I go here often, and always get the same thing. This past visit they got my order wrong and I didn't notice until I got back to work. When I called to get the issue corrected they were unbelievably rude! Not only did they argue with me on what I ordered but the way the girl responded was very unprofessional. She would rather argue instead of correcting the problem, and this upset me more than the original mistake. When I asked to speak to someone who can help me (supervisor) the girl told me she will give me his number, uhhh why would I need to call your supervisor on his personal phone? In the sea of fast food joints in Corona, I was in dire need for a better, healthier alternative. The Asian fast food chains in the area were pretty greasy and never offer healthy items on the menu, including brown rice. The Flame Broiler definitely has become my go-to fast food place whenever I something quick and healthy. I always order the mini-bowls as the size is just right-- I never feel full or bloated at the end of the meal. The chicken veggie is a great meal-- moist charbroiled meat with plenty of delicious steamed veggies (carrots, broccoli, and cabbage). I love that you can substitute with all-white meat and brown rice. Don't be weary of the cabbage-- it's actually a good compliment to the meat and rice. Don't forget to say "yes" to the green onions on top. It adds a nice, subtle kick of flavor. Add in their hot magic sauce and the medley of flavors make you forget that you're eating healthy. The beef veggie bowl is quite nice too. The meat is marinated with subtle sweetness and saltiness but sometimes it's a bit overcooked (just depends on who's watching the grill that day). Healthiest fast food I've ever found. Portions were good sized and the meal came with half an orange. The orange was delicious and fresh and quite a nice extra. Always got good bowls here! The meat portions are always on point! They never skimp on it or anything. Service is always nice and prompt too. Way better than many other flame broiler locations I've been to including the one on Lincoln. A good bowl is supposed to have the entire surface covered with meat so that you can barely see what's underneath. If there are patches of missing meat where you can see the rice or veggies underneath, then you've been jipped. Good thing I've never had to worry about that at this location! But beware: if you ever go to Irvine you're sure to have a really terrible bowl. I suggest going outside of Irvine if you want flame broiler. read more

We absolutely love flame broiler. We aren't able to eat it as much as we would like as we are a large family and it is a bit expensive. Tonight we ordered four bowls and they were all fresh and delicious!! Meat is flavorful and delicious, vegetables are fresh and crisp, and rice is perfectly cooked. I'm dropping my review down 1 notch because they wouldn't accept a coupon that I tried to use the other day. It was the same deal they have offered, but apparently, this coupon was from another advertisement that they do not use, so they did not accept it. They said the coupon was produced by a different flame broiler in Corona. I think they should specify in their coupons if it is only good at a certain location. read more

Manager here is the worst, so what can u expect of the employees ? Thankfully they do have 2 afternoon employees nicer but went in at noon today, the cashier was the manager. She was extremely rude, messed up my order 3times and each time she repeated she said it wrong as well. She had no common sense to correct every time she will read it wrong. I stopped here last night, intending only to get some marginally healthy, somewhat edible, food to take home with me after being up and working for almost 24 straight hours. Just wanted a quiet uneventful night. After ordering my food and paying, I made my way to an empty part of the restaurant and quietly waited for my number to be called. I'm sorry that it was. When LIz *remember this name* called my number, I excitedly walked to the counter to get my bag and be on my merry way. I asked Liz for one of their pre-prepared bag of sauces, because honestly I was too tired to go pour my own. These bags of sauce are available for all takeout orders. When I was in here the last time, the sweet gal that was working (I didn't get her name, but she was an angel in comparison), kindly insisted that I take this bagged pot pourri rather than having to waste the time in doing it myself. So I kindly asked Liz for a similar bag. After huffing and puffing, stomping her feet, and (wait for it) rolling her eyes, Liz ever so kindly replied "well, what exactly do you want?" Oh I'm sorry, Liz, I didn't realize taking those few extra steps would be so difficult and tiresome for you. Mea culpa. So, naturally, I collected my things, said "that's quite alright, I will get them myself" and walked away without so much as even a second glance from Liz. (For the record, no, it was not difficult to pour the sauce myself, but why have a courtesy if you're not going to offer it to your customers????) Well, Liz, may I make a suggestion? If working at a Flame Broiler on a Friday night is NOT what you want to be doing with your life, then you should probably start looking for employment elsewhere. Honestly, this place is just okay. While the food is 'healthy' there is hardly much variety other than beef, chicken, and rice and some veggies. I found the chicken veggie bowl to be rather flavorless and was extremely overcharged for the amount of food received. I realize the portions are supposed to be a healthier choice, but come on...I know rice and a few ounces of meat does not cost $7. The place was clean, but coming from a broke college student, I'd rather buy groceries and make the food myself than pay this much again for flavorless food. I had been coming here for years, but the management here has really taken this place down hill. The rice if often inconsistent, sometimes to the point of being hard. The same with their meat. However, it's their lies and false advertising that has lost me as a customer. They advertise in Flavor magazine, which in this day and age, had an internet presence. On there they have their coupon of a free mini bowl with a purchase of a regular bowl and 2 drinks, which probably results in a discount of a couple of dollars overall. Anyway, there is the option to redeem the coupon on your phone (as is the new standard). I go there, show them my phone and they told me I had to print out the coupon. I of course tell them it says nothing of the sort, and it clearly has the option to redeem on the phone. They call the manager/owner, (Shaida), who adamantly refuses to accept the coupon. I felt bad for the employees because they were acting as the middle man in all this with Shaida and me. She said basically said there should be no internet coupon, and would not budge. So if you go there, BEWARE OF THE LIES, AS THEY MAY NOT ACCEPT THE COUPONS THEY ADVERTISE!!! Way to go, Shaida, losing a customer because of your mistake, and over just a few bucks. I think she owns a couple of other Flame Broilers also, so I ma definitely boycotting those as well. read more
