The rating is for this franchise specifically. Flame broiler over all I'm a huge fan in fact we get it regularly. Not here again. Other day I placed a phone order, verified they take cards, yes they do. Got there waited in a ten min line, for what reason I'm not sure. That being said got up there. Gave my name she grabbed my bag and then the fun started. She ran my card. It's not working. Well there's no reason it shouldn't. She overly irritated ran it again. Then starts yelling at me. You have cash? No can you try to use the card. She ran it again then while facing me yells at the guy behind her it's broken again call them it's broken (still yelling directly at me while attempting to yell at guy in the kitchen) the yelling continued until I suggest rebooting card reader she says hold on then starts taking people behind me. Saying there's a line. Well yeah there's a line I just waited in a long line to get to register to get my food I understand how that works. Then she's back to helping me. Still yelling towards me at the guy in back. She runs card again and again and again saying we have to reboot it. "It happens all the time" (still running my card) "I don't remember what buttons to push" again runs my card. Then walks off starts helping another person again. Then yells at me why don't you have cash??? I looked at her and said because you said I could use a card. I don't carry cash. Soo at this point literally over 20 min in with her admitting that the machine doesn't work right, she says hold on, runs card again and again and again then starts writing my card number down. I say stop-what are you doing? She says writing your card down I said I don't want you to write my card down she said why it's no problem. I said yes it is a problem, I've had multiple problems with skimming plus why not ask before assuming it's ok. Can you attempt to fix the reader where again she starts yelling at the guy again while facing me. Then runs my card again with my protest. Then she looks at me says you have cash?? (Because yes I suddenly developed cash while standing here) I say again I don't have cash. Then she says I don't know. Took my food set it in kitchen and says next. Next?? Really?? Seriously?? 20+ min in and you dismiss me?? Best part about it? card did go through multiple times. Chase deactivated my card for fraud. So now no food over half an hour wasted and now no card and her being beyond irritated and rude the whole time? Then two days later when I saw the charge called the bank they put an investigation on it and she said that I did get my food and am trying to basically get a free meal? No I'm not going to go to all this trouble for two bowls get real. Thanks so much for wasting my time, having to wait for a new card, having to go in to the bank to get cash since I have no card now. For future reference- a customer that is attempting to pay and your equipment isn't working? Comp the 2 bowls for their inconvenience of waiting over 20 min and wasting their time, especially when they phone ordered to save time. I won't be back to this one. Sad as I like flame broiler. The owner lady needs customer service lessons. Sometimes it's Profitable to your business to NOT scream in your customers face, or at your staff for that matter, treat your customers like you want them to come back. I loved flame broiler, would eat lunch there everyday But I can say Adriana the woman at the register has definitely changed my mind She has some of the worst costumer service I have ever encountered and the way they where playing around in the kitchen I wouldn't be surprised if the food is dirty too Adriana was rude from the moment I walked in she is sarcastic and just nasty and to top it off she only would allow me one magic sauce after I spent $15 if I could give this place a -4 I would Definitely avoid this place if you can!!! read more

I go here often, and always get the same thing. This past visit they got my order wrong and I didn't notice until I got back to work. When I called to get the issue corrected they were unbelievably rude! Not only did they argue with me on what I ordered but the way the girl responded was very unprofessional. She would rather argue instead of correcting the problem, and this upset me more than the original mistake. When I asked to speak to someone who can help me (supervisor) the girl told me she will give me his number, uhhh why would I need to call your supervisor on his personal phone? Healthiest fast food I've ever found. Portions were good sized and the meal came with half an orange. The orange was delicious and fresh and quite a nice extra. It was the same deal they have offered, but apparently, this coupon was from another advertisement that they do not use, so they did not accept it. Always got good bowls here! The meat portions are always on point! They never skimp on it or anything. Service is always nice and prompt too. Way better than many other flame broiler locations I've been to including the one on Lincoln. A good bowl is supposed to have the entire surface covered with meat so that you can barely see what's underneath. If there are patches of missing meat where you can see the rice or veggies underneath, then you've been jipped. Good thing I've never had to worry about that at this location! But beware: if you ever go to Irvine you're sure to have a really terrible bowl. I suggest going outside of Irvine if you want flame broiler. read more

