We moved forward with the fix, and it worked fine, and then it didn't. After a few more visits, and some more parts and tinkering, it finally started working properly. Although it was a strange and difficult situation, they stuck to it until the problem was resolved. The techs Danny and Mark went above and beyond to make sure everything was good. Another thing to add, the way the company communicated back and forth with me was great. They answered every call and every text. Most of the time I spoke with Stacey and she was great. If you're looking for an honest and professional company, this is it.

Given her advanced age of 90, her discomfort with the warm air became increasingly pronounced. Today, in collaboration with my brother-in-law, we investigated the issue. We observed that while the unit appeared to be functioning, it was not producing cool air, despite the outdoor fan operating correctly. During our investigation, we contacted the service provider, Thomson. A representative stated that only the thermostat had been replaced and that a service technician could be dispatched for a fee of $159, suggesting a potential wiring issue. Upon reviewing the Honeywell thermostat instructions and wiring diagram, we identified that the thermostat had been incorrectly wired to the "W" terminal. After rectifying this wiring error, the air conditioning unit resumed normal operation, producing cool air. I subsequently contacted Thomson for clarification regarding the initial service. Their response repeatedly referenced a previous replacement 14 months prior. While their online reviews are predominantly five-star, our experience suggests a lack of professionalism. This incident raises concerns about the necessity of recommended services and the quality of workmanship, potentially indicating errors or intentional oversights during the initial installation.

As you can imagine, as a new home owner, most all of our money was tied up in the purchase of the home and we were expecting the air-conditioning to work since it had previously passed inspection. I tried using our home warranty, but they gave me every reason under the sun not to cover it. At this point, we were so close to summer that we could not wait anymore, especially since we had a young child. I met with several air-conditioning companies for quotes, one that even quoted me over $50k for a new unit and ducting. I met with Kyle who worked with me on pricing. I really appreciated his calm demeanor, positive attitude and professionalism through this unexpected, stressful situation. He was able to fit us into their very busy schedule and we were able to get new AC up and running within one week notice. His team, led by Ivan, did a great job with the removal of the old ducting and unit, installation of the new and cleaned up after themselves after each workday. I also met Juan, on the last day who helped start up our system. Juan was kind, knowledgeable and professional. I had some minor hiccups that came up after the job was done, Kyle and Juan were very responsive and helped resolved things swiftly. They are an exceptional team and I would be happy to recommend them to anyone.

Showed up 15 minutes into my 2-hour service window and before he set a foot inside my house, put covers over his boots which my carpets greatly appreciated. Did a thorough inspection of my furnace, air purifier filter, and A/C unit before cleaning the A/C. Said everything was healthy for an older system and didn't try to bullshit me or insult my intelligence. Guess which HVAC company I will never contact again and which one I would.

Their technician ran a paid diagnostic but…read morewould not open the unit, told me the refrigerant charge "seemed adequate," and proposed a coil cleaning of $545-$1,195 without ever looking into the system to see if it was dirty, to try to identify the problem. I got a second opinion. When the second company opened the system (originally installed by Advantage Air company), they found roughly two gallons of water inside the sealed refrigerant circuit, refrigerant leaking over the motor, a failed metering valve, an emergency water shut-off that wasn't connected and an unsecured exhaust line -- all documented with photos and video. The coil wasn't dirty; the system was contaminated and improperly sealed. I'd encourage anyone to get a second opinion before authorizing an expensive "cleaning," and to insist the technician show you what they're diagnosing. This system has only ever been worked on by Advantage Air. The system is basically new; it's eight years old. I purchased this home three years ago.

Jeff Kieffer came out the day after I called and provided an estimate and a proposed plan, and the owner, Diego Martinez, visited my house twice, once to explain how a difficult room would be accessed and serviced, and the day the work began to answer any final questions and give final directions to the installation team. The process was smooth and efficient: * The team arrived on time, were extremely courteous, and Diego, the owner, showed up and took the time to explain everything clearly one more time. * They handled the installation with care, keeping the work area clean throughout the day. No mess left behind--they even vacuumed up and wiped down areas they worked in. * The crew was knowledgeable, answered all my questions patiently, and made sure the new unit was perfectly sized for our home (no shortcuts or upselling) * They tested everything thoroughly before leaving, walked me through the operation of the new thermostat (Ecobee Premium), maintenance tips, and warranty details. It's only been a short time since the install, but the difference in comfort is night and day. Exceptional financing was offered, and the value of this project was perfect for my budget I also gained a new closet by moving the unit up to the attic! If you're in the Orange County area and need a new AC/heater system, I can't recommend this team highly enough. For context, during this period we had a newborn and significant personal obligations. When the visit occurred, the noise did not happen at that moment and no technician evaluation or adjustment was performed as a result. I later recorded the noise when it occurred and shared video evidence. Despite this, no diagnostic visit was offered. My review reflects both the unresolved issue and how it was ultimately handled. After posting this review, the business responded by disputing timelines and attributing the issue to unrelated work, but did not offer to inspect or resolve the ongoing airflow/pressure noise, despite video evidence. The attic cellulose work referenced was recommended by their team and performed by a contractor they referred. I had an air conditioning unit installed by Evolution Air in 2021. Since installation, the unit has intermittently made a loud "farting" or bubbling noise. I reported this issue within the first year. A technician came out, but unfortunately the noise did not occur during the visit, so nothing was adjusted or fixed. The problem has continued since then. After researching the issue myself, I found multiple discussions on Reddit indicating this is a known and common problem related to airflow or pressure adjustment, and that it is typically an easy fix for an experienced technician. Despite this, the issue remains unresolved years later. Overall, I'm disappointed that a known, recurring issue reported early on was not properly addressed, and that I've had to rely on online forums to understand what should have been a straightforward adjustment. He was straightforward, honest, and gave no-nonsense recommendation, something I really appreciate. He quickly diagnosed the issue, replaced the capacitor, and suggested adding a compressor saver since our AC unit is nearly 20 years old. No pressure at all, just helpful advice. We decided to go with both and the pricing was very fair. Everything was done efficiently within an hour and our AC is running perfectly again. I noticed some mixed reviews, but after working with him, I realized he's just a straight shooter who gets the job done fast because of his expertise. He charges a fair, standard fee and doesn't play games. Marcel came out the next day and gave me a zero-pressure quote. Although my AC and furnace were from 1989 they were still technically 'working,' but I noticed the heater wouldn't always kick on and the AC would struggle. Marcel was honest and said they were fine for now, but you never know when units that old will finally go. I decided to change them now rather than wait for an emergency. Even though I just got the quote, he had an opening and was able to get the AC installed just two days later! A few days after that, I decided to do the furnace too. This is where they really shined: because of how that 1989 Carrier system was built, they had to do almost double the work to modify the setup they had just done for the AC. They came back with no issues, handled all the modifications, and put in the new furnace. Now, everything is running whisper-quiet and they cleaned up perfectly. The crew with Renee, Enrique, and a third helper were super fast and very respectful of my belongings. They answered all my questions. l always prefer to support small 'mom and pop' company instead of a big franchise. You get a personal touch you can't find elsewhere.
