First time ordering here today, got a sausage burrito with avocado & a slice of banana bread. Coworkers got burritos too. Everything was to go. Avocado is $4 extra. They gave me 2 little slices and as soon as I bit into it, I realized it was stringy and gross. You know, those avocados with the weird texture?? YES. It is unacceptable to charge this much only to have it look like this. I tried to power through, but It completely ruined my burrito! It also ruined the entire experience. I've had better burritos elsewhere. Banana bread was super dry! Flake, please do better. This was not a mistake, this was deliberate and someone made the conscious decision to use this horrible avocado on a paying customers order. We just finished running the 5k Venice SM run, and wanted a quick and yummy bite for breakfast. We found parking on the street easily, ordered at the front and got seated at one of the tables along the street. We had a dog in our company and the seating was definitely dog friendly- casual and chill. We ordered breakfast burritos. The order was called out by a server and we went to get our brown paper bags with our food. Turkey sausage burrito was what I had and it was quite good. It tasted like they used Kraft American cheese slices and I personally liked it more because it gave me nostalgia. So with the big picturesque mural that showcases the "House of the Cro-Jo", I knew I needed to try this place! I ordered the Super Cro-Jo which is a breakfast sandwich that has scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, smoked gouda cheese, greens, tomato and a secret sauce on a toasted croissant. I know everywhere you go every place has their own secret sauce, but this one is uniquely yummy because it has a slight kick of spice that hits you as you are completing the end of your bite. Why is it called a Super Cro-Jo? I'm not quite sure, but after I finished this breakfast sandwich I was SUPER JOnesing for this CROissant sandwich again! The reason why I gave it 4 stars is because their burritos were missing something, maybe it was a little kick or some crispy hash browns but I was hoping for something and I just didn't get it. Stopping by, I was surprised but also not surprised by how many people lined up for this spot! I ordered online and it said it only took 14 mins in preparation for my order, so I thought there would not be that many people? There's only a few outdoor tables by the side of this shop as well, but this is definitely something you would just grab and go for easy bites. It seemed like the acai bowl was a very popular choice here, so I really wanted to try that! It was just a pretty standard acai bowl, really simple, and the acai was really frozen so it was kind of difficult to eat through. I did like how they had a good amount granola cause I do enjoy the granola more haha. My bf also ordered the bacon breakfast burrito but he was really disappointed with it. We also splitted 'The Fatty' and that one was actually the most tasteful one. It was still okay, but it was definitely better compared to the selection we had. I have been here before for breakfast burritos during covid, but returned in my recent visit to LA this past week. Ordered the big breakfast burrito with rice, beans, pico de gallo, and all the stops that you expect in a burrito. We also got a breakfast sandwich with bacon, egg, and cheese. Lastly, we shared (among 4 people) an acai bowl! One pro tip is to order online! I didn't think to do so given this restaurant is more like a shack, but it saved quite a bit of time in the end. Parking is iffy in this location just because the streets are narrow and lots of things going on around the shops nearby. We were lucky to grab a parking right across the street so we just ran over to pick up the food. While here, my cousin ended up getting a cold brew with oat milk, which totaled to almost $6! Crazy! The food was overall quite flavorful as I recalled the previous time. I believe I had the basic sausage egg and cheese the last time I came and really enjoyed it but this time the burrito was more like a classic burrito over a breakfast burrito. The acai bowl was also delicious, but a bit frozen tasting even after sitting out for close to 30 minutes. I would stick to my previous rating given this wonderful follow-up experience. An eclectic collection of chairs are set up around the corner eatery. Be sure to clear out as soon as you're done eating because it can get busy. We tried the bacon breakfast burrito and the banana açaí bowl. The burrito was really good and hit the spot for me. It didn't contain any hashbrowns or potatoes but it did have a ton of eggs and cheese. Make sure to request hot sauce packets (chalula or tapatio) at the pick up window. Cute little neighborhood spot in Venice. We had breakfast, but they serve lunch as well. Our breakfast was so good! The quiche was some of the best my wife has had. She loves ordering quiche at any place that serves it, so she has a big sample size for comparison. I tried it and loved it as well. I went with the Super CroJo, because it's their specialty. It did not disappoint! Croissant was both flaky and savory. I added avocado and had the special sauce on the side. The special sauce had great flavor, but it was too spicy for my taste. Mind you, I can't handle any hint of heat, so it's probably not very spicy at all. My wife enjoyed it with her salad. Organic coffee was fantastic. A very good breakfast for under $30! Location is great. Pretty close to the beach, about a 10 minute walk to the beach. They have limited seating, so that probably makes dining in tough when they are busy. This morning most of the tables were full, but they were also turning over pretty rapidly. I'd recommend this place if you're visiting Venice Beach. Woww I've been waiting to find the perfect croissant breakfast sandwich & I finally have found it!! This place is a small corner breakfast shop. You wait in line and order at a window then the food comes out of a little window on the side of the building. They have some outdoor tables, but my personal favorite is taking it to-go and enjoying the food on the beach. I loved the oat milk latte with The Rad on a croissant. Place your order at the counter then grab a seat; indoors or out. The cafe is pretty cozy, or in other words, not big so I don't recommend large parties. I ordered a the Turkey Sausage Burrito; Niki, the Fancy Turkey. I really enjoyed the burrito as the eggs were fluffy and even mixed with the sausage - not greasy. I really enjoyed it as it simple, and mixed well with the salsa (see pic). The staff was very friendly and helpful - pretty efficient too.
