My go-to for bagel sandwiches in the area. It can get really busy during the morning rush, so plan on waiting a few minutes or consider ordering ahead. The staff here is always friendly and helpful. The BEC usually has several slices of bacon, versus other bagel shops that slap a slice or two on there!

This little bagel shop is a hidden gem! I've used to go here when I was growing up in this area back in high school almost 15 years ago. Stopped by while visiting the area this weekend and it's just as amazing as I remember it! Tons of sandwich options, ordered my classic favorite, the Howard stern, which was exactly as I remember it back in the day. Great bagel selection here and the breakfast sandwiches are out of this world "salt pepper ketchup!!" 5 stars!

Good, but the woman who answers the phone literally doesn't have a clue what's going on.

Good bagels but bad service. On more than one occasion I have been given and charged for cream cheese instead of butter. Very frustrating.

The space looks great and the service was fast and very friendly. It was around 1 PM, so we stuck to lunch sandwiches, but can't wait to return for eggs sometime soon. We ordered a "Jane's", which was a chicken filet with pesto, special sauce, burrata, roasted red peppers and more. Very tasty and good proportions where the pesto didn't overwhelm the other flavors. We also ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with vodka sauce and mozzarella, which was also excellent. Looking forward to returning!

They do not skimp on it- lots of cheese, eggs, and ham on a large fresh round roll. Delicious! This sandwich beats out Bill's Luncheonette across the street so go try it for yourself Service - fast, friendly and attentive staff that welcomes you as soon as you walk in. They are very quick on fulfilling orders. Much faster than Bill' Luncheonette so if you in a hurry then this place is a slam dunk. Ambiance- nice and clean inside. It is not so much an eat in place as it is a deli but it does have stools and a bar along the front to eat inside if preferred. More suited for take out orders. Definitely my #1 go to place for breakfast to go in the area! Try it and prove me wrong

It feels like a hole in the wall, but at the same time is actually very clean and thoughtfully decorated. I loved all of the pictures of old fashioned movie stars on the wall, and much preferred this ambiance to any of my local diners. Our server was a young man who we later found out was the grandson of the owners, who were sitting right at the counter table. It made Marilyn's even more charming to know that it really is just a mom-and-pop that an entire family rallys to takes great pride in. I was really excited to see cheese blintz on the menu, as this is one of my favorites but is not so common! I ordered this, along with a side of bacon, and a decaf coffee. My blintz was excellent and came loaded with fresh fruits and sour cream. It was better than the blintzes I used to order from my favorite Ukranian restaurant in NYC. The bacon was cooked perfectly (crispy!) and my coffee was awesome. I will definitely be returning to bring my husband. I am only knocking off one star (it hurts to do this because I really loved my food and experience here) because they only offer bottled water, they are cash only, and the bathroom was very VERY cramped. Otherwise this would've been a five star review!

My wife love their homefries she kept saying how good it was. My son devoured the bacon. I wonder if they use farm raised eggs because they taste better than whatever I get from the store. The sauce for the country fried steak is excellent. I expected it to be more fried but I guess there are different ways to make it.

We were looking for somewhere to eat after visiting a local farm and this place was perfect. An older Ukrainian woman was cooking and doing a great job. My husband had the chicken pot pie and I had the stuffed cabbage, both delicious! And then the chef sent out a corncake for us to try (never had one before). We live an hour away, but I can't wait to go back and have those corncakes! The place is small and very quiet so you're aware of everyone in the room and there's actual conversation instead of people looking at their cell phones. Great experience, really nice people. Felt like we were in someone's home, welcomed and well fed.

They are everything I dreamed they would be and more. Sweet, fluffy, but also melt in your mouth. They're almost better than regular pancakes. So stinkin good. If you forgot cash (like me), there's a ShopRite 4 minutes away that has a WellsFargo atm. Can't wait to go back.

These days, while I appreciate the attempt in making the interior more inviting (think Mid-Century modern vibes), this is "order & pay at the counter" type of service, with significantly reduced menu options (mostly sandwiches), and given the pricing the food itself wasn't satisfying unfortunately (we had Falafel wrap and Pren Burger, both of which I would probably have done much better at home-lacking flavors overall, plastic dishes, falafels were basically mashed chickpeas). As for recommending to others,I'd say this may still be worth a stop for a coffee and maybe a boardgame sitdown-definitely don't expect amazing food :/ Overall, since my priority when eating out is food,I'm disappointed and not returning,sorry..!
