Had Five Guys this weekend and I always like coming here right after the movies across the way in City Center. The staff are pleasant and the burgers are great. I'm not one for the roasted beans that lay out around the place that other devour. Just not me. But it adds a nice touch to the place. Free refills on the soft drinks if you eat in. I've seen plenty of people going on in the reviews about the burgers being expensive. I don't think they are all that expensive. Maybe their just cheapskates? IDK. I think that with the amount of fries they stuff in your bag even when ordering a small fries, you get way more than you would at McD's which isn't good for you anyways with all those chemicals. The staff was incredibly rude while I was ordering. I was asking them for a patty melt which is something I've gotten at so many other Five Guys locations; and the server looked at me like I had 2 heads and refused to make it for me. 5 guys is a great concept the burgers are juicy and fresh and they give you a ton of fries but everything is al a cart, no combo meals here and they only offer American cheese n their burgers I prefer cheddar cheese or Swiss chasse on my cheeseburgers. Finally a decent fast food joint that is edible. Wait did I say fast food? It wasn't so fast. Five guys is one of my favorite burger places with the exception of the service in this one in White Plains. On my last visit I was excited to walk in to see no line. I ordered my burger and fries and sat down to wait while snacking on the free peanuts they offer. They called out a few orders were ready that were placed after mine. I noticed a to-go bag left by itself being ignored. After 15 minutes the employee finally stumbled upon the bag he had forgot about and called my order. I'm first time in five guys. They don't have picture menu like others. We have to order it by looking at the list on the board. I ordered a combo cheese hamburger. It's cost around 14 bucks. i make it a habit to support all local businesses in my white plains . and 5 guys burgers is my pick tonight for a quick bite. its located in downtown area near walmart, target, city center mall ,tgif( you get my drift). the joint was semi crowded for a sunday evening, lines move fast and wait is less then 5 minutes. the decor is typical 5 guys and place is kept clean. enough tables to seat a good size crowd and the big bag of free peanuts is the chains staple. the selections of drinks with free refills, is more then the food choices, burgers , hot dogs and fries, thats about it and i guess its good enough. the fries in the bag gimmick is ok , but bag does get a little greasy, but fries taste good and crispy and the cajun style has a good spicy taste. the hot dogs are juicy and the free added toppings are pretty decent especially the relish. now as for the burgers , i must say i had better and i had worst, but over a decent size juicy burger that works better with a topping like cheese or hot peppers. the prices are a little higher then other non nyc spots, but a package deal for burger, fries and drink should be something this chain should offer. overall a three star occasional grab a bite before or after shopping or a movie. read more

I went to White Plains Five Guys on way to movies with my son last night at 6:14pm according to cash register receipt. I had never been there before so didn't know what to expect. I was unpleasantly surprised that it took 20 minutes to get me order of two cheese burgers, two fries. The table set up is not good. Someone in house should check the configuration as diners may have moved the tables. Tight and disorganized is how I would describe it. The pictures of table set up in Yelp look more organized. When I ordered my Cheese burgers I did not know they were doubles. I must have missed that on the sign. The fries were one small and one medium. A medium order was probably enough for two. The fries came in two small cups then a bunch of fries were thrown into the bag? The bill including two waters was $31 which I thought was on the high side. The burgers were good and so were the fries. Next time I will order less. The menu sign should be revised to show the number of burger patties in each category and the uncooked weight of the burger patty and the fries could use a better description regarding servings in each size category. read more

I really like Five Guys food, but this location needs new management. It's filthy. Floors are actually slick and greasy feeling. We received the wrong food AFTER going back to ask them if they forgot us. We were standing at the counter waiting for our online order and no one was cooking! This is a glorified fast food restaurant. I have been to this establishment once before and never had a problem which is why I returned. I ordered a children's burger, a side of fries and a chocolate milkshake which totaled at $16.50...quite pricey for fast food but if it tastes good who cares. After ten minutes my food finally arrives and my friend starts drinking her vanilla milkshake. Immediately her face turned with disgust. She was disgusted because her milkshake had chunks of milk in it? I then realized my chocolate milkshake did as well but I originally thought it was chocolate chips LOL. When we told the cashier she was very combative denying the issue. Then she accepted her mistake and remade our milkshakes free of charge. Unfortunately, even after they remade them the mysterious chunks were in the shake. For this reason we were too disgusted to drink our $4 milkshake and were completely turned off by the establishment. On a positive note the burger and fries were as expected, which was okay. We did not completely finish our meals which was a positive in our eyes since they were each over 500 calories. I am not giving up on five guys as a corporation. However, I will not be returning to the one in downtown White Plains. Unless of course corporate or management resolves this issue as well as the many other terrible reviews on this page. read more

