Jose and Pepe were great, friendly, very knowledgeable, and very contentious about their work. They arrived early, Jose let me know what he was going to do, how long, and what he needed. He kept me informed throughout the process. He asked if i had any questions about anything and went to check on it if he didn't know. These guys work efficiently. They were able to demo and install the new HVAC system within one day, 8 AM to 6PM. The quality of their work is impeccable, They took care not to damage anything, they wore shoe covers and they even cleaned up after them selves. all of the pressurized lines and electrical lines were well wrapped,organized and hidden. Jose did a final walk through of the finished work to ensure all my questions were answered, that i understood everything and that his work was satisfactory. Overall, extremely professional, these guys are top notch. Milan is the owner, very friendly and knowledgeable as well. He worked with me to design that was the best fit for my budget. He also threw in a year of service for free! What amazing value! TLDR: These guys are competitively priced. If someone asks if i have an HVAC guy, these guys are it. I'm tempted to drop a star again, because I'm wasting my time arguing with the owner, who is now claiming his guy worked 30 min, as proven by his GPS tracker. However, I have the time stamp on my phone calls and texts regarding when he was arriving and when he asked for payment. I have no idea what was done with the other approximately twenty minutes of his time. So I guess the $145 should be justified because they have an expensive truck, and they need to pay for gas and travel (when they're 6 miles from my house), and no one else would even bother to service my property (which is not even remotely true). Just know that their prices apparently cover all their expensive equipment, trucks, licensing, training, gas, and anything else they can think of. Rent, too? Regardless, I cannot in good faith leave anything higher than 2 stars, as I'm not satisfied, and the owner merely doubles down with each communication. I'm not planning on using their services again. Others have had better experiences. I'm just sharing mine. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Okay, the owner responded. Admittedly, yes, my problem was solved in a timely manner, so one star was harsh. However, I still feel $145 is exorbitant to remove a cover, see the pilot is out, light it, and turn the unit on, all in 10 minutes or less. Granted, I'm too stupid to have done this myself, which is why the bill got paid. I'm glad the techs are knowledgeable, carry expensive equipment, and are licensed. Unfortunately, none of that was needed in my particular situation. If I wasn't so clueless when it comes to home stuff, I could have done this with a lighter, which is what I'll try next time. And I didn't request a Saturday appointment. It was offered, which is super nice, but was not exactly "accommodating" me. I could have waited two days if that would have changed the price. So let's start with the good. The wall unit at my rental wasn't turning on, so I went to Yelp to get quotes. Advantage Air got back to me immediately. I was in a meeting and they were able to work with me via text. I got scheduled right away and service was super friendly. Also, the tech was very nice and personable. Now the bad. I was told that the diagnostic call was $98, but this fee would be waived if I moved forward with the repairs offered. The appointment was super quick because all that was wrong was the pilot light was out. They charged me ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY FIVE DOLLARS!! I asked why the amount was so high if the $98 fee was waived. He said the total cost of the repair was $145. My repair was relighting the pilot, mind you. He was there ten minutes. I'm sorry, but this was robbery. The dumb part is I need another unit looked at, which I told the tech. So they just lost another job as I will be looking elsewhere. Totally beware! read more

We had our central air conditioner outdoor unit and indoor coil replaced after Advantage Air installed the original in 2013. 12 years is about average lifespan with heavy usage. Today the team did the one day project and have us back in cold air. We subscribe to Advantage Air's 6 month maintenence plan 3 year plan. The fact that our compressor was wearing out was not a surprise. Rigo, George and Edwin did a great job today. They were considerate, cordial and did a great job cleaning up behind themselves. read more

I've used Advantage Air twice now--once to replace my thermostat and get everything set up through an app, and then recently for yearly maintenance of our a/c unit. Each time we've received excellent service and we're very happy with the ecobee thermostat our technician recommended. Jorge, the technician who took care of me, was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Straight-forward and professional, he was on time, quick, and extremely helpful. I ended up needing the fan motor on my condenser unit replaced, along with installing a surge protector to hopefully prevent the new motor from going bad. Although the service was originally scheduled for later, the part came in and Advantage Air rescheduled for sooner, only leaving our HVAC down for a few days. Even for the initial diagnosis, Jorge called ahead of time when he finished with another customer early, to take care of me sooner. I had originally purchased the unit from them as well, 4 years prior, and Jorge made sure to utilize the manufacturer warranty to save me a lot of money. This is the second time that we have called Advantage Air for service. They were able to schedule us within a couple of days, arrived on time, and quickly diagnosed the problem. They had to order parts, which took a while, but that is out of their control. They scheduled us as soon as the parts arrived and let us know that the technician was running a little bit late, which was appreciated. Once the technician arrived he quickly installed the parts and got our heater up and running. The price was very reasonable as well. I called service on my home central air in June 6, 2025. Response was quick and diagnosis was presented - a dying cooling fan motor of the unit outside the house. Parts: motor and accompanying capacitor, were ordered. I even provided the part numbers. In the meantime I checked the corresponding parts on line, from the manufacturer itself , on ebay and at Amazon. Motor and capacitor were replaced the following day and AC performance tested. AC unit, I must admit, performed much better and am actually satisfied with their superb technician, Jorge. Upon completion of work, bill was presented. It's rather unusual for a company like Advantage Air to provide a bill to a customer for services rendered without itemizing items like labor portion and parts portion, just one big number. I kept asking for an itemized bill 3x and was totally ignored. The shock however, was the cost of the parts replaced. It was 3x costlier than what the manufacturer - Bryant AC, ebay or Amazon would charge. So be wary, the technician knows his stuff but if the service requested includes replacing some parts, be warned. MRM read more

