Terrible service. The girl didn't know what any of the food was or how to explain it. Took her 10 minutes to ring me up for a hot dog and a cheeseburger. Literally. Then food comes and it's literally a plain hot dog w no condiments and a cheeseburger with nothing on it. I had to go ask for all the condiments. Also really surprised they don't have a kid menu? 25$ for a tiny plain cheese burger and plainest hot dog and a soda. Ridiculous! this is a real, honest to God review. i live down the street & we've had problems with the service here over the past few months. let's start with today. we place a phone order. my friend goes to pick it up. the girl asks if he was going to tip her. WHAT...? oh no she didnt...! yes, yes she did. when he replied, "thats an awkward question" he then put $1 in the giant tip jar in front of his face. her reply at that point was: "gotta hustle how we can". then she walks to the "cook"/"fry guy" & tells him "did you see how he looked at me? i just asked him to tip. his reply was "FUCK THAT". ok, i mean, why would you say that while he's standing there a foot away & can hear every word you've said...? i dont know if this part is true, or where it started, but the term/word "tips" is: "To Insure Proper Service" the following phone call to the manager at the time was a waste of time. now the food is good, hopefully the guy that said "FUCK THAT" didnt spit in our food... the service there though is 15o% not cool...! i go to Susie Cakes damn near 3X's a week. i'll get a cupcake & a bottle coke & TIP THEM at least $3-$5 every time. do you wanna know why...? because they are all pleasant & smile & greet you when you walk in the place. they are helpful, answer questions without sarcasm or being condescending. oh, they never mess up either. ive never gotten a smashed cupcake or broken cookies. they ask if i want my bottle of Coke opened... good customer service is rewarded with a good TIP (see definition above please) so if you're going to this location for the food, yes, the food is good. but be prepared to be treated like what you've read in these reviews. if more than a few people complain about the same thing (customer service) think about it... once again my peeps, EAT WELL... read more

Been hearing so much hype about this place on TV and articles and stopped in to the new Studio City location. Very disapointed! Way over priced. A cheeseburger, fries and a drink will run you over $10. Personally, I prefer the Habit 1/2 mile away for about half the price, which also has much more variety. The regular sized burger (double), fries and drink will run you $12. About twice the price of In N out and the Habit. Both of which I believe are on Par with Five Guys. LA has so many hamburger joints. Five Guys really isn't bringing anything special to the table folks! I suspect they will be busy in the short-term while customers get to try them out, but in the long run, Price will prevail and customers will revert back to the lower priced competition. read more

Sorry but there's no comparison between Five Guys and In-N-Out, the latter doesn't even come close. I frequented Fatburger before this Five Guys opened and don't think I've been back since. The "little hamburger" is a single patty, about double the mass of InO. The "regular hamburger" is just a double. Ordered "all the way minus mushrooms" seems to work best. I like mushrooms but they just don't seem to work on this burger. I wasn't impressed the first time I ate there but the deletion seems to have solved the problem. Others I've made this suggestion to have confirmed my findings. Fries are great and much more flavorful than InO. Service is also spectacular. read more

Simply put, Five Guys is the best fast food burger you can get. I don't event think this should be classified as a fast-food place. All the food is cooked to order. Nothing is pre made and waiting for you. It''ll take about 10 minutes for you to get your meal. You can pretty much have any topping that you want with no extra charge (except bacon). The patties are juicy. And the fries...best fries you will ever find. I'm not a fan of the cajun fries but that's just me. They also have hot dogs which is also pretty good. My only two complaints are that you only get your burgers well done and there are no turkey burgers, but I do think they might have vegetarian burgers. The menus pretty much beef burgers and fries. If you're looking for a healthy menu, don't come here. There are also no shakes but I personally think a shake would not go well with this meal. It would be too much. The only problem with this location is parking. If you can't find a spot in the small underground garage, then you have to find street parking and good luck with that. But it'll be worth it! In-N-Out is like a high school school cafeteria compared to Five Guys. One last thing - If you have a peanut allergy, don't come here. Everything is cooked with peanut oil, and there are free peanuts to east as you wait. read more

