While the food is always good, the service is lacking. Be sure not to wear your "cloak of invisibility". It took 5-minutes to be acknowledged and another 5 to get my beverage. Waitstaff has no sense of urgency or understanding that customers should get more attention than chatting with the manager at the cash register. We eat breakfast here a lot. Today I had the best ham and cheese omelet I've had in a long time, if ever. I'm picky about my eggs and they made the omelet perfectly. Their home fries are awesome - be sure to add onions. I can also recommend their everything oatmeal and creamed chipped beef (be hungry though). Really was wanting a nice breakfast and was sorry disappointed. Although my biscuits and gravy was delicious, my wife's pancakes were minutes behind. My hash browns were ice cold. Our server, Rosa, was nonexistent after taking our order, until serving it separately to us. She did not return to our table once to ask if I wanted more coffee, or how was our meal. Luckily , I signalled a manager, I think, about the cold hash browns, and another waitress about some hot coffee. Flapjacks changing it's name to Mimi's Hotcakes is a regular breakfast stop for my husband and I. We eat there 2-3 days a week! The omelets are awesome - nice and fluffy. Yes not an usual description of an omelet but try one and see what I mean. The service is exceptional! We have a few specific requests in our food prep and the servers know without reminders. The food is consistently fantastic. Try the pancakes too. It's the only breakfast place we eat the pancakes!. Try them out you will not be disappointed! read more

This place is misleading if you only go by the exterior. The parking lot is pretty tight so bring a small vehicle if you can. The interior is pleasant without being overwhelming. The staff is pretty cool and put up with my older brothers being a pain so that was awesome. Food came out piping hot and tasted really good for the cost. I'd already posted a review, but I'll gladly do it again. This hometown diner spot is a gem in the rough. As you approach the entrance, there's seating outdoors, and lots of dog bowls. They had me there! But once inside, I felt like it was a no judgement zone. The staff is very friendly, especially Stephanie, my favorite server, and I was able to have a hassle-free, very late breakfast with an old friend. We chatted, while delicious food was served. My veggie omelette and hash browns were out of this world delicious. My friend of 40 years is fighting cancer, and Stephanie was so patient and accommodating during our visit. I couldn't be more thankful. There was no feeling of being rushed, even as it was fairly busy. I love this place and will continue to visit whenever I'm in Palm Harbor. read more

Doing some early doctor visits and in the mood for Brunch, decided to go back to Flapjacks, having been there once before. It was busy but we were seated right away. Kennedy, our smiling and vivacious server, brought menus and waters. My wife went for the special Mexican Scramble with onions, green peppers, eggs, jalapeños, chorizo and pepper jack cheese and a side of whole wheat toast. I chose the Irish Bennie with corned beef hash and a side of grits. Both meals were excellent. The Scramble was delightful and had a nice heat. My Bennie was a delicious twist on a classic. I've passed this location numerous times since moving to Clearwater during the pandemic. I drive past the intersection of 580 and McMullen Booth Road numerous times. I happen to be up early this morning and did a U-turn just stop at flap jacks. I received a very warm welcome from a sweet, looking waitress named Kennedy once upon entering the building. She made great venue suggestions and seemed very knowledgeable about those. My food is fantastic. It was well worth stopping in this morning. The service was exceptional. it's been years since I've been here. My friend and I went for breakfast. It wasn't crowded when we arrived about 9:45 AM so we were seated immediately. It was filled when we left around 11AM. There is a new menu. So many options. I had blueberry crepes with a side of bacon. My friend had the daily special of Corned beef hash, 2 eggs, grits, 2 pancakes. The plates were huge! My crepes were handmade and fresh ( not frozen) there were 3 footlong crepes stuffed with blueberry compote and topped with real whipped cream. The ends of the crepes overhung the plate slightly. My bacon came out just like I wanted it-crispy!! I had a cup of tea with 2 refills (I'm so glad they don't serve Liptons tea which is bitter) My friend's meal was perfect and she ate every bite-usually she doesn't finish but she said it was soooo good she had to. We will be back soon. The wait staff was so friendly and attentive. The restroom was clean and large. There is plenty of parking in front. read more

If I could give it a negative I would. We sat at the counter & watched as "regulars" were given food after we had FINALLY put our orders in. Place was a mad house & whoever was in charge needs a different system. We watched our order sit under the heat lamp for 20 minutes & our ponytail blonde crabby waitress Tanya, never served it to us, never bothered to check or speak to us, & after 35 minutes we put some cash down for our drinks & left. I guess if you're a single old guy that hits on you, you'll get waited on & get food. Bad, rude service by this waitress, Tanya, & what a shame, it's close to our house but we will NEVER go back!
