I highly recommend Advantage Air. They came out so quickly, and though I knew my ancient a/c needed to be replaced with something modern and efficient, I couldnt really afford that. Milan (the owner, who came out himself along with a great tech) figured out a way to get me up and running without using obsolete parts, and starting the path to the new machine I really need for not much more than the quopte I got a few years ago to just fix the old one. That fix would need an expensive visit EVERY year we kept it. Milan was too honorable to go that way. hE CLEARLY EXPLAINED THE OPTIONS AND THE LONG TERM COSTS ASSOCIATED SO i COULD MAKE AN INFORMED DECISION. I felt sure he was telling it like it is about giving me a great deal. But curious me had to go online and check out the parts pricing anyway.. Now I know he did. In fact I'll go as far as to say Advantage air was the very model of how a growing business SHOULD run. quality work and happy customers first. Enough profit to keep the business going, but but nott gouging people just because you can get away with it. Not being greedy. Taking what you earn and needno gouging. Just an honest deal. I think everyone went away happy. So far the new (mostly) a'c is working like a charm. I can already telll its more efficient because there arent any icicles in my garage. LOL thats right the old one wasted so much cold air that it created and froze condensation on the run off pipe, which eventually built into actual Icecicles! The new one is sending the cold air where its supposed to be. Keeping US ccol. It uses less expensive freon that doesnt damage the environment like the old one did. Milan was totally professional and he was quick about getting us fixed. He bent over backwards to make sure an issue that cropped up a day or so later wanst caused by them at no charge. worried about the work, and that no errors had been made. *(My problem was totally unrelated and one of those DUH human errors. Like your phone wont work because you forgot to charge your battery). I only checked about the a/c because it was the only change made since the other worked. When you call Avantage. you get a live person who will answer your questions/ Even toss you some handy tricks that might be a soluution. Likw maybe the car wiuld run better if it had gas in it? If they can, they usually come out the same day. Even if they cant they get there fast. great time management. I cant think of anything bad to say about About advantage air unless its that they ought to expand to every service business I use. I am ffairly gulible and easy to rip off, so many contractors do. I've always lived in homes that have Day & Night brand HVAC until I moved into my current home 15 years ago which had a Rheem HVAC already working superb, I decided that due my great satisfaction with the reliability of my Rheem units there would be no other brand in the world better for my home. It wasn't drastic but my units were about 26 years old and I happened to have on hand extra money to invest in upgrades to my home so I decided to look into a brand new Rheem HVAC for my home. I called two HVAC companies who I didn't realize at the time didn't offer Rheem, they basically told me that even though my units are running great well be on their life expectancy that my units are nothing but junk and what am I thinking for running this brand in my home. So those companies were quickly swept off of my property. I'm very picky about upgrading and not downgrading when I do work to my home so questions started coming up, so the owner Milan came to my home and and put my fears to rest by offering me the perfect Rheem furnace for my home. After city inspectors caused the whole project to be totally replaned, tons of adjustments had to be made to make it pass inspection Milan was with me the whole way and didn't abandon me. He sent Oscar and Alex for the installation, It turned out to be a complicated installation but they took their time to carefully install the perfect system in my home. We have a 1934 Duplex that had very old heaters(gravity) and no A/C. After this last summer we couldn't take it anymore so we decided to upgrade both units with AC and forced air heating. Looked on Yelp, AngiesList and Service Pro and got a few estimates. We were very impressed with Advantage Air from the beginning. The owner, Milan came by and looked over the house carefully. He returned with a estimate and a plan for each apartment unit and sat down with both my husband and I to review the estimate and the one from another company. Milan is just wonderful, he is a great listener and pays attention to detail. He told us about the best heating and A/C units available and had pictures of his work. He also found discounts available. His installation teams(one for each apartment unit) were absolutely great! The attic space they had to work in was so challenging sloping from 2 feet to 6 inches. They were able to get a vent to a space we thought sure would not be possible. Dio the lead on the upstairs unit was really careful and I appreciated his concern for detail. Jose was also wonderful and very professional and installed the lower units systems without a hitch. They were all neat and careful. The job was completed on time. After the installation, Milan returned to review the work, make sure we knew how to properly operate the systems and helped me fill out the rebate forms. These words came to mind when I crossed path with Advantage Air in Long Beach during my desperate moment when I needed help to deal with my broken down heating-air conditioning unit and worried about repair cost. Advantage Air sent Juan Espinoza who I thought is a Yelp celebrity here in Long Beach, California based on the reviews. He is very efficient, professional, and knowledgeable. He helped me understand and took away the mystery of maintaining my heating-air conditioning unit. After he did the repairs to my unit, I began to understand why. He thoroughly checked the unit, explained the situation, gave me my options and costs, and did all the repairs including tune up. Advantage Air office staff, Kayla, is amazing in helping and setting up my repair appointment. She kept me posted with the repair guy's arrival; and later, she even gave me the option for an earlier appointment when an opening became available. Just like Juan, Kayla is very efficient, professional, and knowledgeable. They are both great assets to their company. I was apprehensive when I was scouting around for repair service; but after experiencing the service from Advantage Air, my fear went away. I hope more companies and employees follow the footsteps of Advantage Air and I hope Advantage Air continue to maintain this. My dad's AC went out and he called his regular AC people, who came and looked and said they would get back to him with an estimate. They never called him back. They still haven't called him back. A good AC guy is hard to fine. This company was referred to me by a friend. My dad is recovering from knee surgery and is stuck in the house and we needed someone reliable and quick. I called Advantage Air and they were so professional and