My hubby & I went one night, near closing so maybe that's why the food wasn't all that. A friend of mine was so ecstatic with her description of the food here, so we wanted to try it out. Needless to say I was very disappointed. The hamburger meat didn't taste seasoned. Maybe they thought all the toppings would make up for it, it didn't..... The prices are a bit much. 5$ for fries? They give you a lot of fries, but the soggy cold fries they gave us... they could have kept. You could easily buy one fry for 2 people. read more

Disappointed! I ordered a bacon cheeseburger takeout but just got a cheeseburger. This is important because it is a rare treat for me to go to Five Guys. Also, the employee putting together the french fries filled the cone, then looked at me waiting (there were no other orders) and dumped just a few fries rather than the usual generous serving. read more

Best Burger EVER! I knew about Five Guys a long time ago. I was so excited to see one here in Tucson. In my opinion, the beef patties and fries are much better than In n Out. The burgers are bigger and juicier. The fries taste better and they give you much more. But those with a peanut allergy beware...everything here is cooked in peanut oil. read more

Best burger chain I've ever had. They cook their burgers well done but manage to maintain the juciness that I've come to expect from an awesome burgers. All burgers are fully customizeable which adds to the experience. If you take it home the burgers are wrapped in foil which keeps them warm on the long ride home. read more

We ordered cheeseburgers, fries and sodas. Five Guys offered a large array of toppings available free, with premium toppings for an additional price. The tab for our order (two people) was about $30. The meat was very well-done, though not burnt. They didn't allow us specify any cooking time less than well-done. Our impressions: Well, in my opinion, the burgers are definitely hyped-up more than they deserved; the burgers were bland... except for the toppings. The meat was juicy (but flavorless). The bun was bland and dry. The fries, IMO, tasted old and not crisp, as if they were heated in a micro. If I'm going to spend $30 for a premium burger joint, I'd prefer to get food that tastes better than the golden arches or another similar establishment. The Five Guys (Campbell locatiion) offered free peanuts... The food we purchased, was mediocre, in my opinion, not worth the hype nor the price. read more

Way overpriced, and way over-hyped. Went there for lunch, and the place was so noisy, my husband and I could not hear each other talk. I had to ask the girl at the counter if she was kidding when my total came to almost $20 for each of us to get a burger, reg. fries and a medium drink. My burger was OK, but hardly any taste to it, and I thought it was small. I got the grilled mushrooms and grilled onions on mine, but they only have American cheese, when I would have preferred to have Swiss with the mushrooms. I was very disappointed, after hearing all the hype about the place. In my opinion, In'N'Out is better for the price, and Monkey Burger is a better burger. read more

Went here today to get a quick lunch, it was an expensive lunch of almost $12 and all i got was a cheeseburger and shake. It was good but expensive and the only reason i went there is because of convenience to where i work. Then after eating it i entered it into my calorie counter and OMG 850 calories for a burger!! Well if i would have known that prior to going i would have gone elsewhere but still in the same sense if you like burgers then they are good, but tough on the wallet. read more

OMG some people are so retarded here in Tucson!! These are the best burgers in town. In and Out has nothing on this place. If you want just a crappy burger, don't want to wait then get your butt to Jack In The Box. Of course it's a little more for their burgers but give them a brake, they are offering like 15 toppins for free..... The patty tastes like plain ground beef, and the bun tastes like those generic mushy buns. A hamburger here has 700 calories, and it's not worth the calories. Give me McDonalds, Zinburger, or In-N-Out any day. Just because you add 10 toppings to your burger does not mean it is a nice blend. Meh, I've experienced better! read more

