I have owned several BaclkBerries and have never had a problem. This past week however, some suncreen spray sprayed all over my 3 month old BlackBerry Bold 9930 and it got under the screen. I had quite a rare problem with my 9900(bluetooth, power on/off freeze, music/video playback freeze) so i don't blame Tony for not being able to fix it. But the fact that he tried to take me for a walk in the park wasnt cool at all. Wanted to charge me $79 for something i could have done myself. Ive had my fair share of bull in life so i know it when i smell it so i just told him i was give it to him easy, they did after all spend 4days "trying to fix" my phone. was about to pay him and he changed his mind(maybe he felt bad for wasting my time). I know he didn't know what he was doing cuz when initially i sent my phone in and told him the symptoms, he didn't even write any of the symptoms down! so after the thanksgiving weekend when he said it was repaired, i was doubtful. so i went in again to find out that they problem was still there(duh, obviously! he didnt even remember the problems i was having with my phone) So this time he wrote it down. and after another few more days, he told me he couldnt fix the phone(Surprise surprise!) So when he told me its gonna cost me $79, i didn't wanna listen to his "fantastic journey" of going through great pains to fix my phone so i just told him ok i'm gonna give it to you easy cuz obviously if he did go to great lengths, it would have been fixed. I think he knows that i know so he decided not to accept my money even though i insisted cuz i wanted to actually pay him for his effort in weaving stories plus he was telling everyone that his wife has cancer and how he has to travel hours from long island bla bla bla........i wouldnt go around sharing my tragic stories unless it was a close friend....that just tells u alot about him already doesnt it? I have a black berry 9950, and for few weeks my battery had been frustrating me. I was charging to 100% and it would last around an hour before needing to be put back on charge. I traveled to NY from NJ for repair service for 2 blackberry curves on Sunday to the address listed on the website. Hours of operation for Sunday stated 12noon to 5p. I was really excited about the same day service offer and I waited from 12-12:30 and NO ONE SHOWED UP. On the 4th floor, there are no business signs directing customers, just a locked glass door, security cameras and an intercom. There IS construction project going on with three guys cutting wood, spackling and framing. Repeatedly called the contact number and left a message.The security officer downstairs called and could not get a live person. I left and called again at 2:30-still no answer. I would not trust my blackberry repair here now because I do not believe this is a professional business.
