My favorite place to eat and drink in Hamburg! I compare every other soft pretzel to Copperz Brewhouse Pretzel, but nobody else comes close. The Fried Brussels sprouts with balsamic maple glaze are my other favorite appetizer. Best entree is the Burger Bowl, a salad topped with a cheeseburger and French fries. Choose thousand island dressing for the 'Big Mac' flavor. Yum! Rotating house brews are on tap as well as a few staples. We really enjoy Copper, an alt bier and Requiem, the steam beer. They also make some creative seasonal cocktails. The place is handicap accessible, small sidewalk ramp and no steps. For a wheelchair, it's tight getting in and out, as there are two single doors within 6 feet. The servers are friendly and helpful, letting us sample beers and making recommendations. When guests visit, we take them to Copperz and they're always pleasantly surprised. read more

We have made several visits to Copperz over the years. We have been quite satisfied with the food and the beer we have tried. Still, this place frustrates us. Living an 1 1/2 hours away, we plan our visits based on the tap list on the website. (We travel far as part of what we call Brewery Friday). Too often the list on the website is not close to the actual tap list. We made the trip only to find out they do not have what we came for. Fortunately, yesterday was an exception. We went for the smores stout. They still had the huckleberry wit. And to our surprise, they had a blackberry schwarzbier that was not on the website. All three were amazing. However, there are at least 4 beers list on the website tap list that were not available. I find it very disappointing that any restaurant can not keep their website up to date. It does a disservice to customers who travel for a specific menu item. read more

The more I wander outside the Philadelphia city limits I come to appreciate not just the limitless choices we have but the quality that comes with those choices. It is leaf peeping season and we are on the go every spare moment Trying to get a glimpse of every bit of color that fall has to offer us. What better a choice than to choose Copperz for our meal. The inside has bar seating as well as tables and booths. The staff is a little bit slow, but efficient. The food. Fed us. Everything we had was just assembled. No thought or care to the quality or the flavors. Everything needed just that little more umph. The Buffalo bites barely had sauce on them and we had to ask for more. The nachos barely had any bacon and the chicken and toppings were clumped in pile in the middle. The burger I didn't get a photo of was a basic patty - underwhelming. Cooperz is just a 2 minute drive from the Hamburg interchange off I-78. So not much to look at from the parking lot, but very nice inside. Staff is friendly and service was quick. I really enjoyed the pirogies, and their famous brew daddy chicken sandwich with a touch of hot honey. Loved it. It came with a side of home made creamy coleslaw. Finished with a piece of carrot cake. As a beer snob, I have to say I liked the two beers I tried. I rated both a 3.75 out of 5 on untappd. I will definitely come back when in the area. read more

We headed to Copperz pet friendly patio to socialize our foster pup Tate... and honestly to try a new beer! Stopped by this hidden gem after spending some time at Cabella's nearby, and we were pleasantly surprised. The beer was as good as I was expecting, but the food was the standout to me. To drink we got the Yule Shall not Pass brown ale and the Mull Wit Over witbier. They were both great, but my favorite was the brown ale. We got the pretzel to share, a black bean burger and fish and chips. The pretzel was giant!! Easily could be shared by 3-4 people. It was one of the better brewery pretzels that I've had lately, and the mustard and cheese were a great fit for it. As a vegetarian, I have my personal expectations for this type of burger, but it was actually delicious. My +1 liked his fish and chips. When we walked in, it had a great atmosphere and noticed that a lot of people knew each other. The decor was inviting and creative. I thought the food in the service here were quite good. The portions were generous, and I ordered the fish sandwich special, which came with just the right amount of fish and not too much breading. My only negative is that I was there the evening they were running trivia and it took forever. People got tired of waiting. They walked out. It was like two hours long. If they're going to boost business, they really need to Expedite and figure out a more efficient way to do the trivia because it just does not work. read more

First time here. Off street parking. Small outside dining area. Basic menu typical of brewpubs. Hubs had the mexican lager. Said it was a bit lighter than a Modelo. I had mozzarella sticks. They were good but I feel that $9 is a bit pricey - compared to arby's for $5.39.....just saying. Hubs got pork nachos. They did not skimp on the pork - they are a meal on their own. The undercooked lump of bacon was a bit disappointing and he would have liked a bit more salsa or pico. They were covered with beer cheese. He said they were definitely smokey and more of a bbq nacho than mexican. He also got the BBQ pork flatbread. Again definitely didn't skimp on the pork. Decent flavor. I got the mushroom swiss burger with a side of coleslaw. The burger was cooked to order and was pretty good. I only faintly tasted the horseradish sauce on my next to last bite. The coleslaw was fresh but had no vinegar bite. It was also room temp. For $15.50 the side could have been a bit bigger or they could have offered a small handful of chips with the small scoop of slaw. Lots of outlets for plugging in around the restaurant. At the bar there are outlets to charge your device at about every other seat. Small outside seating area with picnic benches. Waitstaff was ok. Our waitress was a bit curt the other waitress seemed very pleasant. Overall our bill was $59 before tip - for pub food and one drink. I expect to pay more in today's economy, I just feel the little things added up to not make it worth it for us. read more

Very good for the price. For appetizer we chose the Bavarian house made pretzel. It's massive , definitely could feed 4. It was cooked perfectly, plenty of crispy buttery goodness! Beer cheese and some grainy mustard goes perfectly with the pretzel. Wife and I both chose the Copperz house burger - which you could build yourself with endless combinations. Very juicy , thick burger cooked perfectly to mid well. The burgers are paired with chips and pickle but you can upgrade to fries or onion rings if you choose. It is a light pub style with an open atmosphere that made you slow down, and enjoy your dinner with friends and family. My wife and I stopped in for lunch this past Sunday as we were looking for something different to try. We walked into a very clean, tee establishment, and we were greeted by our waitress Kim. She was absolutely wonderful asking if it was our first visit there and giving us a thorough rundown of the menu and specials. It was nice to get actual recommendations when I asked instead of the usual "everything's good". We shared a flask of the cocktail of the day and as an appetizer, the giant hot pretzel with mustard and beer cheese that was easily big enough for four people. We each ordered a different type of burger, which came out in a timely manner and was a good quality beef patty, perfectly dressed on a nice brioche roll. I'd like to consider myself a craft beer enthusiast and being a Hamburg resident I was excited for the arrival of another brewery. Inside it is a beautiful brewery with a one of a kind bar top. The staff were extremely inviting and encouraged tasting of what was on tap. I sampled the four house drafts, the West Coast IPAA what is my favorite. The other three options (Stout, Rye and Pale Ale) were in my opinion just OK. I did not try any of the food but browsed the menu. It was basic bar food and appetizers. The beers and drinks were not bad, but nothing to knock your socks off, that you couldn't get an any of the hundreds of other microbreweries. The food was okay. Again, nothing special. Typical bar fare, overpriced & overhyped. Fried, and noticeably from frozen, nothing fresh. The service was the worst. I don't think that they can get rid of the manager, and anyone she brought with her, soon enough. The manager was abrasive and acted like she was better than everyone else there. It was very noticeable that she favored a certain server, over the other servers. After leaving we called to talk to the manager, directly, so as to avoid any further confrontations, and could hear the girl who answered the phone talking to her. The girl then came back on the phone and said the manager had left 5 minutes ago. This was a blatant lie, as we called as we were pulling out of the parking lot. If they keep this manager, she will surely drive away any potential business, they will receive, in the future. The Rustic Rye is sure one to try if you have that subtle sweet tooth since you get that nice toffee undertone.
