I was in need for a servicing on a pair of Technics SL-1210M5G Grandmaster Flash special edition turntables. My inquiry was responded to quickly and professionally. They offered to remove the grounds from them for me for a modest addition. I was taken aback because I never even thought I could remove something I hated as much as the ground . I've had them snag and a crate of records fall on me. Grounds are agents of chaos, i am quite certain... Anyways back to my review. I did the servicing and the add on for degrounding (is that a word? Dibs). I am incredibly happy with the end result. Quickly returned and buttery smooth. These decks are so smooth they could sell me a time share in phoenix, they glide. Will definitely call again when I need the chefs kiss touch for my tables .

Thank you Rob! Took my technics for repair. Thought I was going to need a new tonearm. He was honest and ended up fixing it so I did not need to replace it...saving me lots of money. Thank you! The real "Technics Whisperer"!

Bob was extremely helpful and quick to respond to my inquiry. Needed a quick tune up, pop up light replacement and have the ground wire converted on my SL1200. Dropped it off and had it back within a day! Would recommend to anyone who needs a turntable serviced.

Pioneer Mixer 850-K

When my Pioneer Mixer's effects knob went caput, I needed a good repair guy so I called a local guy in South Orange County and he couldn't give me a quote and said it would take up to 4-6 weeks to repair my mixer. Of course a DJ can't live that long without his most important piece of equipment so I started asking my friends. I heard about Bob at Street Sounds through a good DJ friend of mine. My friend gave him my info and Bob reached out through social media, we exchanged info, and Bob called me, instead of the other way around (amazing!). I had to drive 1.5 hours from Laguna Niguel to Beverly Hills to drop off my mixer. Bob was courteous, thoughtful and said he would call to let me know the issue and gave me an estimate. I received a call by the time I got home and he said he would have it fixed in a few days (great). About 24 hours later he called to say it was all done, ready to pick up!! LEGEND!! I was beyond impressed and wasn't even ready to pick up until a few days later. I happily drove back up to Beverly Hills and Bob had my mixer ready to go. I highly recommend any DJ or Sound person to call Bob and uses his services. If you're in LA awesome, but if you're in Orange County it's worth the drive to get the work done right by this amazing professional. I'll continue to go to Street Sounds for all my DJ gear repair needs!!

Bob is the man. I took my 2 near 20 year old 1200 mk2's in for a full overhaul and I couldn't be happier. Bob gave them both a full tune up, internally grounded both, replaced all the oem lights (half of which were burnt out) with really nice white LEDs and replaced the rca cable on one deck. They seriously play like butter now and with the internal grounding they have never sounded better. Honestly in my early years I didn't treat these as nice as I should have and they were crazy dirty, bob gave them back in white napkin condition, you could eat off of them! He's super fair, reasonably priced and a straight up dude. If you got decks that need some work, hit him up. He's not at the shop on Melrose anymore, just call him and he'll have you drop off at his house. Best call I've made in a while.

He's incredibly dependable - every time I reach out, he gets the problem fixed quickly and knows exactly what to do, or has a plan right away. What really stands out is how honest and fair he is. One time, instead of just charging me to install extra USBs - he suggested I get a USB hub, saving me money. Most recently, when my motherboard had issues, he recommended checking my warranty first instead of jumping into a costly replacement. He even got the replacement motherboard installed the same day it arrived because I needed my computer urgently for studying. Simon is incredibly knowledgeable, fair with pricing, and runs a solid, trustworthy business. I can't recommend him highly enough! Also a shout out to Negah! I had a charging issue with my iPhone and even though Simon wasn't there, his wife Negah was, and she was just as honest and helpful. Instead of charging me a lot or doing unnecessary repairs like other places might, she found it was just dirt in the port, cleaned it up, and only charged me $20.... The honesty and fairness at RepairGig is just unbeatable. I can't recommend them enough!

Horrible customer service…read more Sony referred me to Ashton Electronics to repair my Bravia TV, which is still under warranty. At first, everything seemed fine. They ordered and received the required replacement part within about a week. Unfortunately, that's when the problems began. Without first confirming my availability, Ashton emailed and texted me to say they would be coming to my home on a Sunday. I was unavailable and immediately told them not to schedule service for that day. While I understand some businesses operate on Sundays, I found it unprofessional to assign a home service appointment without first checking whether the customer was available. When I called on Monday to reschedule, I was told they had no afternoon appointments available that week. Because of my disability, my mornings are dedicated to personal care with my caregiver, so afternoon appointments are necessary. After I did not hear back from Ashton, I contacted the Sony Service Concierge assigned to my case. The concierge reached out to Ashton on my behalf. The next thing I knew, Ashton informed both the Sony Service Concierge and me that they had scheduled me for the following Sunday, again without asking whether I was available. When I called to explain that I could not make that appointment either, I was told they could not schedule anything for the following week until someone called me back on Monday. I have never dealt with a service company that was unable or unwilling to schedule appointments in advance. Most businesses can book appointments beyond the current week. Ashton Electronics apparently cannot. Based on my experience, their scheduling process is disorganized and unprofessional. Fortunately, Sony agreed that this was unacceptable and is now working to find another authorized repair provider to complete the warranty repair. I cannot recommend Ashton Electronics based on the customer service I received.

