We ordered the chicken fingers for my daughter, per suggestion of our server. She enjoyed them. They do not have kids meals. If we had one recommendation, it would be to over kids meals for children. We had a great time. The staff was super laid back and the kind. The servers did seem a bit overworked and were trying to manage a full dining room with just two of them. It worked out fine with our timing though. I'd venture back. Good experience.

Went with a group and we all agreed that everyone's food was "just ok" - not horrible, nothing stood out, and the fries were definitely too salty for my personal taste. I hadn't been in many years -- the location near me closed, and with so many other options around Rochester, it's not a place I often think of. This visit reminded me why the brand has stuck around for decades. Inside, the restaurant has a fun retro feel, and despite a busy lunch rush, service was prompt and friendly. I ordered the Wahlburger, which I'd oddly never tried before. It's their classic cheeseburger built on a soft, fresh bun with a seasoned beef patty, melted American cheese, shredded lettuce, diced onions, pickles, a slice of ham, and their signature tangy Wahl sauce. It arrived looking pretty plain and unassuming, but that first impression didn't tell the whole story. The patty was nicely cooked, the bun was great, and the combination of ham with that killer sauce made the whole thing surprisingly delicious. I'd absolutely order it again. The fried cheese curds were the star of the meal. They looked like they might be heavy, but they were light, crisp, and delicious. The cheese inside was mild and unexpectedly perfect. I could have eaten a whole second order. The mac salad, usually my favorite side, was just okay -- good but not great. It needed a bit more salt, though I still finished it. All in all, while I wouldn't necessarily drive across town just for it, this was a solid lunch spot and a fun throwback. I'm sure I'll return with coworkers, and I'm already planning a visit with my son -- he'll absolutely go nuts for those cheese curds.

We made our orders on the mobile kiosk . We ordered french fries with cheese sauce on the side a holiday cookie shake, which is sugar cookie, frozen custard top with whipped cream and sprinkles, a big Shack and a regular Shack burger. Everything was delicious, but I do have to say that I ordered my burger well done and I noticed it wasn't, but that's okay. I also really like in Henrietta that they have a drive-through, but they're lacking here in Greece which is sad. I hope to come back soon and try there sticky coffee, pudding shake that sounded really good. They were out of it at the time we went.

First experience with shake shack ever. Found it to be okay, nothing amazing…read more We were greeted by a lovely girl who asked if we were paying cash or credit. I don't even know what I was ordering..... but she explained to me that if I'm paying with cash I should order at the register, if I'm paying with card, I should use the kiosk. There are four kiosks nothing irritates me more than these kiosks everywhere you go now. Where is the Customer service??? Anyhow, I asked the same young lady what this "shack sauce" was like, she has said it's hard to explain, it's mayo base with some paprika in it. She said it's kind of like chipotle sauce. I asked if it was smoky? She said that I would have to try it myself. Dang, if it literally didn't taste like mayonnaise with paprika. I gotta tell you. I was really disappointed in its lack of flavor. Maybe because we're all used to an orangey looking sauce having more flavor to it? Anyway, I ordered a cheeseburger with my specified toppings and the shack sauce on the side. My burger came out with tomatoes on it, which I did NOT order. Glad I could easily pull them off. I do wish I asked for extra pickles because I could hardly taste the ones that were on there. I had initially asked for Mayo on my burger and the cashier pointed to the Mayo packets on the counter. I also asked for water and she pointed to the paper cups and water dispenser at the counter. ROOM TEMPERATURE WATER..... ugh, no thanks. Had to ask for a side of ice. I heard a customer at the next table over talking at the about onion rings but I did not see them on the menu board. I also saw a photo of a French onion burger but no price on that either. My total was. $12.40... The cashier asked me if I was paying with cash or card and I said cash and I handed her the $12.45. She proceeded to ask me if this was exact change??? (Do these kids not know how to count cash?). So anyway, I told her no, there will be five cents change and I headed her off and I said and I'll take the receipt, please. Overall, I might come back.... But am in no rush.

I know in Rochester there's garbage plates everywhere because it's what Rochester is known for and I've tried many places but Charlie's wins, hands down. Highly recommend. I will be returning!