The burger. So many places do it, so many variations. This place is kind of like In and Out. The staff was friendly and helpful. The fries were hot and the spice mix was good for the people who like seasoned fries. The burger itself was a bit disappointing. The patty was really really small and the condiments were okay. The bun did hold everything together but it wasn't anything great. The first bite was like In and Out and it just repeated itself after each bite. You need a lot of ketchup or sauce or something for this burger so I wouldn't come back again if I had other burger options. But the price is reasonable and it's a good place to take children as the floors were already very dirty and not swept. read more

We ate there the other night a couple of weeks ago. Bf had the veg burger which is really just a cheeseburger with the works with no meat patty. I had a cheeseburger which was alright. The meat seemed less than the slice of tomato that came with my cheeseburger. Needless to say it's disappointing to pay 5.50 range for a cheeseburger with barely any meat in it. Bf liked his food. The fries were awesome and the complimentary peanuts were the highlights for us. I've eaten at another Five Guys in Newport Beach and I enjoyed my cheeseburger there. I'll give this place another chance one of these days or years yet I'm more apt to eating at another location instead. read more

Those prices. 12-13 dollars for a simple burger fries drink combo? You could go to In-N-Out twice for the price of going here once, and IN-N-Out is as delicious, though yes, different. I've only been to this place once but definitely will be back. Burgers are build your own. They do have a smaller burger size FYI because burgers are on the larger size. You have your choice of cheeses and toppings (both veggie and meat). The ONLY thing I wish they would offer is a choice of sauces. I like 1000 Island on my burger but they don't offer it. Not sure what In N Out everybody is going to, but the one's I've been to serve snacks, not meals. Five Guys actually fills you up. The portion of skinny ugly fries you get at in n out are what they throw in the bag on top of your food at FG with REAL POTATOES. No comparison. In N Out is for tourists. Five Guys is for people who like to leave full, not searching for more food. Plus In N Out is always dirty! At least FG keeps it clean and has good customer service. read more

It's nice to see workers having so much fun at work yet tending to the customer and keeping it professional. I'm a huge fan of Five Guys, and have been going since they only had a few locations in Virginia. The burgers and fries are terrific and fresh, and who among us non-allergic types doesn't like free peanuts? Unfortunately, I have to deduct a star at this location in Studio City, CA. 3 out of 3 times that I have gone there with my girlfriend, one of our orders has come out wrong. If the cooks can't read the tickets that are correctly printed for them (we checked), they're not doing a basic function of their job. I have to attribute this problem to an apparent lack of hands-on management at this location. We'll keep going to Five Guys, but the Studio City location should at least offer prizes, since we take a gamble every time we order there. read more

Personally, I am voting for Five Guys as a much better burger than establishments such as The Habit, Fat Burger and In N Out (although In N Out will always remain a close 2nd for me......)..........The "Jr Cheeseburger" is still a large hamburger with all the junk on it, same bun and patty barely smaller than the regular.......don't need the full on Cheeseburger size as that is for hungry gluttonous binges after getting wasted....and who needs 1,000 calories for just the reg cheeseburger, Sadie Sue......and look at your waistline and muffin tops, kids, do ya really need a big ole reg size cheeseburger...yeah thought not, pudgy....just kidding, y'all...I hope you enjoy the food as much as I have...XOXOXOXO read more

Came here for the VERY first time only because I had to pick up some bagels for an event we're doing tomorrow right next door. So I've been starving ALL day, it's 4:00 p.m. Why not have a burger? I came in, the cashier (Elpidio) & the cook (the young man with piercings & tattoos) sorry I forgot to ask his name! Shout out to them for being so helpful and kind with my first experience! The burger was delicious. So much flavor. The fries? TO DIE for. I loved it. I will be back, probably to this very location bc I had such a good experience. Definitely recommend. They come around and check up on how you're doing and ask if everything's okay. So thank YOU guys, for being patient, explaining the menu, and wishing me a great day.
