We went for dinner on Friday night and when we walked in there must of been 10 people waiting for take out orders. They all looked a little upset so they must of been waiting awhile. We got seated within a few minutes. As soon as we sat down someone bought us a pot of hot tea. It wasn't much longer when someone came to take our order. We were hungry so we order a lot! As you could see by the attached pictures lol. Everything was very good, minus the roasted pork. The roasted pork was so hard we couldn't eat it. The fork wouldn't even go through it. When the lady started clearing our plates we mentioned that the pork was hard and we couldn't eat it, she shrugged her shoulders and said "sorry" as she walked away. They offer lunch specials till 3:00pm as well as family style dinners starting at $18.95 per person. We tried the Flamingo chicken delicious crispy fried boneless chicken in a house special garlic sauce. Walnut shrimp, large gulf shrimp lightly battered in a honey cream sauce over pineapple and candied walnuts. Lastly the broccoli beef was tender and flavorful; we also added some egg fried rice. This place is awesome! We just moved in up the street and we're looking for a new local place. So excited we found this place! I ordered the crispy duck which came out amazing. He ordered the Flamingo Special chicken which was super duper amazing! We also got crab puffs and other sides, everything was really good and didn't seem cheap or especially greasy. Really good food. Best part was that we unknowingly ordered all this right before they closed and they made it all, waited for us and we're just so nice and welcoming even though we made them stay late. Great atmosphere and great food. I've been to a lot of Chinese restaurants and this one is very good. I always order the shrimp fried rice and walnut shrimp. We've had the dumplings and other dishes. They have booths and tables and always have free hot tea. The staff is very pleasant too. read more

The egg drop soup is fine, but everything else is completely flavorless. The most bland food I think we have ever had. They do not disclose common allergens in their food so we unknowingly ordered hot and sour soup and could not eat it because it has shrimp. Anyone with allergies- beware. The fried rice was excellent and only needed a touch of salt while the crab rangoon was better than some other places but wasn't as good as I had hoped. I ordered an egg flower soup, two orders of egg fried rice, walnut shrimp, and Mongolian beef. It cost me $50.23. I wish I knew orders came with white rice. If I knew that, I wouldn't have bought a second order of fried rice. The walnut shrimp was decadently delicious. The Mongolian beef left a pretty poor taste in my mouth. Wanted to shake up my typical Chinese takeout so we opted for Flamingo Palace tonight. Overall, I think this place is like a "C student". It passes, but barely...nothing really stands out. I ordered the hot and sour soup and was disappointed to see it has shrimp in it, something that was not advertised on my Door Dash app...given my seafood allergy, I wasn't able to enjoy it and would have saved $10 by knowing that ahead of time. Also ordered the dumplings and they were pretty good but the sauce was skimpy compared to the 10 dumplings. The vegetable lo Mein was average; the veggies were not cooked as much as I would have liked, they were still pretty al dente, and again, kinda light on sauce making it dry, but the flavor was good. The sweet and sour chicken was good, but the sauce put on top makes the travel to my house the perfect opportunity to make that crispy chicken really soggy. And, heads up, upgrade to the large size if you're feeling pretty hungry!! All in all, it was fine. It wasn't great but it certainly was okay! read more

First, my order was prepared and delivered in 45 minutes which is impressive because the restaurant is about 20 minutes away from my home. Second, There's a special sauce that goes on the chicken that was packed separately which I appreciate it because it would've made the chicken soggy. The hot and sour soup is amazing. We did the Szechuan meal for three which included a lot of food and after tip only paid about $60 with a special we got from door Dash. Really outstanding food highly recommend! read more