kind. The crew came out right away and gave us a great deal. People were working on it right away; they worked all day completely replacing the unit, in and out of the attic, and finished by 3PM. We had cold air right away. They set us up with an eco friendly unit that does not make a lot of noise (actually no noise) and that will save us a lot of money. The workers were fast, friendly, and completely competent. They showed us how the previous AC had not only been improperly serviced, but was actually a fire hazard. I have gone through a lot of handymen and workers in my day and these guys are the real deal. It was one of the smoothest transactions I have ever had. I wish everyone I dealt with could be this competent! I HIGHLY recommend Advantage Air. I needed a part replaced on my furnace. Brenda is courteous and professional. She spent extra time with me to find a date that worked best because my work schedule is not flexible. She responds in a timely manner which is much appreciated. I had my HVAC installed by Advantage Air and have the annual tune-ups. Jorge checked to see if my part was still under warranty and replaced my dual pressure switch quickly. He sent a text on his ETA, arrived on time, and showed respect for my home (He always wore his shoe covers.) BUT, one of the main reasons why I stay with Advantage Air is because of Milan. He called me when the repair had to be rescheduled. He looked out for my best interests in order to protect my health when his repair guy was unexpectedly not feeling well the day he was supposed to arrive. I appreciate his concern for the health of his customers. Most of the time, I do not receive calls from the owners of the company, so it meant a lot that Milan personally took the time to call me. He also helped me with a stressful home repair that was not related to my HVAC. The extra time and advice he gave me shows that he cares about his customers. read more

I was referred to Advantage Air by a family member who's opinion I trust greatly. My 35+yr old furnace was at the end of it's life and needed to be replaced. I can say with total assurance that Advantage Air's service was 100% consistent with all the reviews and ratings that appeared here on Yelp (which I of course checked before agreeing to the work). The installers were polite, clean, thorough, and walked me through nearly every step of what was being done as they were installing. The head installer Jose went above and beyond the scope work and deep cleaned my AC coil box (which after removing my old furnace, he saw to be extremely dirty and rusted inside). I couldn't afford to replace my AC at the time, but it the guys serviced it up well enough to hopefully get me a few extra years. My new furnace is working GREAT! It heats the house terrifically. I definitely would recommend Advantage with no hesitation. Our ancient (1952) furnace quit and probably wasn't worth the danger etc. involved in repairing it. After talking/having inspections from several companies, we chanced upon Advantage Air. Unlike some other companies, Milan made an appointment to inspect and actually showed up on time. He took a careful look at our situation and explained what needed to be done and why. He then made an installation appointment. His technicians, the splendid Carlos and Ernie, showed up on time and went swiftly to work. Carlos consulted us as needed and explained what he needed to know lucidly and politely. They cleaned up every day so we were not forced to put up with a big mess. They completed the job as scheduled! Milan continued be helpful and arranged for the disposal of our old monster of a furnace. The whole business was accomplished with dispatch and remarkably little suffering on our part. We had a major leak in our AC and of course if happened during a heat wave. Advantage Air was really courteous on the phone and worked with us to make an appointment that fit with my schedule. The tech provided a thorough assessment of the situation which involved a choice between a costly repair or a new unit. The owner Milan was able to come out within a few hours to explain my options. He was professional, knowledgeable and took his time to explain the options in detail even though it was late in the day. They were able to come out at 8am the next morning to do an install. Due to the challenging nature of the leak our install took two days and they were totally on top of it. I had a business trip and Milan followed up by phone to keep me apprised of the situation. I started my journey to replace a thermostat. When i realized it was a little over my head i headed to Yelp to find a company to assist. Found advantage air and many positive reviews. I called at about 5 or 6 and the receptionist answered quickly and asked to call me back as she was on the other line. I was contacted back within 10 minutes and an appointment was scheduled for the next day. After some issues due to the old thermostat being installed differently than most newer thermostats a part that was not ordered was needed. This issue was resolved quickly and a new appointment was set. Juan was extremely professional in his work ethic. Based on BBB and Yelp I made an appointment with Advantage Air today. They were prompt, courteous and very helpful answering my many questions. My AC was running fine; I just wanted a check of the charge. Juan E. offered a more detailed service, but I keep my system up pretty well myself, so I passed. Juan went beyond what was required and cheerfully mentioned I could add a booster (assist start cap) to my unit to help with compressor start-up and extend its life. He was suggesting I could do it as we had talked about me recently replacing the Run Cap. I asked if he had one that he could install for me (I'm lazy), and in a few minutes, he had it in and had cleaned up my coils and unit. I highly recommend these folks and will use them the next time - and there will be a next time with my old unit - I need repair or a newer installation. Not knowing where to turn when we had issues with controlling heating and cooling in our two-story home, we received quotes from a number of local companies, but nobody was quite like Milan and Advantage Air. Milan was professional and followed up with the most competitive and comprehensive estimate. Our central AC wasn't generating a lot of air and the air wasn't cold. I called Advantage Air and scheduled an appointment the next day. Gabriel came on time and quickly found that our filter was old and that cause our system to freeze. He wasn't able to fix it because i had to let the AC thaw but he told me exactly what needed to be done. I let the AC thaw overnight, followed his instructions and noticed an immediate difference with the amount of air that my AC was producing. So far so good. But then i noticed that the air wasn't as cold as i wanted and called Advantage Air again. Gabriel came back and, again, came on time and quickly diagnosed the problem. He worked his magic and now my AC is blowing much more air and colder than before. Props to Gabriel and the Advantage Air team. They're my go-to guys for all of my AC issues. read more
