Crab puffs
Greg H.

Well on the plus side they gave me a lot more shrimp than I got at Angry Crab Shack with my shrimp and lobster sauce. Other than that well they really want to learn how to cook vegetables. My green and red peppers which I always look forward to because of my omega-3 needs we're ripe and raw. I always hope that whatever preparing my food will fully prepare it and was I'll just use the word disappointed to find out that that wasn't the case here. The shrimp was at least cooked I hope. I guess we'll find out over the next few days. Anyway, skip this place have no fun to make good food. Correction, they have no clue how to cook good food.

Shrimp & Vegetables Lunch Special

Just had a delicious lunch with my gf here! Their lunch specials are great! It includes a cup of soup, wontons, an egg roll & your entree!! I had the Shrimp & Vegetables, very flavorful and the staff are friendly. Great decor too! Highly recommend if you're craving good Chinese food!

House Lo Mein, Egg Fried Rice, and General Tso's Chicken with complimentary Jasmine tea

We loved it here, friendly and helpful staff, great portions and complimentary jasmine tea. The interior is nice and we didn't need a reservation for a Sunday night. We enjoyed the House Lo Mein with chicken, shrimp and substituted pork for beef, enjoyed the General Tso's Chicken, and Egg Fried Rice.

We visited Flamingo Palace during lunch last Thursday. It was pretty busy and apparently they only had one server for all the tables. She did great but it did take a while for us to order. Once we ordered our food came out quickly. It was a pretty big portion for the lunch special - good flavor. If you are in a rush I would recommend a different spot but if you have the time it's a solid Chinese spot!

I really wanted to like this place because the menu looked good and the prices seemed fair online. When we entered, it was super busy so my hopes were high. The decor is dated, but I don't care about that as long as the seat is comfortable which it was. We ordered Crab Puffs for appetizer, and then shared the Chicken Fried Rice, Lemon Chicken and General Tso's Chicken. The crab puffs were decent but the sauces that came with them were watery and lacked flavor. Our entrees arrived promptly and looked tasty. They weren't. The lemon chicken didn't taste like any lemon chicken I've ever had before and the General Tso's was WAY too salty and wasn't spicy at all. If it wasn't for the salt, it wouldn't have had any flavor at all. The chicken fried rice was the only truly enjoyable part. I would never go here again and only give it two stars because the waitstaff was attentive and very courteous. I also liked that the takeaway bag is a small reusable tote and I appreciate the attempt at sustainability. Additionally, I was really surprised to see that I was charged $3 extra because I requested red bell peppers to be added to my General Tso's Chicken. I didn't really care, but was definitely surprised by the added charge.

Haven't eaten Chinese food in 20 years. Always felt sluggish afterwards. Not Yesterday. Ate Lu ch from 2-3:30. My good friend Vaughn had many things to catch up on. My Prayer before we ate was that my growth as a Christian Convert these past 5 years as been Due to a few mentors who have stepped into my life! 5.2 yrs ago I converted from Judaism . The service today was Totally Awesome, No request was left to chance. Our Soup came first. Than the Pu-Pu Platter. Very delicious

I honestly have seen it tucked into the corner and have never been. Craving Chinese food with actual sit down service. ( not take out). Walked in and was welcomed and seated at a booth. The place is spotless!! It smelled so good . Our server was great. Attentive and we ordered beer and a MaiTai. Delicious. Can really taste the rum. ( a great thing) Husband got Scallops and Shrimp in Szechuan sauce. I ordered Singapore rice noodles. We started with spring rolls. Everything was delicious. Hot and made to order. Can't wait to return!!

General Tso Chicken

Quick service but then not much attention once seated. White rice was so wonderful and flavorful and perfect! Food was good but textures were off. General Tso chicken was not spicy and breading was soft but flavor was good. Pork Fried rice was also good but kind of greasy texture. Tea is complimentary. Environment is comfortable. Good price and comparable to the area. To go bagging is sturdy. Will try them again if in the area.

