We came on a Friday evening, tired and hungry, so waiting for food wasn't something we wanted. But wait we did. However, when we eventually got our food, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the burger patty, and the grilled cheese accompaniment to the tomato bisque (especially since they said there was no more of the chili I ordered). The staff came over several times to check in which was appreciated. The food and service saved the experience for us! Prices were also reasonable. They have outdoor seating as well, which is where most people chose. If they were a more well-run establishment they could take this to the next level. Parking is around the corner of the Characters restaurant and seems to be plentiful.

This is clearly a locals spot and I wish it was local to me, I'd be here all the time. If you're in the area or visiting it, this is the spot to hit! Just note that there's a lot of little upcharges such as extra for more tomato on the burger or sweet potato fries.

I suggest you head towards the houses, away from town, if you can't find a spot. I've been anxious to try this place as the pictures look solid enough and reviewers thus far seem content. My wife and I entered with plans to have beer and apps. We ended up getting Guinness, onion rings, fried calamari and the Cooper's Burger. You can't beat a 22oz Guinness for $8. They charge extra for all sorts of stuff you can get on top - fried mushrooms, fried onions, eggs, etc. It also comes with fries, which were good. Overall, it was a nice cozy time. Several middle aged couples ate here that night and a couple small groups. No loud bar crowds as they're all on central avenue. In fact, I was surprised how nice the acoustics were inside. You can hear people at your table no problem, can hear the music inside at the right level and don't hear a lot of background chatter or noise. I'd most certainly return if in the mood for pub food. And ... No credit card fee!
