We inherited our system from the last homeowner, so we really had no idea what the issue was or how to go about fixing it. I had 2 other companies try to check out the problem, and 1 tried to re-do my whole HVAC system for 15k, and another never arrived when I scheduled an appt. Thomson felt like our last hope, and the technician Tom showed up, found the problem immediately, and fixed the issue in less than 15 minutes. It was just a simple clogged pipe that he needed to clean out. He also gave me a quick lesson as to how to prevent the issue in the future. My air conditioner went out years ago and they changed it out. At the time they also wanted to do my furnace I told them no which my furnace was still good for another couple years and then they came back changed a part on it saving me a little money but the. It went out so I had to shell up the big bucks for it. The value here I do think is better than other places but I wish they would work on the upsell a little bit because times are tough and we don't need that but I do trust this company for things I do need.

What the heck. Go down to the vent and measure the difference versus making holes in the new vents. He blew a fuse on the unit and had to get it new one He dirtied and damaged the paint on the ceiling. To clean the condenser, he just used a blower. Other companies wash it down. In summary, the tech made more damage than even helped.

Kirk was FANTASTIC! Our unit is 20 years old, we have never really had regular maintenance on it. He showed up super early (they asked if that was okay, and YES thank you). Before he arrived they sent a text with his name and photo. I absolutely love this! That extra safety is so important. Kirk looked at our unit and asked some questions. He explained all they do with the "family plan" so we signed up. I am one of those that needs to be reminded of scheduled upkeep so this is perfect. He gave us the estimate before he started and I asked for a very rough estimate of a new unit (having no idea) so we decided to go with repair and hope for the best. The repair wasn't cheap but considering all the work that needed to be done as well as it being an older unit, I feel it was a very fair price. I think we did have the best with Kirk. He was able to repair our unit and give it some much needed TLC for our AC unit and furnace. He even installed our pre-purchased thermostat! Kirk was polite and considerate. He took time to answer all of our questions and ensured us that we could reach out with any questions, I believe him. They sent another company, I didn't get any "pre-paid" service but was quoted $3,300+ to fix it. I was graciously offered a short term fix for $1,000+ and charged $89.00 for coming out. Bait & switch, I'll get my heater fixed by another company.
