Scheduling with LMP Heating & Air was incredibly easy, and Leonard was professional, thorough, and a pleasure to work with. He gave us a full assessment of our system and was very transparent and honest about what he found. What we especially appreciated was that he didn't try to sell us on a brand-new unit when ours still has plenty of life left. Instead, he recommended other practical solutions that could improve the airflow and comfort throughout our home. We really valued his straightforward approach and expertise, and we're looking forward to our next appointment to get the recommended work done. Highly recommend LMP Heating & Air! read more

Had Logan come out to our home. He was on time, made recommendations (not pushy), and pleasant. Seem very knowledgeable in his field. We will use him for all future service and repairs. Highly recommended. Thank you. read more

I only spoke to Lynnie on the phone but she was very kind and helpful. Unfortunately they did not service the machine I was looking to service, but they did point me in the direction of someone that could help. Lynnie went out of her way to call me back and she made a point not to send a tech out if she knew they would not be able to service the machine. Thank you so much for your kindness and helpfulness read more

Our 40+ year old gas furnace was at end of life and we wanted to replace it with a heat pump. Several friends recommended LMP and theirs was one of the estimates we got. They were the lowest and we were impressed with their knowledge and experience so they got the job. They did the work on time and were so meticulous. They removed the old furnace from our basement and cleaned up before they left each day. Everything about the install was precise. We've had the unit in both hot and cold weather now and it's working great. We like how quiet it is. I'd recommend LMP to anyone for anything from a repair or tuneup to a full install. read more

Wow. We had 2 other companies come out and this was the only one who did a thorough investigation and found the issue. They went above and beyond to diagnose what was going on. Highly recommend! read more

Excellent Service. Honest and helpful staff. Trustworthy. Very competitive prices. Leonard took time to explain issues and options so that I could make an informed decision. He and his staff did great work. Punctual and good communication with me. I really couldn't ask for more. read more

Leonard was prompt and extremely knowledgeable. Our rental unit had an issue with the zoning system, and he was able to troubleshoot it, saving us money by utilizing the parts warranty. The price was reasonable, and we'll definitely be reaching out for future services. read more

When my air conditioning went out, I called LMP and spoke to Lynnie who managed to schedule an appointment for me. What an asset to have her as your first point of contact in representing your company. After reading all the reviews on Yelp, there is really nothing more I could add: Leonard is honest and trustworthy, humble, no upselling, motivated, hard-working, strong work ethic, excellent communicator, reasonable prices, efficient and prompt, proficient and skillful, and an expert or master of his trade. For all those reasons Leonard is none other than the Heating & Air Whisperer. read more

From start to finish, LMP has been an amazing group to work with! Response to inquiries, estimates, keeping in touch throughout the process was easy and helpful! The quality of work, professionalism, customer service, and fair pricing are what companies should be like! Thumbs up to you! read more

Requested a service call, A/C had stopped working and it was hot. Leonard came out the next day, and figured out what was wrong. Back out in a day to install the failed part. Great company. read more

LMP does fantastic work and it's all done in a timely professional manner. They were very responsive and kept to the quoted amount and came when scheduled and finished in the time discussed. They redid our whole system which dated back to the 70s and made it more energy efficient and it is a much nicer feel in the house with much more consistent and pleasant temperatures. We had a neighbor request screening due to the placement of the unit and LMP put it in to help neighborhood relations. Thanks again! Even after the work was done they helped us with working on getting a rebate from the State with documents they generated to meet the requirements. So helpful. Would recommend Leonard and the whole company to everyone else. read more

A family owned business that delivers on professionalism, communication, and taking care of all the needs of the customer. Leonard is outstanding and is extremely knowledgable. His honesty and care in taking care of the customer is amazing. I called out two companies previous to LMP and one suggested I buy a whole new AC and heating unit. His wife who handles a lot of the communication is super friendly, very prompt, and is willing to help in anyway possible. Would HIGHLY recommend!!! read more

LMP and Leonard and his family are awesome! We reached out and he stopped by that day! We were looking to do a preventative maintenance, plus we realized our unit wasn't cooling. With the heat coming up we wanted to get a jump. He is super knowledgeable, and not just in AC. He was informative and taught us a lot about our system. Leonard did not try to upsell or try to get us to do anything else. He changed the air filter, found the problem (dual-capacitor fuse) and cleaned and serviced our system (both furnace and AC). Leonard also gave us all the info about our system as we bought the house two years prior and haven't done anything since the remodel. We now feel comfortable and knowledgeable, and know how to maintain our system to last for a long time to come. He is on our schedule now for yearly maintenance, and should any other issues arise. Highly Recommend! read more

