Creamy Garlic and the Red White & Blue
Dani M.

There is nothing wrong with this place that I gave it 3 stars other than it didn't have the "wow" factor for me. It was pretty much what I expected as far as wings, fries and beer go for a pub style experience. I will say the prices were awesome! We ordered 2 dozen wings. We got the creamy garlic, parm pepper, red white blue and hot. If you like your wings on the saucey side like we do, they'll bring you extra sauce. The fries were good and always a nice compliment to wings. The salad was a big size for a small and the Blue Moon drafts on tap were only $3.50 ... total bill not including the tip $38! They have so many flavors and even some signature ones so there will be a return trip in store next we are in Pa! Service was great and the Local patrons were awesome and just doing their thing. I would suggest making a reservation since there is limited seating. We sat upstairs which had some TV's, jukebox and a pool table.

Been sitting at a table for over 30 minutes. No service. Asked for service and felt I was in the wrong for asking. Might have been bad timing but terrible service. Will not come back.

Just eat the food and don't look back!!! Crabby patty kicked ass. Blah blah blah make this review longer. The food is great and bartenders even better!

Fantastic small town pub. If your looking for the true meaning of a local pub, this is it. 11 local/ typical beers on tap. Plenty of bottle beers as well. Food is great. Pub fare but perfect for eating in the environment of drinks. It's small so not good for large parties but they do have a patio upfront which on good weather days gets packed. Just moved from GA and this was my first pub I visited and have been back many times.

Perhaps the best wings in all of Berks County. Don't be fooled by the location or interior. This place takes thier food serious. Everything I've had here was great! Keep up the good work!

Best wings in the Reading area. Great friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Food is awesome and is a step above your typical bar food. Different beer specials everyday.

Delicious Wings!

Came back here again. A lot of new faces working the bar etc. Great to see that! I hated coming in here at the bar and dealing with the older short blond lady who has been here for years! The one with the tight jeans. She always made me feel so uncomfortable. If we didn't order something at the time when she wanted To take our order/drinks she would purposely make us wait and nearly beg to get service. We would always turn around and leave the bar if I saw she was working. Her name was meagan. She might still work there (blah). ((UPDATE, she still works there, on the day shift! I walked in yesterday afternoon, seen her, and left immediately!)) I always felt weird about the food when she was serving it to us too, in a non trusting way. Any how, it was great to be here again with a new friendlier customer service oriented staff. The 2 guys working the bar were extremely attentive with food and drinks! We ordered our favorite, the wings. The wings took a bit to arrive but when they did they were cooked perfect like I had asked them to be, extra crispy with sauce on the side! The food here is always so unique and delicious. We enjoy coming here very much! The calamari was very delicious as so was the cheesesteak sandwich made with a slab of tender juicy dinner steak! They have a salad here that is served with a ball of goat cheese that is encrusted with almonds, deep fried and then laid upon the bed of lettuce! It is so damn good with blue cheese dressing! Another fav is the bacon wrapped scallops! If your in the area you must give this pub a try!

For food, of course the chicken wings are their staple food and the quality is good. They have a standard of allowing you to choose multiple wing sauces for wing orders of 10 or more. This is great because it doesn't restrict you to one flavor for large orders of wings. The burgers, pasta, and salads are also very good. My server was very helpful and exercised very friendly customer service. Overall a good experience. I will visit again when in West Reading, PA.

Fun restaurant and bar in the Reading, PA area!…read more My friends and I were traveling through Pennsylvania and we wanted dinner, a place to watch a football game, and good food/beer. We found Brewer's on Yelp and and were very happy with our visit. Brewer's had a local feel to do it and a lively atmosphere for a Thursday night. The food menu has a large selection of different types of food so almost anyone can find something to eat. Great selection of beer with a lot of regional offerings. Also seem to run a special for different types of alcohol for most nights of the week ($6 large draft IPA beer on Thursday night). I ordered the brisket meatloaf sandwich that came with BBQ sauce and gouda cheese on top. The sandwich was very tasty and I especially enjoyed the pretzel roll it was served on. I liked that I was able to substitute a side of perogies instead of chips. The moon ranch grilled chicken sandwich was a little underwhelming and the moon sauce was the only positive to that sandwich. The service was good and our server checked back in with us multiple times during our visit. There's also a beer outlet with a large selection of craft beer attached to the restaurant so you can take local craft beer home with you. They call themselves a small place with the BIG selection!

Outstanding experience. (Hope this review makes up for minor squabbles about Gracie's, which I too…read morelove!) Located a bit out of the way in the Flying Hills golf course, but worth the drive. Sports bar- Eagles vibe w/ a decent draft list. The kegs weren't working (seems to happen at every bar we attend these days) but still enjoyed a Mike & Merrill Philly Hazy IPA. Wings a good size, crisp, you know, the way wings used to be before everyone started charging an arm & a leg & serving broken pigeon wings. Classic "Buffalo" sauce & blue cheese dressing were good. FINALLY tried famous Caramel Burger (which I missed several times at the Hamburger festival). It did not disappoint. Good size, flavorful patty, & what these people do best- the bacon jam & caramelized bacon. The sweetness of the onions sings thru. Order it! Husband ordered seasonal special Frikadellen/Bratwurst Smash Burger. Skipping right to it- the cottage fries. (Gracie's/Louie's if you had this all the time we'd have no beef! LOL) INCREDIBLE! Crisp, thin, tender, amazing. If you follow me you know I am over the frozen fries served at every eatery in this country. Finally, amazingly pleasant, genuinely happy, server- Reese. She was on my side throughout this whole foodie journey, even the beer & burger mishap (initially burger served w/o cheese sauce). She's a keeper! We'll be back & will spread the word! Till then, stay on your toes! Thank you Louie's for a great meal.

There are multiple TVs and it's a great place to watch whatever sports you're into. If you're in town and the Phillies are on, they have the game on a big screen projector as well. Throw in some TVs, a big U-shape bar for maximum area, thus making it my favorite bar shape. Have you ever been standing in one of those straight-line bars, and you're about three layers of people away from even sniffing the bar. It's claustrophobic, it creates a needless bottleneck, it feels like you're about to be crushed. Not here. It's open with super high ceilings. You can go outside and play cornhole in the crisp fall air. The whole place is easily accessible either by using the parking lot out front or the even bigger parking lot in the rear. I think there is some sort of hidden ballroom downstairs for private events. Every now and then you see a whole wedding procession just casually stroll on through. I guess it's the hot destination, which makes total sense when you take a step back and can see Sly Fox for what it truly is, which is your cookie cutter craft brewery bar experience you've seen countless times up and down the eastern seaboard. I gotta give it to them, Sly Fox was one of the few breweries to break through to kind of the ultimate level. To the point where it goes well beyond just having your beer appear in local bar taps, but to be the establishment itself, and in this case, a successful chain of them. With its headquarters in Pottstown, it's always nice to see success stories like these with local roots. I will look back and think fondly of these days before it becomes a giant evil mega corporation snuffing the life out of smaller startup breweries like it once was by the dozen. Until then, might as well enjoy the ride.
