    EM Heating and Air Conditioning is a 5 star business this is why I call them!!! They gave me that treatment too ,when Edgar & Dean came out to service my 2 units at my home they didn't try to sell me any thing I didn't need or wast my time trying to sell me extras they did the job I call them for A+ !! I will be calling this company again for their services what a great team and company Thank you EM Heating and Air Conditioning for a honest job and well done!!!

    I called because my heater stopped working, yes it's older and I know it should be replaced. That was my fear when looking around for the right HVAC company. From the girl who answered the phone, to Edgar showing up to my house On TIME, he was friendly and really experienced, he found that the furnace was overheating and shutting off, looked deeper and found the fan was so dirty it was causing my heater to lose air. That made sense! He pulled it all apart and cleaned it. After putting it all together my system started working properly, I even have more airflow than I ever had. I will definitely be calling them when time to replace! Thank you so much for being so awesome, trustworthy, and affordable. HIGHKY RECOMMEND

Showed up 15 minutes into my 2-hour service window and before he set a foot inside my house, put covers over his boots which my carpets greatly appreciated. Did a thorough inspection of my furnace, air purifier filter, and A/C unit before cleaning the A/C. Said everything was healthy for an older system and didn't try to bullshit me or insult my intelligence. Guess which HVAC company I will never contact again and which one I would.

    I called Advantage Air because my AC wasn't cooling. Their technician ran a paid diagnostic but…read morewould not open the unit, told me the refrigerant charge "seemed adequate," and proposed a coil cleaning of $545-$1,195 without ever looking into the system to see if it was dirty, to try to identify the problem. I got a second opinion. When the second company opened the system (originally installed by Advantage Air company), they found roughly two gallons of water inside the sealed refrigerant circuit, refrigerant leaking over the motor, a failed metering valve, an emergency water shut-off that wasn't connected and an unsecured exhaust line -- all documented with photos and video. The coil wasn't dirty; the system was contaminated and improperly sealed. I'd encourage anyone to get a second opinion before authorizing an expensive "cleaning," and to insist the technician show you what they're diagnosing. This system has only ever been worked on by Advantage Air. The system is basically new; it's eight years old. I purchased this home three years ago.

As you can imagine, as a new home owner, most all of our money was tied up in the purchase of the home and we were expecting the air-conditioning to work since it had previously passed inspection. I tried using our home warranty, but they gave me every reason under the sun not to cover it. At this point, we were so close to summer that we could not wait anymore, especially since we had a young child. I met with several air-conditioning companies for quotes, one that even quoted me over $50k for a new unit and ducting. I met with Kyle who worked with me on pricing. I really appreciated his calm demeanor, positive attitude and professionalism through this unexpected, stressful situation. He was able to fit us into their very busy schedule and we were able to get new AC up and running within one week notice. His team, led by Ivan, did a great job with the removal of the old ducting and unit, installation of the new and cleaned up after themselves after each workday. I also met Juan, on the last day who helped start up our system. Juan was kind, knowledgeable and professional. I had some minor hiccups that came up after the job was done, Kyle and Juan were very responsive and helped resolved things swiftly. They are an exceptional team and I would be happy to recommend them to anyone.

I did my homework and reached out to a few contractors, including Gominisplit, to collect some quotes. I met with several other contractors, who did not show up to estimate appointments, were blatantly rude, and tried to upsell me things I did not need. Jose was a gem. He responded quickly to my inquiry and was punctual for my home walkthrough as well as all visits thereafter. He made sound recommendations and provided a competitive and fair estimate. I hired him because he was honest and easy to work with. He speaks English and Spanish, which was helpful because my dad speaks Spanish and he's the one who mainly coordinated with Jose. He worked very quickly with one other person and had our three bedrooms and living room area up and running in a couple of days. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs minisplits for their home. I'm sleeping nice and cool these days and we're ready for the summer!

Although it was a strange and difficult situation, they stuck to it until the problem was resolved. The techs Danny and Mark went above and beyond to make sure everything was good. Subsequent to this service, she has reported that the air conditioning is not effectively cooling the premises, with only the fan operating. I advised her to adjust the thermostat to a lower setting. Given her advanced age of 90, her discomfort with the warm air became increasingly pronounced. Today, in collaboration with my brother-in-law, we investigated the issue. We observed that while the unit appeared to be functioning, it was not producing cool air, despite the outdoor fan operating correctly. During our investigation, we contacted the service provider, Thomson. A representative stated that only the thermostat had been replaced and that a service technician could be dispatched for a fee of $159, suggesting a potential wiring issue. Upon reviewing the Honeywell thermostat instructions and wiring diagram, we identified that the thermostat had been incorrectly wired to the "W" terminal. After rectifying this wiring error, the air conditioning unit resumed normal operation, producing cool air. I subsequently contacted Thomson for clarification regarding the initial service. Their response repeatedly referenced a previous replacement 14 months prior. While their online reviews are predominantly five-star, our experience suggests a lack of professionalism. This incident raises concerns about the necessity of recommended services and the quality of workmanship, potentially indicating errors or intentional oversights during the initial installation.
