I was unfotunately unable to try the cuisine or cocktails. Although their website stated they opened at 3:00pm, and I arrived at 3:20, they weren't open. The owner was blowing leaves, cleaning tables, and talking on the phone. I approached the entrance and he looked me right in the face but didn't acknowledge me or offer any idea when he would be open. I sat on the outdoor bench near the entrance thinking it wouldn't be long, to no avail. After 20 minutes I noticed he had sat down and was fully engaged in his phone conversation so I took my business elsewhere. I passed back by about 4:15pm and he was just opening. Its the 1 restaurant I was looking forward to patronizing and he let me down in a big way.

Jerk chicken. Delicious and not too spicy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon here at Robert's last weekend. I did not want an alcoholic cocktail, so they made me a delicious mocktail. So they might want to add mocktails to their menu. We actually came to try the jerk chicken. It was beautifully plated and was delicious. It was not too spicy. I had the salmon poke bowl. It was really good. I wish it had a squeeze or two of more sauce to meld the flavors together. But each of the items within the bowl were very fresh and tasty. The owner, Robert, was very friendly and explained to us how the location for their restaurant was chosen. Interesting. The outdoor area was nice looking and comfortable. It was pretty warm out and so they could've used a few more umbrellas for shade. Customer service was excellent.

This place has the most amazing vibe of any restaurant we've ever been to. Beautiful outdoor setting and the best cocktails you will have in your life. All the servers are hustling and doing the best they can with what they have. The drinks are made all from scratch and if you ask him, Robert will make you something special.

Great spot for drinks and a light meal or snacks. Hearing the reggae tunes played by the skilled musician on his steel drum, we walked in and Robert gave us a friendly welcome. And the cocktails and food exceeding my expectations: tasty mai tais, garlic fries with parmesan, and the pork belly sliders were amazing with a pineapple sauce and apple slaw. We arrived early and there was plenty of seating, but as we lingered the place was full. Friendly vibe.

One of the most unique vibes on the Calistoga strip! Incredible cocktails and a great food menu to suit any palate. This time we just had drinks, but if we hadn't just eaten lunch, I would have sampled a few items from their diverse offerings. We really appreciated the sample of their soup of the day--a flavorful interpretation of the classic butternut squash soup with a perfect texture and wonderful garnish of herb oil--delicious! Can't wait to come back soon!

Yes ! The rumors are true . This place is great . Nice place . Decorated beautifully. They also have movies that they play on the wall with a projector for $5. Nice menu . Great service . I'll definitely be back and recommend this place.

The entire experience is top notch. The restaurant is cozy and comfortable. The menu is innovative and feature a fusion of California cuisine and Jamaican Traditions. The service is excellent, very warm and welcoming while being extremely professional. This place is a must when in Napa Valley!!

I have had this place book marked for a while and I finally got a chance to check it out. This particular warm spring day we arrived right when they opened at 1pm on Saturday 4/19/25. The atmosphere is really relaxing with comfortable outdoor seating options from high top tables, to patio seating or even bar side . I am a fan of the Old Fashioned and was pleased to see a coconut washed version. My companion loves Mojitos and ordered a strawberry one. I have to say it was probably the best flavored Mojito I have ever tasted. We also enjoyed an order of tasty parmesesn garlic fries.. The vibe of this place with reggae playing; comfortable outdoor seating, delicious hand crafted cocktails, creative small bites definitely makes me want to return. Especially in the evening to enjoy some live music and additional cocktails. The owner Robert graciously gave us a private peek of his Rum Bar inside the adjoining hotel. If you are a rum lover he has a large collection. Highly recommend a visit here and a great addition to the Napa Valley!

