Jaime and Jesus handled the installation of the air handler, ductwork, and heat pump. They worked hard, were very respectful of our home, kept things clean, and honestly were much quieter doing the work than I expected considering all the cutting and installation involved. They also worked hard to finish ahead of the timeline they originally gave us. Inspection passed with no issues, and now we've been using the AC for months with zero problems. But since the original construction of my home had a poor central AC vent design and no kitchen exhaust vent, there were major temperature differences throughout the house. Edison and his team came back several times over the past year and in stages helped me install 2 new HVAC vents and a kitchen exhaust vent, and now every square inch of my home is cool and comfortable. Even better, because the heat pump is so efficient, we haven't noticed a significant increase in our electricity bill, even though the system runs quietly in the background 24/7. All of the basic fixes failed, and they all said we needed a full replacement. We gave Southwest a call for one last opinion based on a friend's recommendation, and Erick saved us. He spent 2+ hours in our sweltering attic troubleshooting every possible issue, until he found a quirk in our condensate drainage that no one else figured out. Once he accounted for that, it was quick work to purge our line and clear a clog that was responsible for the overflow in our attic. He knew we were resigned to replace the AC and easily could have told us the same. But he worked extra hard on our behalf, provided an affordable fix, and stayed longer to clean up the shoddy work from the past vendors. Admittedly it took a little longer to get Southwest out to our home, but I now know it's because they're going to take their time and really solve your problem. Like any unfortunate homeowner, I encountered the catastrophic event of a leaking Central Air Conditioner air which caused a water mess in my den. I called Fix Heating and Cooling and was pleasantly surprised by his price and excellent high quality repair. Eulises the technician, analyzed my Central Air Conditioning system operation and also explained the potential need for replacement of defective parts with top quality durable materials. He gave me several options of repairs based on my budget and explained the pros and cons. His explanations assured me that the work would be not only to get the system going again, but for helping my Central Air Conditioner last longer, and thus saving me money in the long run. I had already been quoted a higher price, but his price and warranty in parts and labor was more than adequate for my budget. I since recommended him to a member of my family and like myself she was very impressed and grateful for his repair. Scott was very polite, friendly and professional. He thoroughly inspected the furnace and thermostat and diagnosed the problem very quickly. Fortunately, I did not need to replace the furnace. Within a few days, Scott returned and replaced the necessary parts and installed a new thermostat. I waited a couple of months to see how well the furnace operated during these winter months. Now, I am pleased to announce that everything works perfectly. Scott, and AAA Calvert, receive superior marks. The cost of the repairs were quite reasonable for the amount of time and labor the project required. This was SUPERIOR service!!! Thank you, Scott!!!

First…read moreAdam came out and determined that our fan had broken, possibly damaging the motor, and that he also needed to check the coolant level. He ordered the new fan and motor on the phone while I was with him, so I expected we'd soon be cooled down. I don't want to get too far in the weeds, but ultimately it took four visits and nine days for techs to come out and replace the fan and the motor. They did take $500 off the price, and they were very nice about everything, but unfortunately they forgot to check the coolant level, so the AC was only marginally cooler than the outdoor air. Rather than complaining again, I just called my brother-in-law (who is also in the HVAC business). He found that it was light 4 lbs. of coolant, which he replaced, and now the system is running properly again. But it took almost two weeks during the hottest stretch of the year. I think AAA Calvert is a good business, and I hope this is a learning experience for them.

Upon reaching out to Mike initially, he was very responsive. I described my issue and he seemed to know exactly what the issue at hand was. I was not sure if I was tackling a plumbing issue or needed a HVAC company, as I had a leak in my hallway. I was not sure if a pipe busted. Was it coming from my bathroom? The attic? Then I noticed the leak only happened when my a/c was on. So, I turned it off, and the leaking stopped. But, we were miserable in this house during the heatwave with no air conditioning. So at that point, I was pretty confident I had an issue that required Mikes expertise. He came on time with his assistant, Abraham. Thankfully, they were able to clear out my condensation drain and resolve the issue and I was able to turn my a/c back on. He made a few recommendations that I felt were minivan and reasonably priced. We scheduled it for a few days out. The additional work was at follows. * Hang 30" x 24" Drain Pan * Install (2) Safety Overflow Switches * Reroute PVC to Exterior of Home, current drain to be capped on both ends. Today, Mike and Abraham returned to do the above mentioned. They arrived on time and were complete professionals. They stayed for approx 2.5 hours. I appreciate the shoe covers that they used when entering my home. The. Are with which they took when moving about within my home with ladders and tools in toe. They were both friendly to my doggy and my elderly mother who asked many questions. All in all, I was happy with the work that was performed. Glad to have met Mike. My Ac unit went out and we had received a flyer or text about a discounted service inspection so I thought great! Let's get the ac checked out. A service tech came out said there was a leak in the line. They said we can have you blowing cold air today. We asked repeatedly "will it be "repaired". With the assurance of it "will be blowing cold air tonight". They also stated in order to fix the AC they needed to clean the ducts. We really did not want our ducts cleaned but they were insistent that they needed to clean the ducts, for the AC to work properly and the price they charged to clean and fix the issue was $5437. They injected a type of flex seal into the line to seal a tiny leak and recharged our cooling system as well as cleaned the ducts. AC worked great for 3 days and then it started short cycling and would not blow anymore. I called and they came out and they told us we needed a new unit and the price would be roughly $20,000. Then they stated that the pressures were off due to the fact that the duct was crushed. Yes you read that correctly they cleaned crushed ducts on an AC unit that wasn't working. Of course at the time they did not tell us that our ac ducts were crushed they did not share that info with us until they came back to look at the AC because it wasn't working. They refused to troubleshoot the system that they broke and insisted we needed a new unit, a unit that had been working fine previously. I was very adamant that there was no issues with the system other than the leak and that the repair they had done something that had to impact the working of the AC and that I did not need a new unit. They refused to troubleshoot the system that they broke. Did they break it yes. I called multiple AC repair companies to come out and look at the unit they all told me the same thing that I needed a new system. I finally found an independent contractor that came out and actually listened to the problem he diagnosed it within minutes he took pressure readings and the input was double the pressure that the output should have been, not to mention that there was DOUBLE the amount of coolant in the system that there should have been, to him he said that indicated that there was a clog in the line and he was 99% certain that it was a valve. He said he was going to take our non-working unit apart I said that was fine it doesn't work anyways LOL. So he took the line apart, took out the valve in sure enough that was the issue it was clogged. He replaced the TXV (valve) and our ac has been working fine since then. So there you have it service all stars came out broke our system charged us $5,500 including cleaning ducts that were crushed (we won't mention that they are the dryer vent type ducts that everyone recommends not to clean) and then refused to diagnose the system that they broke so if you want to use these guys I just want to give you a fair warning.
