We reached out to J Martin and they were incredibly responsive, came out the same day, quickly diagnosed the issue and had our AC repaired and running properly again. When it's this hot, getting someone out quickly is one thing -- getting the problem diagnosed and fixed the same day is another. The entire experience was professional, efficient and straightforward from start to finish. Really appreciate the urgency and quality of service. We'll absolutely be using J Martin again for any future HVAC needs and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone in the area.

Our excellent customer service began when discussing our project with Sergei, who was not pushy on…read moresales or services, just gave us honest thoughts about our particular system needs for our very old, inefficient and broken HVAC. We ended up with an all new heat pump system that is quiet and really efficient (17.5 SEER2). We already anticipated need for a new system since every tech that came in last 5 years said it was on its last leg, before it finally died during an extreme heat warning. The installation crew arrived on time, were very respectful of our garage items (helped move bikes to backyard and even used cloths to cover from the sun!), never complained about the working conditions (hot garage and tight garden area for fan unit), and were informative about the process. They also left our property very clean and tidy upon job completion after a single (and very hot) day of installation. As a bonus, I was not expecting the excellent craftsmanship of the lovely stainless platform cover over the new plywood they cut-to-fit for the removal of the old/damaged platform/box deck, and they used duct-board and sealant to finally make the interior of the intake under the unit sealed from all the walls and dust generation that has been blown throughout the home since the 1970s. Could not be happier with the end product as well as the process from inspection/quote to system startup. I would recommend Air Blue HVAC to my mom, friends/family, and to you! Give them an opportunity to earn your business as they offered us the best price on the best system. Thank you, Air Blue HVAC team!

One issue I have, however, is the lack of transparency with pricing. We paid $600 for a New Dual Run Capacitor and $500 for a new contactor relay switch. Everyone I've talked to since the repair has said that that's really expensive. I'll assume the additional price was because it was on a Sunday? I'll never know because I already paid and it's done. When my old system broke, James and his team came out right away, walked me through the different options, and took the time to make sure I was choosing the right system for my home and my family. James and his team are honest, hardworking, and genuinely care about doing the job right. It is easy to see why they have so many positive reviews. I received a competitively priced estimate from 1st Choice for a 5-ton Lennox heat-pump system…read more However, I decided not to proceed because the company refused to revise its initial estimate to include several important details and stated that the estimate would serve as the final contract. The proposal specified a variable-capacity heat pump even though we had discussed a two-stage system, but it did not clearly confirm how the equipment would operate with my existing zone control board. It also did not include the AHRI Reference Number needed to verify the exact system's certified efficiency, nor the requested surge protection. For a major HVAC installation, important equipment specifications and agreed-upon work should be clearly included in the written contract. Although the price was competitive, their unwillingness to revise the initial estimate left too much uncertainty for me to proceed.

I learned SO many things today about a/c units from him that I never knew!! He explained about the capacitor--been hearing that word for years but never knew it meant something sort of like a battery in the condenser unit (that big metal cube thing that sits in your backyard that powers all of the life-sustaining cold air in the house that keeps you from certain death during a heatwave...LOL!l), flushing the drain lines etc. Also learned how to do simple things like opening the drawer for the filter--DUH! I'm so lame, I'd been trying to open the big flat panel to put in a new filter for some time but gave up --then the other day I realized the drawer on the bottom was the thing with the filter, but because I'm arthritic, I didn't think I could pull it out. Alan made it real simple for me and showed me there's a latch on it that you squeeze and voila!--it just opens! For a year, I haven't been able to master that one simple trick--LOL!! Thank you so much!! Also found out I have more of my yearly membership left than I thought--great! I appreciate all of your help and service, Alan. Thanks again for everything! :D

This is my second time using Honorable Air and it was just as '5 stars' as my first review a few…read moreyears ago! - so I totally disagree with the negative review by Yvonne B (she even states she didn't even have the work done herself and her review seems fake to me!) This time I needed HVAC service because my Air Conditioner stopped working during this awful heat-wave and despite being super busy & being around a holiday weekend, Honorable Air was able to come out in less than 48 hours from when I called them - which is amazing and I really appreciated! Today I had the pleasure of having Jesse as my technician (he is the owner and brother of Jeremy who was the awesome technician I had last time). Both brothers truly are honorable, as I was charged fairly and given options for upgrading items on my unit. I never felt pressured and Jesse was very fair-balanced explaining what was optional vs his recommendations, etc. Jesse is very knowledgeable and kind! As a woman, often we ladies aren't treated as well by contractors, but that was NOT the case with Jesse! Jessie treated me very respectfully and never 'mansplained' me and never made me feel dumb (not even when one of the issues with the AC was something I could have easily remedied on my own). Jesse was extremely professional, attentive and considerate! Truly honorable!! The best part is that Jesse had the part I needed already in his work van, so he was able to install it immediately and I didn't have to wait for him to order the part or go pick it up - as he was able to fix everything the same visit! My house is already cool again and I'm so thankful that the entire experience was so fast and efficient! What I also appreciated was how Jesse educated me on preventative care for my HVAC unit so I can keep it running without problems/service for longer. I will totally put his tips to use - as one tip was that I wasn't changing my air filters frequently enough, which was putting unneeded stress on my system (and that is a simple fix to make!). I also had a question about some HVAC products I had seen online and he was able to give me his professional opinion that one was gimmicky/not worth my money but the other would be worth looking into. Overall, I'm super happy with my second experience with Honorable Air! Honorable Air is for sure my top recommendation for a HVAC company in Orange County!
