Had an ongoing PC issue that I was trying to avoid for months, not being tech savvy and fearing high costs. I sent a quote message to a bunch of computer services companies here on Yelp and TechForce was the quickest to answer, the most efficient and accommodating. The technician came over to install the part the company ordered for me, I was looking at a combined charge of parts+labor overall. After installing, the actual solution turned out to be simpler regardless of the new part. It was uninstalled with no charge, only paid for the home visit. First of all, let me start by saying that we're Apple people and that I'm pretty good at troubleshooting any issues that come up with our Macs. So I thought I'd give it shot when the PC side of my boyfriend's partitioned iMac started acting up and would no longer let him get on the internet. Insert extreme frustration and blank stare here. As well as a rant on my Facebook. So I called around with my recommendations from Yelp and decided on Rick at Simply Repair. He came over and worked on the computer for a bit, then decided that the problem required him to take the iMac with him to do more than just a simple virus cleaning. Fast forward to 24 hours later and we had a squeaky clean internet connecting computer again. All for only $99! He also says that he won't charge you if he can't fix it and has a great 90 day guarantee. I won't name names here - I'm sure the quality of their work is as good as their Yelp reviews state - but the other services I called had all these extra charges - like adding a service charge to what they were already charging you to look at your computer. Techforce did a great job. I wanted to run ethernet cable through my attic to wire 3 wireless access points. Rick and his team did a great job presenting solutions I hadn't thought of, provided a detailed quote for me to review, arrived on time and made sure to finish the project with everything configured and working great. They even covered up pieces of the furniture so that dust from the ceiling didn't get on the furniture. I had the misfortune recently of dumping a glass of scotch over my MacBook Pro. I was convinced that my little Mac was gone forever. My ancient, slower-than-a-turtle computer had a world of problems, such as numerous pop-ups, screen freezes, error messages galore and oh so much more. I am nearly computer illiterate and I was terrified because my computer is attached to my hip. Rick is as good as they come. More knowledgeable, more up-front, better follow through, more professional, and more reasonably priced than 95% of all computer technicians out there. You'd be hard pressed to find someone who is not only willing, but pleased to travel to you to resolve your computer problems. And he does all this with the best attitude and smile! I recommend him highly. He works on both PC's and Macs. I use Macs and he worked on all three of mine: MacBook, MacBook Pro, and the older PowerBook G4 with ease and finesse. Thanks Rick! Not only did he fix the problem I brought the computer in for (internet connectivity) but he also fixed the DVD player too! For only $75! By far the easiest and most convenient computer repair I've ever experienced. I just dropped it off yesterday and picked it up today. Rick is supremely competent as a computer technician. He'll take your malfunctioning box away for a day or two and return it to you as good as new. He's very easy to work with, communicates immediately and clearly, and goes to great trouble to keep his prices reasonable and transparent. I had him work on two PCs that I use for work. He quickly resolved all the problems I was having with them and got them back to working the way they did the day I bought them. On the more important machine, I asked him to install some new hardware, and then copy my system drive onto a newer, larger capacity SSD. He did this extra work exactly the way I wanted (I can be a little particular about things sometimes), all the while working around my schedule (I couldn't part with the machines for any longer than a weekend). He then surprised me with a bill that was less than what I expected. Rick is an absolute professional. If you have a machine in need of some TLC, this is the person to take it to. I just had my computer fixed by this guy. I am so pleased with the service that I actually created a yelp account just so I could leave this review. Here goes... I'm usually the person who fixes computers for my friends and family but when my laptop's screen went out I wasn't about to risk fixing it myself. I emailed Simply Repair and Rick told me exactly what to expect and how much it could be. I needed this done asap and I work all day so he picked up my laptop at 10pm on Friday (!). It was very nice of him to work with my schedule. It turned out that my screen was okay and it was just a cable so the total was much less than he quoted me for. He ordered a new cable, put it in and delivered my laptop the following Tues. It was a pleasant, trouble free experience. I guess you could say it was "simple". (Har har!)