It's probably the fanciest Chinese restaurant I've been to in AZ. The lunch menu is excellent and quite impressive! There are 8 entrees to choose along with a side for only $20. What's crazy is that a full size seafood and wagyu beef belly jjampong is a side! They're regularly $24 so it's a crazy deal to get an additional entree!! We ordered seafood jjampong and wagyu beef jjampong as sides and genghis khan beef and chili garlic fried chicken as mains. The jjampong had that great umami taste without the oiliness that's unavoidable at other restaurants. The ingredients felt very premium and fresh. Ghengis khan beef pieces were very generous and tender with a savory sauce. Chili garlic chicken was a tad salty for me but had great crisp. Service was impeccable and one you'd expect from an upscale restaurant. I can't wait to go back to try other dishes from the lunch menu. I also want to try their happy hour that's available everyday from 4-7PM. All the food items are only $7 and variety looks amazing.

They come with your entree, soup, chow mein, rice, a crab ragoon, and an egg roll. I ordered the Kung Pao Shrimp and it was delicious. It had a slight kick, bit it wasn't too spicy. The shrimp was cooker perfectly, mot rubbery. My favorite was the egg drop soup, it had tofu in it and it was addictive. I definitely recommend checking George and Sons out!

To be clear, I am a New Yorker and know good fast Chinese food. The ambiance was promising. It looked like I was finally going to find what I've been looking for in Phoenix for years. For whatever reason, Chinese restaurants in Arizona serve egg hockey pucks and cover it with various items and call it egg foo young. I even asked about it before I ordered it. Alas when I got home and saw what I had, I was disappointed. It's faster to make it this way but the egg hockey puck had no taste - zero. They could have at least added oyster sauce, a little soy sauce, maybe nam plah, and perhaps sesame oil. It was tasteless. A complete miss. I also ordered something simple, shrimp spring rolls. They were delicious! I inhaled them and will order them again. I'd go again just for the spring rolls. Maybe they have other dishes that are good and I may not entirely give up but the egg foo young is a no go.

Gotta support local when you can I say! The menu is pretty basic and has all your typical options for Americanized Chinese food. Wanting to get something that had noodles in it, I opted for the combination #1 which has chow mein crispy noodles, pork fried rice, and two tempura shrimp. Quite a lot of food and for a very reasonable price! I think the combo was around $10. If you are a fan of bean sprouts, this is your place. The chow mein had a massive pile of beansprouts on top. The noodles were indeed crispy but they was such a meager portion compared to the beansprouts. The fried rice was pretty basic but also a generous portion and the two tempura shrimp had a nice crispy batter. I tried some of the eggroll too which is one of the most unique versions I've had since the super crispy outer layer was either a different preparation or different wrap material than I'm used to. The interior was made primarily of beansprouts too. Service was good. Our food was prepared fairly quickly.

It's a small plate type of restaurant and we tried 5 different ones: 1-egg noodles with pork belly...delicious!!! I would love to have a bag of these and just eat them like chips while watching TV...LOL! 3-stir-fry bok choy with tofu in a garlicky sauce...one of our biggest surprises of the evening! What a wonderful way to eat your greens, along with the most flavorful tofu I've ever had. (We actually ordered it twice.) 4-scallop crudo with garlic and lemon sauce...refreshing! I'm not a big scallop person, but these were so fresh and so good! 5-fried chicken with a sweet/savory dipping sauce...very good! The chicken came like wings, very crispy and juicy. Everything we had was incredible! Unfortunately, I'm allergic to curry and mango, so our choices were somewhat limited. I'm just glad we were able to find these dishes that were so awesome. The only downside is the parking. It's street parking, but there are a bunch of apartments all around, so the spots were very limited. There are some pay parking lots, but they're pretty far from the restaurant. Hubby drove around and did find a spot about a block and a half down a side street.
