I love going to this place. I think this is one of my new favorites in this area. I love the fact that they have a band that plays on the weekends. The owner is very nice. Not to mention. The drinks were excellent. The facility is clean. everyone is friendly. I definitely will be returning to this place in the future. The vibe here was very friendly. This is a pretty small venue however nevertheless the beer menu has plenty to offer. Every Friday there is live band- so why not make a reservation and organize next after work! Food truck - (pizza) was parked outside and the pizza was brought inside so no need to linger outside. I saw several dogs tagging along. This brewery is definitely more diverse. My new favorite spot! This place was AWESOME and totally different than any other brewery I've been too. Walking in I was blown away with the decor and design of this place. Very Vegas show girl type of vibe. Curtains on walls, poker tables, and strobe lights. This place has it all! The beer was great, I definitely enjoyed it. I didn't realize they had a kitchen in the back, they also have food! I've never had Peruvian food before and I was blown away. It was so delicious, the noodles had amazing flavor. It didn't taste like anything I've had before and it was outstanding. I'd come back just for the food, but it's a plus the beer is great too. Spent a few hours here for a pop up event I was having along side many others and had the pleasure to try their Mojito seltzer, sooooo good! Let's just say there's 3 reasons why I would come back: awesome and friendly staff, especially Nick's mom and wife who made me feel super welcomed; the selzter's and the ambiance. Covid has me drinking more in 2020 than my whole adult life.... breweries are not even my jam. However, I came here to support a longtime friend's former coworkers, who are in the process of opening their business. Not only did I meet the owners, but I got a tour of the facility as well. They had live music and Peruvian food on Industry Night (again, not my thing- but if you bring your badge from bar/restaurant/casino/hotel/entertainment, you get 20% off all drinks Mondays from 3-8pm). I got to try about a half a dozen brews, and my favorites were the seltzer, stout, raspberry wheat beer, and the Wetsuit (which happens to have the highest ABV at 8%). We got a taster flight of 4 oz pours at three bucks a pop. I don't know tasting notes or standard beer prices to be able to expand on my experience further. This actually being my first time drinking at any brewery. And, I finished 2 tasters... making that more beer than I've ever had. While I don't see myself coming back on my own, if I do return, it will be nice to see the progress they make with the interior decorating and all the visions they enthusiastically shared with me. I honestly came more for the social aspect with this particular friend than the alcohol. No pros and cons section. But, if you are into the brewery scene, do make an effort to check this fledgling place out. You might find something you like! I went in for a yelp event and left extremely impressed by this new brewery. It has sort of a Vegas/Speakeasy vibe and the beer is incredible. I ended up trying the Razz, San Diego Ale, and the heff, and all three were absolutely delicious. They even have Peruvian food available which I hear is pretty authentic. You can order beer to go, and they literally fill and seal each can from the kegs if they don't already have it. Really looking forward to coming back! read more

Tip: the husband is an award winning home brewer and it shows in the brews. Been meaning to try Five Suits since it opened but the timing never worked out. Tonight was the night and too funny because we just got back from Vegas - literally got home about an hour ago and headed to the brewery. Decor is very Vegas - poker table as a counter/register, big overstuffed Liberace styles white chair, a Tropicana showgirl ad from a taxi on wall, and poker chips for food tokens. Staff is exceptionally friendly and service oriented. As a stout lover of course I ordered the Coconut Stout. Pretty decent Coconut Stout, somewhat smooth but more porterish than stout. Nice balance of coconut value without being overwhelming or suntan lotionish as other breweries Coconut stouts. All in all, I'd order it again. Hubby got the west coast IPA, Follow Suit, and the unfiltered IPA, Opening Night Haze. Friday night so I did the $8 hotdog and pint special and hubby got the ceviche. Being from Seattle and now living in Austin, I consider myself a hipster. As a hipster, it is my responsibility to seek out the best craft beer wherever I am. As I was visiting family in San Marcos, I decided to check out Five Suits. The head brewer is low key famous in the beer community. He's won some of the major Homebrew awards, which is sick! After tasting his beer, I can see why he's won so many awards. My personal favorites are the Pit Bos Hef, the Planet Nectaron, and the Mojito Seltzer. This beer is seriously some of the best beer I've ever had. On top of that, the ambiance and service is top notch. If you are in the area, this place is a must. I was hungry for Peruvian food and beer, so my sister and I met up at this location for a late lunch on the recommendation of a friend. The Brewery has a restaurant they work with called Al Toque (review on that soon). The owners were really nice and welcoming. The ambience is Old Vegas, and it works really well for this location. They have music later in the day, but not at lunch which was fine for us. This used to be the Old Barrel Harbor location, but they have definitely made it their own. We tried Black Fathoms Imperial Chocolate Stout which was great. Very much a dessert style but not overly sweet. Rich but not too rich for either of us. The Al Toque Peruvian Lager was really good. Paired so well with the food as refreshing and flavorful without being overpowering. For a nice place to hang out with friends or family, with good beer and food options, this is the place! read more

Great beer and great vibes!! Stopped in here tonight for a drink and what a great discovery this was! The beers are fantastic, with solid depth and variety - Kiai, the wet hop ipa was unique and super interesting, and Al Toque, the Peruvian lager, was an everyday crowd pleaser. What a wonderful world when not only is the beer good, but the environment is as well. Giving off old school Vegas vibes, with plush leather booths and velvet curtains and glowing neon signs, it's a great spot to stop in for a drink and feel transported to somewhere else for a moment. The place is a bit bare but the beer and entertainment was cool. We spent New Years at the brewery and had a great time. The service and servers were very pleasant. The beer was good and I only had one flavor as I wanted to check out a Hazy and they didn't let me down. The Planet Nectaron satisfied my needs! Sadly.... The food was not so good as I have had there in the past. They promised Peruvian food, which I had there before but unfortunately for some reason they had Ham sandwiches and Tijuana Hotdogs.... So, I am not a beer expert and not going to breakdown all the flavor notes however; this is some great beer hidden in an industrial park perfect for that secret rendezvous at a brewery with speakeasy/old school vibe. They currently have more than enough outside seating with music available and some great Peruvian food provided by Al Toque Peruvian Kitchen. The beers I loved the most were the Hefeweizen which apparently has won a lot of home brewer awards before the brewery opened and the Wetsuit which is a wet hopped San Diego style ale with some fruity notes that is delicious! They also have a Seltzer that is Mojito flavored that is really good if you have that random non beer drinking friend. Really cool brewery deep in the office parks of Vista as most are. The place has a great interior which sends you reeling off into an old Vegas style casino floor. The lighting is on point. The bar looks like a card dealers table which is a cool touch. The beers, cant forget about those. I tried the Hefeweizen which was great! I picked up a crowler of on of the IPA's in the end. The best Hef (Pit BOS, which garnered several high honor accolades in the homebrew circuit) I've ever had, the Wetsuit IPA tasting like an adult bowl of cereal (think hoppy Fruity Pebbles), and the Mojito Seltzer which is a must try and refreshing on a hot day.