I was very excited based on the reviews to try Robert's Tropical Table. They open in the late afternoon, so it's perfect for some before dinner drinks and small plates! The outdoor seating is so nice, there are many tables nestled into a small space, but it feels spacious and relaxing. There is great reggae music to listen to while you eat! The staff is very friendly, and took time to check on us, tell us about specials, and delivered our plates quickly. The food is wonderful and each plate was presented so beautifully. We enjoyed a variety of the small plates, including jerk chicken and mozzarella on the most delicious bread. I found the drinks exceptional. I ordered a pina colada mocktail, and unfortunately their blender wasn't working, so they offered to still make it, but as a shaken drink. It was so great! Somehow it still tasted like it had rum, even though it did not! My children each had margarita mocktails and this is the first time they asked for another. Robert's is definitely doing something right with those drinks! I'd visit again anytime!

If you're looking for a spot that really brings the heat -- in flavor, vibe, and creativity -- Robert's Tropical Table is it. Every time I come here, I leave thinking, "How lucky Napa is to have upscale Caribbean." Let's start with the food -- because wow. The jerk chicken is smoky, juicy, and perfectly spiced with just the right kick. The short rib melts in your mouth, rich and slow-cooked to perfection. The oxtail? Fall-off-the-bone tender and bursting with deep, bold flavor. And don't sleep on the gumbo -- it's the kind of soulful, hearty dish that makes you feel like you just got hugged by someone's grandma. And then there are the desserts -- tropical, indulgent, and never an afterthought. They hit that sweet spot (literally) without being too heavy, and always leave you wanting one more bite. But let's talk about the real twist: the drinks. This place is a rum lover's paradise. They specialize in it and have what feels like every rum under the sun. Even if you don't think you like rum -- trust me -- you'll be a believer by the time you leave. The bartenders know what they're doing and craft drinks that completely reframe what rum can be. They don't only serve rum. They have any alcohol you can think of. I have a few favorites. Favorites? Don't miss the: Side Effects - smooth, layered, and sneakily strong La Fresca - bright, fresh, and perfect on a hot evening Thank Mi Later - tropical and unforgettable (you will be thanking them later) And if you're more of a wine person, their wine list is just as thoughtful, featuring unique bottles from small producers you won't find at your average restaurant. Shout out to WOO Girl! Cellars -- small-batch sparkling and rose and full of personality, just like the restaurant itself. Whether you're here for a full dinner, a round of drinks, or just to vibe with some great people, Robert's delivers every single time. I always look forward to my next visit. This place isn't just a restaurant -- it's an experience.

Don't just stop by for a meal--plan to spend a few hours exploring because every historic train car has its own unique experience. The amount of creativity, craftsmanship, and attention to detail is incredible. Every space feels thoughtfully designed, and you can tell every decoration and element was placed with intention. I notice something new every time I visit. I honestly can't pick a favorite train car. Casa Obsidiana serves authentic Oaxacan cuisine in one of the most beautifully designed spaces. The Parlor Car is elegant and perfect for champagne, caviar, and fresh oysters. If you're visiting with kids (or just have a sweet tooth), Earth & Sky Chocolates is a must--everything is absolutely delicious. Then there's the First Millionaires' Saloon, which is one of the coolest bars you'll ever walk into. The décor alone is worth the visit, and the distillery adds another unique experience to explore. Every train car has its own personality, making the entire property feel like an adventure rather than just a place to eat. The food is fantastic across the board. My son is obsessed with the wood-fired pizzas, and we've never had a meal we didn't enjoy. Whether you're stopping in for dinner, drinks, dessert, or simply wandering through the train cars, there's something for everyone. What truly makes this place even more special is the people. Every single employee we've encountered has been genuinely warm, welcoming, and kind. Michael always goes out of his way to say hello and make us feel at home, and Pedro is just as friendly and accommodating. You can tell the staff genuinely care about creating a memorable experience, and that hospitality is a huge reason we keep coming back. To make it even better, they have live music every weekend, creating such a fun atmosphere that you'll want to stay for hours. I've visited many places throughout Napa Valley, and nothing compares to the Calistoga Depot. It's historic, beautiful, unique, family-friendly, romantic, and unlike anywhere else. Whether you're looking for amazing food, handcrafted cocktails, authentic Oaxacan cuisine, incredible desserts, live music, or simply a one-of-a-kind experience, you'll find it here. This isn't just one of my favorite restaurants--it's one of my favorite places, period. If you're in Calistoga, don't even question it. Put the Calistoga Depot at the top of your list. I promise you'll leave already planning your next visit.