I received a "highly suggested repair work" to our A/C unit. It sounded highly suspicious and the cost was a little expensive, so I contacted Advantage Air to do a "diagnostic" check to see if I was being duped by the other vendor. I was scheduled within 28 hours and Andrea (?) Was very kind and professional. On the day of the appointment, i was updated on the Techs' arrival time. After looking at my unit, was told everything looked like it was in great shape and did recommend a cleaning as it appears the coils had not been cleaned in over a year, and he was right! When I explained to Jonathan the recommendation from the other company, he explained to me why that was not correct and went over the results of the "diagnostics" he performed. He explained our unit could last another 10 years with care and annual maintenance. I appreciate that he didn't try to upset me. Jonathan just let me know they were here for me if needed! I was looking for someone to service a gas wall heater at a rental unit I own in Long Beach. I called a few local companies and Advantage Air returned my request very quickly. The nice lady explained the service call cost, the cost for a cleaning, which included the initial service fee. Price was good so we made an appointment. The service technician Leonardo arrived after updating his arrival time by text messages. He explained and performed the cleaning and service. He offered to remove his shoes before entering the apartment, used a drop cloth and little vacuum to keep things clean. He got the heater to burn with a nice blue flame. AA has serviced and made numerous repairs on my AC system for years, and they are very honest about my options as the system gets older and parts get worn out. Another outfit last year simply told me my 2006 HVAC system is about to die, and they gave me a $20k estimate for a brand new system! I have had Advantage Air service my furnace and AC for several years. In fact they were the company who installed my AC many years ago. I have been very happy with the installation and the maintenance service over the years. I've dealt with a variety of technicians and they have mostly been very professional and competent. The only exception was one guy who came out several years ago and tried to upsell me a bunch of stuff, which I didn't appreciate. The support staff is always friendly and helpful. At the end of 2023, I had Advantage Air come to look at my central HVAC system, which I felt was not blowing air properly, and was not controlling its temperature properly. Basically, a tune up. Their technician came out and was very friendly. He looked at my compressor, and went up into the attic to look at my furnace. Neither model seemed familiar to him, but after calling back to the main office he claimed that my furnace was installed in 2020 (I have no idea, it predates my living in this home). His diagnosis was: "Yeah, you're fine; this is how it's supposed to work". We played some piano. I learned about dog breeding. I paid the $139 tune-up fee. I asked about updating my thermostat to enable remote control. The technician left. I never heard back about a possible update to my thermostat. What the diagnosis missed, but I have since learned: 1. My condenser has a coolant leak (not measured by the tech) 2. My condenser is surrounded by a wooden enclosure, restricting its air intake and reducing its efficiency & lifespan (declared "fine" by the tech) 3. My furnace was not installed according to code: no sediment trap on the gas line, no p-trap on the evaporator line, the furnace not lifted, and no drip pan under the furnace or evaporator (not mentioned by the tech) 4. the ductwork was done oddly, with many sub-optimal branches instead of fully using all the ports from the blower motor (not mentioned by the tech) I would give two stars because no harm was done, but not mentioning code violations that are in plain sight is a serious breach of the trust extended to experts, in my opinion. Maybe I could have asked different questions, or insisted that this is not how the system is supposed to work, and gotten a better outcome. It's a lesson learned to always contact multiple folks regardless of yelp reviews. read more

I called her back and she was very helpful in setting up an appointment on a day I was available. Her customer service was exquisite. She reminded me that my 3 year program was ending and if I wanted to renew. In minutes my renewal was completed. On the day of my check up, Leo arrived. I can not tell you his professionalism was write on point. He asked for permission to enter the home. He walked me through what he was going to perfom. When he was done, he explained to me everything that was done and told me that my system was in could shape and health. Today was our annual service and as always it was great service visit. David called me before showing up to let me know he was about 20 mins out and if it was okay to come over now for AC/Heating call. That was nice of him to do; that way I could get my dogs in the bedroom before he showed up. He checked thermostat, system in attic and the actual unit outside. He was efficient and cleaned up any messes.; and he even rolled up the outside garden hose that he used; which was nice.