If you are looking for a trustworthy source for your heating/air needs, you need look no further. Seriously, after much research I went with LMP. I did not have LMP do any work on my air conditioning, but after explaining what was going on with my unit, the lady answering the phone was so helpful and even suggested a couple of things that I might try to possibly fix the problem so that I wouldn't have to pay for a service charge. They (LMP) were unfortunately too busy to get out right away, but the lady was kind enough to refer me to another company (it was a great referral, and the problem was solved right away). I'm giving them 5 stars for their help and kindness. read more

Our A/C gave out in time for the previous heat wave, and LMP was the second company we called. LMP is a family-owned business, and we were very impressed with Leonard and his son Logan. They came promptly and did a thorough inspection and diagnosis, explaining at each step what they were finding. It turned out not to be fixable, and so we got an all-new heat pump system. They were very thorough, respectful of our property, worked around us, explained everything we wanted to know about, and cleaned up after themselves each of the three days they took for the installation. No up-selling or extras. Strongly recommended. read more

An absolute PRO!!! I had high expectations and they exceeded them. Massively. Incredibly knowledgeable. Friendly. Prompt. Honest. The list goes on and on. If you are in need of a new system or a check up on your current one... Leonard Paterno is the guy to call. My family and I are very, very thankful for a far superior system that produces much more airflow at an exceedingly greater efficiency. Staying cooler. Looking sleeker. SAVING MONEY!! I appreciated that Leonard took the time to explain a variety of options so we could pick the cooling products best for our house. Their follow through was impeccable and timely. We will continue to call them for all our heating and cooling needs. read more

LMP took on a relatively small job for me recently (after a few other companies ghosted me). We have a pretty old hvac system and were getting really bad air flow to part of the house. He taught me a lot about our current system, explained everything (without talking down to me), had a simple but elegant solution, and performed everything quickly and at a great price. Additionally, we asked for a quote to completely redo our system and install a heat pump - he talked me through various options and gave me a price lower than I was expecting (though I was expecting a very, very high price). We're still debating if we're going to go that route, but if we do we'd definitely go with LMP again. read more

Our 25 year old HVAC system finally gave out on us... right as temps dropped into the 30's at night. We reached out to LMP since they're a local family business. Lynnie was extremely helpful getting everything scheduled for us and helping to field a lot of our questions and Leonard was a solid professional from start to finish. During his initial visit Leonard offered to order parts to repair our furnace... But he also cautioned us on putting too much money into fixing a system that was ten years past it's prime. Since we've had many issues with our system over the last two years, we thought about it and knew fixing it would just be a bandaid, and we didn't want to get caught in a cold house in 30° weather again...so we opted to get a new system. Leonard educated us and answered all our questions about the different systems to consider (furnace/ AC vs heat pump) and we ended up going with the heat pump. They were able to get started very quickly, they were clean, thorough, courteous, and quick! You can really tell Leonard and his team enjoy what they do and take pride in their work. We are now warm and toasty thanks to LMP! read more

I can't thank Leonard enough for helping us with our heater that stopped working after my husband installed a Nest Google device. He (the husband) then had to travel for work and it got cold at night for me and my son. Ok, CA cold is different than Germany cold around this time of year, but that's beside the point.:-) Leonard came the next day, took a look, explained the issue and showed me the parts and then fixed it and even reinstalled the Nest thing! I am super impressed with his work and his kindness and we are warm again. Thank you! read more

Leonard and his helper came out to install new heating and air conditioning units at our house. They were on time, professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and did a great clean up job too. They completed the job in the time period that was estimated and at the agreed price. The system works perfectly and is quieter than we expected. We could not ask for a better experience and cannot recommend LMP too highly. Just a wonderful experience! read more

Leonard is wonderful to work with. Honest, professional, and really great about educating you along the way and ensuring you're empowered to troubleshoot the minor issues as they come up. Having just moved in to a new house with a newborn - having central AC and heat working was crucial. Leonard has been incredibly helpful at fixing ducts and even remote troubleshooting minor issues that come up for us as new homeowners still learning the system. We sent out multiple feelers for HVAC specialists and it's been refreshing to work with someone who is responsive, transparent, and an expert who clearly enjoys his work and sharing his knowledge and skills with others. read more

So my heater was out for a week, and I am never home due to work, so I decided to look on yelp on Sunday morning to see if I can get someone to come out and see what was wrong with the heater, to my surprise Leonard was free and came out right away, he was professional and fixed the problem in a flash, no extra charge for a Sunday and explained what happened to my heater system..This is a company to use, nice and friendly, great service Thanks, Debra D'Anna read more

Nothing short of wonderful! Leonard and Lynnie are what service type businesses should be like. For instance - I called to get an appointment...how would later today be? Well, sure! It's cold outside...my wall heaters aren't working...other big name companies charge more when they know a client is desperate. Not LMP! Fantastic work, on time, clean, explained everything, and reasonably priced. Do yourself a favor - for heating and air repairs, call LMC! read more