This place is so cool and definitely worth a stop when you're in Calistoga…read more We stopped by for a quick lunch and were immediately led into the distillery, which can only be described as impressive. Boasting high ceilings with exposed wood beams and a beautifully decorated bar area, the space oozes with rustic class and would make a great venue for any party or group gathering. We, however, came in for a sit down lunch with two kids and the small lounge seats and tables were not the best setup for a family meal. Which is the only thing keeping me from giving this place five stars. Similarly, the menu was also catered more to adults, with plenty of vegan options but very few items suitable for kids. That's not a knock on this place, just something to take note of. As a result, we opted to snack on a few items and the caviar and duck fat fries did not disappoint. The espresso martini with pumpkin foam was also excellent. But the really cool part about this place is the vintage train cars, each intricately decorated and offering their own dining/drinking experience. For example, one offers an oyster bar with underwater decor while another features a cowboy bar with real saddles as bar seats. The cleverness in design and attention to detail is impressive and is what makes this place special. I doubt there is a more interesting place to have lunch in Calistoga. I'm a fan of what they're doing here and would love to come back. Minus the kids of course.

While enjoying the delicious Pork Belly bites, we placed an order for their non-beer options (neither one of us are beer lovers). We ordered the Dust Bowl Brewery Strawberry Margarita seltzer, which is ironically a brewery that is located in close proximity to our home. As we were winding down, we ordered a round of ciders and the three meats-three sides platter for dinner. It looked like a nice place, and we decided we would return the following day for a visit. We came in for some drinks and to enjoy the swanky interior. Dark, sexy vibes, very nicely done. It was on the emptier side when we visited, partly because it was earlier in the afternoon, and partly because people were elsewhere watching the final rounds of the World Cup, but that was fine with us, because we got out lovely bartender basically all to ourselves. Unfortunately, I can't remember his name, but he was terrific, friendly, engaging, and down-to-earth. He made us some great drinks (lemon drop for me, tequila & lime for my partner - we're such one trick ponies), and later showed us around the place. There is a lot of history in the building. I actually first found out about it because of my obsession (and I mean obsession) with the banana bread at Sam's Social Club. If you know, you know -- it's ridiculously good. We're talking the kind of banana bread that ruins all other banana breads for you. It comes with this cloud of whipped mascarpone cheese on the side -- not butter, not cream cheese, mascarpone -- and it's just... bomb-diggity! I've literally daydreamed about it. But here's the problem: they sell out. Fast. Like, blink-and-it's-gone fast. So one of the last times I was in Calistoga, I was told that if Sam's Social Club runs out, you can actually grab it from La Palmiere, their little Airstream café on the same property. You better believe I made a beeline there -- and yes, they had it. Crisis averted. Banana bread secured. Happiness restored. Their menu is pretty limited (which I don't mind -- they stick to what they're really good at), and their hours are short, so definitely check before you go. But I've also tried their egg sandwich, and oh my gosh -- they use Model Bakery English muffins, which are basically the gold standard of English muffins. The second I saw that, it was an instant yes. Their avocado toast is another win -- super fresh and piled high. Like, they definitely don't skimp. I'm pretty sure it's at least one whole avocado per toast situation, and I am not mad about it. Oh, and even their coffee is solid. Simple, smooth, and hits the spot while you're sitting outside soaking up that relaxed Calistoga vibe. So if you're staying at Indian Springs -- or even just in the area -- do yourself a favor and swing by La Palmiere. Especially if Sam's Social Club is sold out of that heavenly banana bread. You can thank me later.
