You will get your standard Flame Broiler fare here. I like the people here but I have a big complaint. I love the "magic" sauce - honestly its why I like FB. Most of the other locations either set out the big pump so you can take what you need and fill the little to go cups - others have cups pre-filled, but sitting out so you can take what you need. Makes sense.. I imagine a mess with the whole self-service cup filling at the end of the day. At this place however, They hoard it. They keep it in the back and ask you how many you would like. Over time I have noticed that they even started to only fill the cups halfway - so if I asked for three before, now I have to ask for six. I've also noticed that the consistency of the sauce has gone from think to water like. I have a funny feeling the sauce might be a expense they are trying to cut. I understand it can be hard to manage expenses for a franchisee, but come on! THIS IS THE MAGIC SAUCE!! FREE THE SAUCE! I like this flame broiler. However it is small but has great service. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. Once you order, the folks will bring your food to your table instead of forcing you to get up and wonder back over after they shout out your name. The taste is the same as the rest of their locations. But being waited on made it so much nicer. It was also kewl that the guy who brought the food then went and got suaces for us as well. This place is hella durdies! The service was crap. The cashier had an attitude and couldn't get my order right. I sat at a table as I waited for my food. The surface of the table was sticky! Bah! 3 words: W...T..F...? The Good: Teriyaki bowls pretty much the same as any other Flame Broiler. Decent price, decent size and tasty with their "Magic Sauce." Flame Broiler is one of my top teriyaki bowl places. The Irvine location is pretty nice. Having worked at Samurai Harry's in my H.S. days, they were the best, but its too bad that they are gone now. The WTF???: This particular Flame Broiler was a joke. I felt like I was on MTV's boiling points or something. We were on our way to an Angels game and wanted to pick up something on the way. Here is where things went wrong. Called in to place a phone order. Lady answers with "Hello" Asked to place an order and she puts us on hold. We hold for 3 minutes and hang up. Try again and the line was busy for the next 10 minutes. Get to the store, with no order placed and there is the employee on the phone with her back to a couple customers waiting to place orders yapping away. She was on the phone for 2 minutes like that. Then she was scrambling doing everything herself, taking orders, cooking food and packaging it. Is she the only one there??? 3 minutes later another employee comes out from the back texting on his cell phone. Stands at the register finishing his text and then greets the customers. After taking the orders the guy goes back to texting and not helping expedite the orders. He then places a phone call, talks on the phone while packaging orders. WTF??? To make things worse, people who placed their orders after us, got their food before, and we ordered the same things. The place was dingy as can be, where I felt like if I touched anything, I was going to get dysentery. Good thing the food tasted ok and I did have any stomach issues...yet. Food is pretty good, but if you are going to come, come in a good mood and prepared to see monkeys with no common sense running the place. OKay, so I like the Flame Broiler pretty well.. it's a good affordable somewhat healthy deal. However, I am not really a fan of this location. It's a bit cramped and small. And the condiments aren't out, you have to ask them for everything. It's better to go. read more

First time trying it here and disappointed to my order..The chicken meat was not freshly cooked it was hard and taste old.they just add more sauce and heated up on grill so you won't notice but once you eat it,it's hard meat like you heat it in the microwave and taste old.Iv been in flame broiler some places but never experience this before.i will never come back to this place anymore! read more

Another Failure! So my wife and I walk in @ about 5:00pm on Friday, June 5th. I give the time and date so hopefully the manager can take note of who was working and deal with them appropriately. I think firing is a good place to start. So we walk in and the young man behind the counter is on his cell phone. Just chatting with a friend. A little over a minute goes by...he doesn't even acknowledge us. Finally he hangs up his phone and turns to us. Says NOTHING. Just looks at my wife. Needless to say, we walked out. This type of lousy service is right in line with ALL the other reviews. So, we will NEVER go back to this store. Instead, we went over to the store on 17th street. Excellent service there. The Flame Broiler on Chapman in Orange is horrible. Don't give them your business. Let them go out of business. Open up the space for a quality establishment. read more

This is my favorite flame broiler. The owner Chriis is an energetic man with a boisterous laugh. Its clean and well managed.

I almost passed it because it pretty small but food came out fast and great customer service very friendly. Food was really good!

I have come here a couple of times after a gym workout. They are not very busy and get my order right every time. I get the brown rice, white chicken breast combo with onions and veggies. Best part is they give police officers and military discount with Id, even though it's only 10% it still a nice gesture. read more

I used to have an obsession with Flame Broiler, until I went to this location. I REALLY wish management would look at the reviews on here and make some changes because it really stands out badly from all the other locations in the area. And it sucks cuz it's literally steps away from my house. Service- TERRIBLE. The cashiers always look pissed and aren't nice AT ALL. That alone makes me not want to go there. Food- The meat is always dry and the portions do seem smaller than at the other locations. Although a little pricier, i'd rather go to Fuji Grill down the street, always delicious. read more

This place is under new management now. I know years ago, I did agree with their lower star rating, but the new owners have really flipped it around. I get great service every time i come and the new "five star rewards" program is pretty cool! I've been coming here for over 2 years. They always provided the best customer service. They go well beyond taking your money by asking how you are doing and engage with a positive and very friendly tone. The food is always fresh and their store is always clean. They also give a 10% discount to police and fire department. Unfortunately, I am neither but the price is right nonetheless. read more

I had to give this Flame Broiler a one star because I could not give it a zero rating. This is by far, the WORST Flame Broiller I have ever been to. The floors were dirty. The tables were dirty. The condiments area was dirty. Despite all of that, we still gave them a try. The cashier ( a large older guy) tried to upcharge us and it took two trys for him to give us our correct balance because we were using a coupon. To top it off, the magic sauce is rationed and our bowls were not even full to the top! I will never return to this location. There are not many flame broilers with good service and attention to detail to the order. I have a large family where each person likes their food a different way. They nailed the order perfect. STINGY! Only 1 broccoli in my veggies. The meat is dry, prolly coz it's been on the heat for so long since they only give you half of what you paid for. The owner has an attitude. I have been coming here for years. Unfortunately they seem to have lost interest in the fresh off the grill model. Last few times I have come in, there was no meat being cooked. It was all pre-made. I thought it was just my bad timing but after three chances and today literally choking on my chicken because it was so dry, I have no choice but to say what happened? Same owner.