Mel and another employee did not properly diagnose my phone, yet they attempted to claim there were damages that I did not believe were present. When I questioned this, Mel argued with me and repeatedly insisted that she had explained what happened, when that was not my experience of the interaction. I was also uncomfortable with Mel repeatedly asking me to provide private information publicly. I made it clear multiple times that I wanted to protect my personal data and did not consent to discussing or providing sensitive information where others could hear it. I should not have had to repeatedly explain that I wanted my privacy respected. The entire interaction was embarrassing and unprofessional. If you work in the phone repair business, customers should be able to expect a proper diagnosis, clear communication, respect for their privacy, and basic courtesy. I am asking management to review the security camera footage from around 1:15 p.m. so they can see how this interaction was handled and evaluate the conduct of their employees for themselves. I hope management takes this complaint seriously and addresses both the customer-service and privacy concerns raised by this experience.

BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! PLEASE READ!!!! MUST…read moreREAD!!!! I have a 65 inch TV that went out and after trying some attempts, I researched on Google it would not come back on. It appeared that it may be the backlights.... I searched Google, found this place and reached out. He came immediately to my house to look at the TV ...I didn't know how this worked. I assumed that they opened up the TV at my house and took a look at it ...nonetheless he told me that he needed to take it into the shop. I then ask him. How are you going to get a 65 inch TV down to your work truck...He tells me that I can help him carry the TV down, that it's not that heavy! I am 59 years old with back issues. I do not work for this company nor should I be helping him carry a 65 inch TV down to his work truck... if you came to my house and you accepted the job why are you not prepared with assistance to take the TV down... that should've been the RED FLAG and I should have ask him to please leave my house. But instead, I call my son who lives in the same apartment complex as me, different apartment ...who happens to be off work this day..he comes down to help him carry the TV to his work truck. He's not happy about it at all because he also feels like why is he here to take the job if he can't get the TV to his truck? Why doesn't he have someone helping him? I don't work for him. He takes my TV to his shop. Has it for one week brings it back. I help him put it back on the wall. The TV works for two days and goes out again. I make a call to him to let him know that the TV has gone out after two days of having it back. I also let him know that I am not willing to pay more than the $300. I've already paid him to fix the TV ...because for a couple hundred dollars more I could buy a brand new TV. Arthur then tells me don't worry about it. It's all covered under the warranty! He comes back to my house for the second time and once again my son has to help him carry the TV downstairs. He has my TV for a few days and brings it back, asking where my son is to help him carry it upstairs. I told him that my son has a job and he does not work for him so at this point again I'm 59 years old with back issues and I have to go down to his van to help him carry the TV upstairs into my apartment upon putting the TV back up on the wall. I say to Arthur wait a minute ...this is a scratch on my TV, you scratched my TV!!!! Arthur's reply was come stand over here on this side. You can't even see the scratch. So according to him he picked up a TV that was not scratched, returned my TV scratched, but it should not matter because if I stand in a certain position in the room, the scratch is not noticeable. Unbelievable!!! At this point, this is where the arguing starts ...because I can't believe he has the audacity to tell me that it shouldn't matter. It's not a big deal.. if you stand in a certain position, you can't see the scratch. At this point, he says he wants to make it right! and give me a discount and is going to refund half of the $300 that I paid him to fix my TV...at this point I'm pissed off!!! and I just want him out of my house... so I ask him is he going to Zelle me the $150.00... he then says to me that he didn't say that (complete lie) that the additional part that he had to fix when he took the TV back the second time cost $150 and he's not charging me for that. So basically what he's telling me is that I paid him $300 to fix my TV. He brings it back two days later it's not working again. He takes it back brings it back with a scratch on it and I am supposed to just accept that! It gets better!!!! He then tells me that he can take the TV back a third time and fix the scratch on the screen, but it's going to cost me a lot of money. Oh, I forgot to tell you that when I immediately noticed the scratch and pointed it out to him his initial response was I don't know when the TV got scratched ...maybe when your son was helping me ...I stopped him in his tracks. Don't you dare try to put this on my son ...who should have not been helping you in the first place. So after telling me that he can take my TV back for the third time ....the TV he scratched he can fix the scratch, but it's gonna cost me a lot of money. So Arthur proceeds to give me the $150 cash out of his wallet and tells me please don't write a review.. Please beware and don't use this place!!!! Doesn't deserve the one star that I had to put in order to post this. I forgot to add when he first came and was going to take my TV...I asked him who's going to help you. I'm worried about you carrying my TV downstairs by yourself It's a 65 inch TV and I don't want it scratched his reply to me was "we don't scratch TVs" and then he proceeded to tell me that I can help him. It's not heavy. And when he returned my SCRATCHED TV. That I pointed out to him ...because he was not going to tell me about it... he was hoping I missed it and He could get out the front door.