The burgers are always great and the Cajun fries are to die for, but the reason for my low rating is the staff, well more specifically, one female in particular. The first time I encountered her, I thought nothing of it, maybe she was just having a bad day. I came in another day and there was no line. There were 2 females behind the counter with their backs to the door, one of them was her. I said hi and neither of them acknowledged me. I'm mean I'm not expecting excellent customer service, but a simple greeting and a smile would go a long way. While taking my order she was rolling her eyes and just made it seem like I was bothering her. While they were making my food, they were gossiping about co-workers calling out because of hangovers and just talking about things that customers don't need to hear. Just by experiencing her bad attitude twice, makes me think twice about going back. And it's a shame because the food is awesome! read more

Was there two nights ago... Ok it's obvious the manager wasn't there or the owners...place was not that busy, and the place was dirty! I asked them to clean a table cause all of the empty ones were filthy... The girl came out wipe it off with a wet rag and that was it.. the floors were dirty the tables were dirty ... Not sure what the hype is regarding Five Guys in general. The burgers are ok, and the restaurant is messy. Somehow you are provided with free peanuts (I didn't have any on my table), and there are peanut shells all over the floor. There doesn't seem to be anyone assigned to cleaning tables or sweeping the floor. For an assembly line hamburger place, my burger took at least 20 minutes. If you don't hear them call out your number, your bag goes up on a shelf and sits. Smashburger is much better with cleaner restaurants and better trained staff, and is a much more civilized place to eat. read more

I ususally get the hot dogs here which are kosher and I find them juicy! I get relish, raw onion and mustard. I also like the Cajun fries but I don't love them. It's all about the crispness and I like mine mildly crispy and 5guys prepares them a bit more crispier than I like but the spice is good. I have had burgers from here as well. They are good! Juicy, made to order, not to thick. I'm not exactly a burger girl but I definitely like them. I think my favorite thing here is the fact they toast their buns. Not many places do that and to me, that makes my dog. I also like the fact everything is made to order, no food sitting around under hot lights. So I think as far as fast food goes, this place is very good. Ohhhhh and I like the free shelled peanuts! I think that's a cute gimmick! After seeing this place many times and seeing all the praises they posted about themselves from various outlets on the window, we finally went in. The first thing to know is the menu which can be confusing. I thought "Little" hamburger/cheeseburger meant the kids menu. It was long after I ordered that I overheard another table talking about how "little" meant single patty and the non-little(?) meant double patty. This place is just like a Subway. You can add all kinds of vegetables to your burger with a penalty. The penalty isn't monetary it is a handling penalty. You cannot keep your burger from falling apart should you order too much (just like a Subway sandwich). The fries were soggy and cold. They put some of the fries in a paper bag and some of the fries in a cup. It is not just a couple of fries in the bag it is a second cup full. I wonder why they bother with the cup at all. The cup traps all the heat and makes the fries soggy. The burger itself tastes fine. It is nothing special but nothing to complain about since I did not order a lot of vegetables but watched a few people's burgers fall apart. The free peanuts is nice (unless you are allergic). We were wondering what was to stop someone from filling their bag with peanuts then leaving. Our question was answered when someone did just that. The guy dropped the bag on the floor but caught it before it could tip over and spill the peanuts all over the place. Overall, this is a standard fast food place. read more

If I couLd give this place zero stars I would. The dude down the block at the deli from my house makes a better burger (and keep in mind he uses a flat top, and frozen burgers). A little f***in salt and pepper wouldn't kill yah, burgers just taste like plain beef. It cost over 10 dollars for a burger with fries, and a soda. The fact that it cost over 10 dollars for an average plain nothing special not even that big burger is a disgrace to the food service industry. I myself am a cook at a burger joint, and It is blasphemy that people would call this nazi-esk establishment "good". Not just is the food terrible, but you will most likely wait inline for 20 mins for your burger, and you will most likely be missing toppings.