Leonard not only fixed my heater but took the time to give me a complete education about how it works. The repair took about 15 minutes but he spent over an hour walking me through everything I need to know to be a responsible operator of the equipment. Also his price was 1/4 what was quoted to me by the hard sell predators that Home Depot sent out to me. read more

I highly recommend LMP. Leonard is very knowledgeable, professional, cleanliness and personable. He explained in detail what he was going to do, when done, went over what he did. He shared knowledge on how the heater works and did so in a non-pretentious way. His assistant, Amy, was very nice and I loved to see that she worked in a field dominated by men and that Leonard gave her the opportunity to do so. She had her job to do, which, she did and was efficient doing so. This family-owned business is well-rounded and they did what they said they would do; a company of their word. They didn't ask to post a review but I thought the job they did was so great that I wanted to do something to show my appreciation. They worked quietly and quickly. Plus, they were super friendly to my 3 year old four-legged girl. You won't regret hiring them. read more

The local owners of this family business are responsive, keep you apprised of when Leonard can be expected to arrive and are highly professional. Co-owner Lynnie was proactive in reaching out letting me know when to expect service, which allowed me to run some errands rather than sitting at home for a period of time, as I've experienced with other companies. Can't say enough good things about the depth of knowledge and commitment to his field that Leonard brings with him on a service call. He's secure enough in himself to educate the homeowner and be generous with his knowledge. And it was such a pleasant change of pace to be spoken to intelligently and respectfully by a trades professional, as a woman. This behavior alone was enough for us to call LMP for a repeat visit for another issue with the HVAC system. He also installed a whole-house fan on a subsequent visit and got the job done in a timely manner. Plus, they bring a portable vacuum and clean up afterwards. Two thumbs-up! The only bad thing that I can say is that Lynnie and Leonard can't clone themselves, because the Long Beach area could use more of them! (And I'm not being paid or compensated to say any of this. It's legit.) read more

I spoke to Leonard on the phone inquiring about an AC issue and he was tremendously professional, informative, and helpful. Mr. Paterno came out to look at an issue with our heating and a/c and was prompt, extremely knowledgeable and honest. He fixed our issue and also gave us money saving tips. I would highly recommend LMP Heating & Air and I like that we could support a small business in Long Beach. read more

Leonard and his work partner with LMP Heating and Air did an excellent job installing a new HVAC system at our home. It was just before the cold weather set in and our old system had died. After doing our homework and getting a few estimates we decided that LMP was who we wanted to have complete the work. He stood out with his knowledge and experience in the business. He fully inspected the attic ahead of time and took accurate measurements for a thorough estimate. His pricing was competitive and we could tell that he would provide a quality product and do the job right. He was very comfortable explaining the details of the project before and along the way. He and his wife were easy to work with using effective communication via email and by phone. We have used our system through the main winter months now and have been very happy with his work. Definitely a job well done! Making a decision on a new HVAC system can be a big one, I am so thankful that we went with Leonard. Thank you for keeping our baby and us warm this winter. We will continue to highly recommend your services! read more

I couldn't be happier with LMP Heating & Air...so much so that I've already passed off Leonard's contact information to a realtor friend of mine to recommend him to her clients! My air conditioner decided to stop cooling last week, and the repair company associated with my insurance company didn't have availability for weeks. Desperate, I sent a quote request to LMP and got a prompt reply within about 20 minutes, and an appointment schedule for the following morning. Leonard arrived on time (actually a little early), quickly diagnosed the problem and was on the way to a quick repair within 15 minutes (and he would have been even faster if my ac unit wasn't on the roof of a 4-story building!). He walked me through every step, and explained exactly what he was doing and what the purpose of the various parts were. I'm an engineer and stubbornly almost never call on a repair service; but, Leonard made this situation a fun learning experience. Leonard also never tried to "up-sell" me and in fact told me to run my ac unit "into the ground" before considering replacing it. That kind of honest and stand-up attitude is rare and for that he will forever have my business! read more

Honest, polite, on time, and great work! They are family owned and really explain the process. They will give you an honest price based on what needs to be done versus trying to upcharge you for unnecessary work. I highly recommend! After multiple companies never followed up with us, Leonard came to the rescue. Leonard confirmed what the issue was, and was quick to order the parts we needed to get everything fixed. He was SUPER quick with the repair and spent a good amount of time teaching me what type of unit we had, and was so nice to teach me some things that he felt we should know about it. Please save yourself the headache with other AC companies , who only want to sell sell sell and don't care about their repairs , and call LMP. Best of the best ! read more