Me and husband decided to order this place off of Uber eats and decided to give them a try due to our favorite Chinese food place not being on there. Anyways, the food was mediocre... my husband had ordered some orange chicken and y'all when I tell you it was NOT GOOD it was NOT GOOD. It was soggy and the sauce they used was not no orange chicken type of sauce mind you my husband always finishes his orange chicken so that says a lot in its self. For myself I got the teriyaki chicken and chicken wings... Now the teriyaki chicken was not my cup of tea, it's the sauce they used that made me dislike it so much (also they put entirely too much sauce). The fried rice was meh. Now lastly my chicken wings were good the 2 cons were I wish they hadn't put so much sauce in the bottom of the container and it would've been nice if the chicken was more juicy and not so dry. Went here for my anniversary dinner, and it was terrible food. The food was overcooked, the egg rolls were burnt the chicken was very dried out and the shrimp was over cooked as well. My husband ordered coffee and it was instant and like they put in several spoons full of instant coffee into the cup cause if was very pungent. I was really unimpressed by our recent visit here. Service was dreadfully slow. I ordered fried rice without onions and it came full of green onions. I cannot stand onions and there's no faster way to make me hate a restaurant than by putting onions in my food when I order it without onions. It took forever to pick all of these onions out of the rice. The rice itself was just ok. The only thing at our table that was good was the orange chicken and I only got a tiny piece of it. Sunday evening we decided to try this location due to our favorite Chinese restaurant Yi's closed. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. When we called in the order the worker treated us as if we were inconveniencing her by placing an order at their establishment. She was rude and kept cutting us off, she also would not let us make a substitution. We ordered two meals (large portion to have leftover), which both should have both came with sides of rice. Once we got home we realized the portion size was not the size listed online and we only received one small thing of rice. Which the chicken literally tasted and looked like Tyson chicken tossed in sauce. Needless to say we paid $40, which was overpriced for something we could have went to Panda Express and received better service, food portions and pricing. Definitely will not be going back and will continue to look for a replacement for Chinese food. If you're an establishment that relies on customers for your business to stay afloat you would think polite customer service would be a priority. read more

This is hands down my favorite Chinese restaurant. I've been coming here since I was a little girl. The decor still remains the same as far as I can remember. I typically always order the same: crab puffs, egg drop soup, a chow mein of some sort, and OF COURSE, the flamingo special chicken (which is to die for!) And you have to try the spicy mustard, but word of caution: it is spicy! I have tried Chinese restaurants all over the valley, but continually find myself craving and making the trek from North Scottsdale just to enjoy the some of my favorites. read more

Yikes!! This place was sadly such a disappointment. We spent $47 on Fried Rice, Eggrolls, Sweet and Sour Pork (more like pork rocks) and Beef Skewers. The 2 stars is because the Beef Skewers were actually pretty tasty. They were tender and flavorful. The Pork was so overcooked it was hard as a rock. I'm not even kidding. I didn't dare eat it for fear of chipping a tooth! The egg rolls were insanely mushy. I actually questioned my husband if they were filled with mashed potatoes. I almost wish they would have been. And sadly, this is the first place I've ever had crunchy fried rice. Like, not soft and fluffy at all, it was the craziest thing. We've been endeavoring to support independent restaurants during the pandemic. About 2 months ago we ordered food here it was good and plentiful; enough for two people with leftovers. Yesterday we ordered delivery, and what a difference in quality and quantity. Ordered about the same as last time and the portions had shrunk dramatically: 2 spring rolls for $3.50. They were tasty, but tiny. You can get a spring roll at QT 4 times the size for .99c. Main course was a seafood Lo Mein; it had 3 shrimp, 4 scallops and a few pieces of vegetable, the rest was noodles. Hardly enough for one person, let alone 2 with left overs. When finished the plate was swimming with oil. What a difference 2 months makes. The food wasn't very hot, but that could've been a Doordash problem. read more

Horrible experience! I was told the wait time for the food I called in would be 20-25 minutes. I ended up waiting almost an HOUR in the waiting room when I arrived, where they didn't follow any social distancing guidelines, etc. When I got home I realized they shorted me the side rice as well as the brown rice I ordered. The portions were tiny, and the food was mediocre at best. I can't believe I waited almost an hour for mediocre food, a shortened order, and a restaurant that followed no social distancing guidelines. This place needs to pick up their game , be honest about wait times, double check their orders, and offer larger size portions with better quality ingredients. read more
