Napa area.

During that experience (which you can read about in my previous review - if interested), my wife and I had a grand experience with former Business Manager Emma, who administered the delicious tastings. Fast forward to the present, we looked forward to enjoying a glass of their finest red before finding lunch. Upon entering the walkway, we were enthusiastically greeted by an employee named John who quickly ushered us to a vacant table for two. My wife had a slight reaction to the beautiful flowers that were in full bloom. Out of the kindness of his heart, John provided my wife with a bottle of Pure Leaf tea that calmed her allergies. We told John that we were interested in enjoying a glass of red, in which he quickly ran off and returned with a bottle of 2009 Eugenia Cabernet Sauvignon. Upon doing the swirl and sniff test (sounds dirty doesn't it?), I knew that we were in for a treat. Since we were both in dire need of a meal, we sadly could not continue the party. Because of that history, I never expected to be treated this way. We experienced a genuine family emergency that forced us to leave early and requested a refund for our unused Sunday and Monday nights. These were weekday nights not a weekend or holiday, and the hotel kept 100% of the charges for both nights despite us not being there. What made the situation even worse was the amount of time we had to spend going back and forth during an already stressful family emergency. The front desk staff repeatedly told us they understood and agreed a refund was appropriate, but the owner instructed them not to issue one. For several days, staff members seemed confused about the situation, while the owner/manager refused to respond to phone calls or text messages. We were left waiting, following up repeatedly, and receiving no direct communication from the person making the decision. I understand businesses have cancellation policies, but there should also be room for compassion and reasonable discretion, especially for LOYAL, repeat guests who have spent thousands of dollars over the years and have personally referred many others to stay here. Unfortunately, this experience erased years of goodwill. Customer service is tested when something unexpected happens, and this hotel failed that test. We will NEVER stay here again, and after this experience, I can no longer recommend it to friends, family, or clients. What a HUGE disappointment Cottage Grove. The…read moreproperty is charming at first glance--beautiful garden setting, cottage-style rooms on a tree-lined street, and very friendly, warm service. The grounds are well kept and the inn is clean, with clear potential to be a truly special place. However, at nearly $700 per night on a weekend, the experience fell well short of expectations. The property feels underinvested. The furnishings are dated and worn rather than intentionally antique, and the bathroom is significantly outdated. Towels were also visibly old and frayed. The biggest issue was the bed. It was extremely uncomfortable--more like old, degraded foam than a supportive mattress--and made sleep difficult, with noticeable motion transfer even with a partner. We pulled back the bedding and found an old foam topper over a worn, stained mattress. Using a photo of the manufacturer's label, we determined the mattress was manufactured in September 1996 and likely purchased at Square Deal Mattress Factory in Chico, CA. If accurate, that would make the mattress over 30 years old, which is far beyond any reasonable replacement cycle for a hospitality property at this price point. Breakfast was also disappointing--limited, mostly store-bought items such as stale croissants, basic English muffins, and very weak coffee with minimal quality or attention to detail. In summary, Cottage Grove Inn has a beautiful setting, clean rooms, and excellent staff, but the lack of investment in core comfort elements--especially beds, bathrooms, and furnishings--makes the value difficult to justify. I would not return at the current price level without significant updates.