I think this burger place is the best in terms of best fast food burger. When you buy a burger you have the option of selecting which toppings you want included in it, which is all free. Some of the toppings include grilled mushrooms, tomatoes, pickles, ketchup, jalapenos, and grilled onions also which is really good. The burgers are pretty big and the fries are pretty tasty also, they are made fresh. I had the bacon cheeseburger which cost $6.19 so it's a decent price. read more

we had to try out the new burger joint in town...i was completely let down. first of all was the price, for 3 burgers, 1 fry, and 1 drink, the total came to $25. That is way too much for what I thought wasn't exceptional food. The burger was ok...not much flavor. The frys were ok...kind of blah. I would much prefer In-n-Out in a heartbeat. The music was WAY too loud...the poor old lady next to us had her ears covered the whole time. We asked to turn it down and they did but not much. I don't think I would go back unless they lowered their prices or I had a free coupon. Not sure what all the hype was about. read more

The only thing I can see that puts this place in a different category over other burger places if that the meat didn't seemed like a preformed patty. Other than that, the burgers seemed quite flavorless, even with the smorgasbord of topping choices. I prefer Kenny D's to this place, but it seems popular so I hope it stays open for the sake of the folks who enjoy it. Tucson doesn't have enough good burger places :) read more

Should I compare Five Guys to In-N-Out? No, since Five Guys costs as much as a sit-down restaurant burger and In-N-Out sells a decent fast food burger for cheap, you can't compare them. A cheeseburger, fries and a drink will cost you $11.20. I could go to any sportsbar and pay that for a better burger and service, while watching the game. The burger was good for a fast food burger (no better, no worse than In-N-Out), but not a restaurant burger. Pure, overpriced hype. read more

We finally ate at Five Guys after much local hype and I have to say the hype was pretty justified. The burger was very good and the fries were first-rate. It's still a fast food burger and shouldn't be compared to what you get a proper restaurant but I think Five Guys burgers compare favorably to In-and-Out's. read more

If I never eat at this restaurant again it'll be too soon. For a restaurant with so many awards, it really didn't live up to its hype. The music is so loud you can't hear the person right next to you. This is then countered by the people in the kitchen yelling at each other in attempt to overpower the terrible music. The prices are another issue at this establishment. This restaurant prides itself on having low prices, yet a cheeseburger with the smallest fries and the smallest drink they offer comes to over $11. However, the price wasn't the worst thing; the food is terrible. To me it was as if they took a burger from McDonald's, wrapped it in their own packaging and tripled the price. Save yourself from the worst meal in Tucson and avoid this restaurant. My advice, go to Lindy's of 4th street where you'll spend less and get a lot more; quality and quantity. read more

I finally went to a 5 guys with a friend and my mom. I wasn't impressed at all. The burger was okay, fries, were nothing special, and it was kinda gross. Tables weren't wiped off and the people behind the counter looked like they were sweating into the food. The worst part was we went when it was relatively slow. I had Five Guys about 2 weeks ago and I may come back if I want to spend a lot of money for a burger and fries. It was a very good burger and fries but way too expensive. I spent $26 for two burgers, fries and drinks. I could have gone to In-N-Out Burger for more than half as much and just as good of food. The food is very good but way too expensive. read more

The burgers are simply very greasy and too messy. The fries are bland. They serve Coke drinks only, which I did like, no shakes. I'd say In N Out does a much better burger. On the plus side, the place was clean and the service was fine. I liked the ability to get the all the condiments you want on it. read more

For fast food, I'll take this over many of the others out there. The burgers are always made fresh right there along with the fries. Many different toppings on the burgers. You can order a single patti (Little Burger) or the regular Hamburger, which is a double patti. Yes they are a little greasy, but that makes a good burger. If you are a health nut then this place is not for you; however, I enjoy a good burger once in a while. The fries are fresh cut and you can choose between cajun or regular. They give you a lot of fries! They have shelled peanuts to eat while you wait for your order. The prices are a little higher, but worth the extra buck or so than McDonald's or Jack n The Box. The service has always been good here. Some people complain the ambiance is lacking, but they need to remember that this is fast food and not an intimate upscale restaurant. So expect some noise and plain looks. read more