We absolutely love flame broiler. We aren't able to eat it as much as we would like as we are a large family and it is a bit expensive. Tonight we ordered four bowls and they were all fresh and delicious!! Meat is flavorful and delicious, vegetables are fresh and crisp, and rice is perfectly cooked. I stopped here last night, intending only to get some marginally healthy, somewhat edible, food to take home with me after being up and working for almost 24 straight hours. Just wanted a quiet uneventful night. After ordering my food and paying, I made my way to an empty part of the restaurant and quietly waited for my number to be called. I'm sorry that it was. When LIz *remember this name* called my number, I excitedly walked to the counter to get my bag and be on my merry way. I asked Liz for one of their pre-prepared bag of sauces, because honestly I was too tired to go pour my own. These bags of sauce are available for all takeout orders. When I was in here the last time, the sweet gal that was working (I didn't get her name, but she was an angel in comparison), kindly insisted that I take this bagged pot pourri rather than having to waste the time in doing it myself. So I kindly asked Liz for a similar bag. After huffing and puffing, stomping her feet, and (wait for it) rolling her eyes, Liz ever so kindly replied "well, what exactly do you want?" Oh I'm sorry, Liz, I didn't realize taking those few extra steps would be so difficult and tiresome for you. Mea culpa. So, naturally, I collected my things, said "that's quite alright, I will get them myself" and walked away without so much as even a second glance from Liz. (For the record, no, it was not difficult to pour the sauce myself, but why have a courtesy if you're not going to offer it to your customers????) Well, Liz, may I make a suggestion? If working at a Flame Broiler on a Friday night is NOT what you want to be doing with your life, then you should probably start looking for employment elsewhere. Perhaps somewhere you DON'T need to interact with other humans. Manager here is the worst, so what can u expect of the employees ? Thankfully they do have 2 afternoon employees nicer but went in at noon today, the cashier was the manager. She was extremely rude, messed up my order 3times and each time she repeated she said it wrong as well. She had no common sense to correct every time she will read it wrong. Honestly, this place is just okay. While the food is 'healthy' there is hardly much variety other than beef, chicken, and rice and some veggies. I found the chicken veggie bowl to be rather flavorless and was extremely overcharged for the amount of food received. I realize the portions are supposed to be a healthier choice, but come on...I know rice and a few ounces of meat does not cost $7. The place was clean, but coming from a broke college student, I'd rather buy groceries and make the food myself than pay this much again for flavorless food. I had been coming here for years, but the management here has really taken this place down hill. The rice if often inconsistent, sometimes to the point of being hard. The same with their meat. However, it's their lies and false advertising that has lost me as a customer. They advertise in Flavor magazine, which in this day and age, had an internet presence. On there they have their coupon of a free mini bowl with a purchase of a regular bowl and 2 drinks, which probably results in a discount of a couple of dollars overall. Anyway, there is the option to redeem the coupon on your phone (as is the new standard). I go there, show them my phone and they told me I had to print out the coupon. I of course tell them it says nothing of the sort, and it clearly has the option to redeem on the phone. They call the manager/owner, (Shaida), who adamantly refuses to accept the coupon. I felt bad for the employees because they were acting as the middle man in all this with Shaida and me. She said basically said there should be no internet coupon, and would not budge. So if you go there, BEWARE OF THE LIES, AS THEY MAY NOT ACCEPT THE COUPONS THEY ADVERTISE!!! Way to go, Shaida, losing a customer because of your mistake, and over just a few bucks. I think she owns a couple of other Flame Broilers also, so I ma definitely boycotting those as well. read more
