I've never been there before I ordered a cheeseburger fries and a pop. The cheeseburger was 1099 and it was pretty good. The fries were 599 and they were awful greasy too salty soaked right through the bag and the small Diet Coke was three dollars. It was nearly $21 and they asked for a tip with absolutely no service. The managers at this store make the store worth visiting. I travel the United States and this is probably the best five guys; with the highest energy employees and best customer service. We enjoy our meal here yesterday around 530 pm. Manager seemed to be keeping his team on track and they were cranking out the orders. Since the orders from north port coco plum have been absolutely terrible we thought we'd give this location a try, even tho they're all owned by the same franchise. We dined in due to starvation. As one patron answered to how you doing- hungry! The meal was so satisfying and filled our hunger hole lol. They have those new fancy soda machines here. I still think five guys has started to be a little stingy with the extra fries . I also hate when employees go around spraying cleaner to wipe down the tables while people are eating , this happened at the end of our meal. We normally eat at 5 Guys in Sarasota or North Port, but they have been closed at Cocoplum. Thought we would head a little further south in Pt Charlotte for our burger fix. First of all the place is filthy. No clue when they might have swept or wiped tables. One girl seemed to be the only worker. Several in back. The scuzzy hair guy on the grill needs to remove some of the grease from his hair and tie it back when he's working with food. Well maybe 'working' is too strong of a word for him in his slow-mo style. I'm sure this is but a stopover on to a job that befits his status in life. Clean up your act dude. We left. Took my family to five guys tonight. As we walk in, there are 6-7 red shirts behind the counter. As we walk up to order, 3 employees were having a discussion. I had to interrupt them just for us to order. So we ordered 3 burgers and a large fry which is usually plenty for the 3 of us. They screwed up one burger ( no big deal, they fixed right away. But I also asked about them cutting back on fries. They looked at me with a blank look. Told them, I should have ordered a small for this amount. Employees were rude or just non responsive. Who ever was in charge of fry station and passing out orders needs more training on acknowledging and communicating with who's waiting on their order as well as making sure the order is correct. I got in waited about 5 mins to be acknowledged because I didn't want to be rude and stop him, so I just waited till he was done and I saw he started looking around. He still didn't acknowledge me, so I had to ask him about my order and he checked and spotted my order, then said okay let me get your fries ready. Then he drop some fries but gave it to someone else who got there after me! It's a good thing I was watching him because he would of forgot one of my fries he told me my order was ready and I reminded him he's missing one more large fry. He also missed some fries for the customer he gave before me. I was upset because my burgers have been done before I got there I got there at 7:20 that way I just pick up and go because I'm sure it's busy I wanted to give them more time but I didn't leave till 7:47pm. Got home and my burgers are not even warm! I spent $91.00 and including tip. I will no longer tip until I receive my order and I will no longer return to this location. read more

Most Five Guys I've eaten at are excellent. This particular location at 1900 Tamiami Trl, Port Charlotte, FL is the exception. A few days ago I went in there and ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger and a Cherry Milk Shake, costing over 13 dollars. The burger took about 15 minutes. After waiting another 15 minutes I asked the cashier to please make my shake. He brushed me off and continued to wait on customers who arrived over 20 minutes after me. I finally left disgusted after a half hour. The burger buns were saturated with grease from waiting so long and I never received the shake that I paid for. I'm really disgusted with these people and won't be back. read more

I am a huge fan of 5 guys I've been to severall different locations and this one was the Least satisfying thus far. I ordered a double cheeseburger no Bun in a bowl a little fry And a regular drink it came out to $11 some change.. I went to sit down at a table & all the tables were dirty, it took more time than usual to get my meal. With that being said I got my meal opened it up and the patties were extremely small mind you I've been to several 5 guys such as Fort Myers Sarasota and Bradenton and I've never had this experience so I got up I ask the young gentleman if this is normal that the patties are so small he says yes that's the regular size I said are they both the same size he says yes I turned to over the cheeseburger in the bowl and the other cheeseburger was bigger in size he says they're all the same size the just cook different I mean if you saw the Burger it was seriously little. And I said well that's not what I usually get he said well that's what we have and so being hungry I sat down and started eating then I realized that it's overcooked and super dry I've never had hamburger at 5 guys that was cooked like this. First and last time at the Five Guys Northport Restaurant. The hamburgers were over cooked and dry. The lettuce didnt cover the burger and the tomatoe slice was very small too. The fries were good, but were served in a small paper cup with the majority of them laying at the bottom of the brown paper serving bag under the hamburgers.
