This cozy pub, nestled into the backside of the Microtel in Hamburg, is truly a treasure! Open over 20 years and easy to see why! The clams in butter sauce were divine. The wings some of the best anywhere with plenty of sauce, sweet with a little kick, and the All-American cheesesteak phenomenal; onions, mushrooms, cheese sauce, and a horseradish garlic aoli with a legendary flavor profile sure to satisfy any soul. The rueben done right w/ Russian dressing (not big mac sauce) is super, although the corned beef could be a bit more tender. T and her staff are the best, super friendly, and able to manage events and specials every night of the week with frequent live music and a good little crowd.

The atmosphere is great. They have live music some days. They have a jukebox with modern and classic music the digital kind you can use with your phone app if you want. The food is also outstanding i have pretty much tried everything an give it two thumbs up and Kitchen closes at 10pm. Connected to hotel so you can get drunk and get a great price for a stay too. WEDNESDAY NIGHT IS Karaoke. FRIDAY night live DJ For the owners remember my face im from Port Clinton down the street from you and love this place.

Excellent prices, good food! Open-mic, a little harsh on the ears....but good overall.

I visited this place last year on their busy night: Sunday (Service Industry Night). I was…read moresurprised that even though the hotel is the nicest place to stay in Lancaster, the bar was packed full of the trashiest people Lancaster has to offer (then again classy people don't go out drinking on a Sunday.) The all male bartenders provided fantastic service, if you happened to be a scantily clad woman; me like all the other guys waiting at the bar were left waiting for sloppily poured drinks for most of the night. The night ended in the classiest way possible, with a shooting. outside of Penn Square.

The atmosphere, the food and the staff at the Rendezvous are excellent. To add to the atmosphere was the music which I learned was actually streaming the bartenders iPod via Pandora Internet radio. This was music to my ears (pun intended). I believe that the good music can be as important as pairing wine or drinks with food and Ashley had it dialed in. While at the bar I ordered a Kettle One Martini with a lemon twist. The drink was delivered and look liked any other martini but then I took a drink. The martini was very smooth and the lemon twist was incredible. In fact it may have been the best Martini I ever had. If you are looking for a great atmosphere, great service and possibly the best Martini's you'll ever have then make it a point to visit Ashley at the Rendezvous lounge. I should mention something about the food since I did eat 3 meals there. Of course the Martini's were a big draw but the food is equally good. Over the 3 nights that I dined at the Rendezvous Lounge I had roasted pears and Brie Quesadilla, Wedge Salad with thick cut bacon, Chesapeake Blue Crab Bisque, Central Market Salad with goat cheese and cranberries and their seared tuna. All of which were presented nicely and tasted wonderful. I recommend any of these small plates depending on what your in the mood for. I look forward to my return visit to the Marriott at Penn Square and the Rendezvous Lounge. I hope to hear Pandora, see Ashley and enjoy some of the other fabulous creations at the Rendezvous.

We had such a great early dinner here. Brussels Sprouts were to die for. Kielbasa and Perogies…read morewere so good I didn't want to stop eating them but I got so full.. don't worry.. my husband finished them off. Wait staff was a little cutie and so good, we never wanted for a thing.

Where should I begin ?…read more The chose the name Deer Lake Pub & Restaurant. Their name could not be further from the truth. It is a bar, not a pub, and certainly has no right to call themselves a restaurant. I have been to many, many true pubs and this is nothing even close. It is a low tier bar, at best. The "restaurant" is a drab room with square tables, no table cloths, the room has no decorations or environment. It is drab and blasé, just like their grossly overpriced poor quality food. The Manheim Diner a few miles North serves MUCH better food tan here and it is a third of the price. I have actually had far better hot food from vending machines in bus and train terminals. I ordered the crab stuffed haddock and my wife ordered the 12-oz. ribeye steak. We asked for rolls with my French onion soup while we waited for our entrees. We decided the soup had to be made in fifteen minutes as it tasted poorly, onions were hard and NOT caramelized at all and there was no bread whatsoever under the cheese. Our requested rolls was not forthcoming until after our dinners were half eaten. The "rolls" were actually a small piece of halved hoagie roll which came to the table charred, hard as a rock and fully burnt on the entire bottom. We could not eat them as they were so hard and burnt. And, they charged $3.99 for that ! I requested the crab-stuffed haddock only have the light lemon butter sauce with no added salt, pepper, Old Bay, oregano, etc. it came to the table overcooked, dry, hard and tasteless. The "stuffed crab" was the same and had portions burnt on the bottom. My wife's "12-oz. ribeye" was more like eight ounces, tough as leather, appeared to us to have been hard beaten with a tenderizing mallet and almost unable to be cut with a steak knife. It was hard to chew and had little taste. We seriously doubt it was a ribeye as it was as tough as a flank steak and was most likely a cooked frozen piece of meat. The entire dinner cost almost $100.00. It was worth, at most, $30.00. We dine out a lot and enjoy good food. This was definitely NOT good food. It was not even mediocre. It was just poorly prepared low tier bar food. Save your money and go get hot food from train station vending machines. It will taste better and be appropriately priced.
