You need to go back to the way you used to make burgers and add back the thicker patties. These are disgusting now.

Now I hate writing this review but I love checkers and I'm not giving the one star because of the taste of the food. I'm giving it because the employees that work at this location just don't give a shit. The guy at the window working on November 29 at 6:00 PM read my order back correctly minus the cheese burger mix up but when o got my food NOn of the cheese burgers were correct I think the size of the shakes were switched I ordered a classic burger all because I wanted lettuce and I got a burger with no lettuce cold cheese when I asked for sauce cheese just so half assed if you don't like your job get a new one the kid at the window was rude and rolled his eyes such a shame read more

This is probably a location that's been here for a number of years so it is a little ran down. The service was very good and it was a typical checkers hamburger, a little saltier than I like but it was nice and tasty. You can tell that there is damage from Ian That has not been repaired yet. The young lady taking the orders has been there for over 20 years and was very delightful to talk with. Ample parking and outside seating. read more

customer service is absolutely horrible they all act like they hate there job and don't want to be there just because they need to help with some thing read more

It was very good! I really enjoyed the food and the staff was nice. I will definitely becoming back to this place for seconds

With all the times I come here or order late nights food. Theres probably 3 items that we ordered that never came the way we asked for it.

I.e. checkers and embarrassing amount literally maybe 28 days out of a month it's ridiculous. I'm embarrassed, but it's true. I love checkers me and my husband I never ever complained about the food. Why would you complain about something you love but the first time I ordered something different. I got the chicken bite box. It was horrible. I wanted to exchange it for just more fries and the lady gave me the hardest time in the universe. Was crying she was really mad. She kept trying to ask me if I want the chicken that I spit out remade no, why would I want that? I don't want that. I just wanted more fries. The manager was so kind he didn't even need to speak to me. He just gave me an extra and then she's chasing him around and telling him no because that would be a $.60 up charge and she's just like flipping and then gives me a smaller fry and I just felt like she was very unprofessional very ridiculous. It honestly made me never wanna get checkers to my money again she was the most weirdest person I think I ever encountered in my life checkers do better. Your food is great. Your employee is she even gave me a fake ranch like the rancher they used for the sandwiches she put in a clear cup me the normal ranch everything that could be wrong with a person is wrong with her. I've never left a review. This is my first ever food review in my entire life, so I'll let that speak for Itself read more

Typical fast food eats and pace. Drive-thru was kind of spooky, they have an AI taking your order. However, I will say she was quite polite and my order was accurate. These drive-thrus used to have two-sided lanes, but now the left lane is dedicated to app and delivery orders. Staff was pleasant, however got the "no one wants to work" spiel from the teenager working the window register. My provided food was accurate, I gor just what I ordered. Tried the "Monsterella" sticks--don't bother. They were fine, but 1) NOT monster-sized or taste and 2) lower quality than ither fast food chains like Arby's. My Big Buford was status quo, and seemed fresh. One frustrating aspect was that they provided no napkins...not cool Checkers! read more

I preorder everything on my phone to save some time and I purposely avoid the lunchtime rush since this location is at a major intersection for retail. I never have a problem and the people serving me never have an attitude and are friendly most of the time but never rude. The food is always prepared right and tastes like the typical items I always get at Checkers locations when it's done right. No complaints. read more

I went here with my mom and my sister and we have waited 25 minutes in line and waited 20 minutes at the window. Half of the order was correct but the other half wasn't. My sisters order was correct. My mom's order was not correct. And I ordered a cheeseburger with ONLY ketchup and cheese. And they gave me a regular burger with onions, lettuce, tomato, and mustard. But the burger they gave me was kind of delicious. I will not come back. read more

When i didn't order fast enough, the lady at the window made it seem like it was the biggest inconvenience in the entire world, not to mention i was the only one in line. I also got a 3 piece chicken tender combo, but as you can see in the photo, i got 2 1/2 chicken tenders. read more

First time ever going to checkers two cheeseburgers, cold, cheese, not even melted wow

Fast delicious and reasonable! Friendly staff and I've yet to have an error. The fried fish really should NOT be something to get excited about but it is!! ONLY issue: I ordered extra tartar sauce and was charged $.25 for each sandwich and they weren't SLATHERED! I'm not a fan of paying for condiments so it would be nice if that changed. Next time I'll be more specific. read more

Rallys, Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte, Here is my 2 cents. Saw this two dollar ad on TV. I am from ,the not so golden state of California. I was in the area. MMM this burger was pretty good ,better than my last forever from( McDee) Fries ok not so bad either. 2 dollars well spent. read more

TAKE ALL MY MONEY! The mozzarella sticks could not have been more perfect! And their French fries don't even compare to any other place! Everything was hot, fresh, cooked perfect and extremely delicious! This was just a quick stop at checkers and I wish I could have spent all day here. read more

Checkers is a huge scam and ripoff! You don't talk to an actual person to order it's all automated.. we ordered 2 chicken tender combos and they offered ONLY medium or large.. so I chose medium.. the price on the menu was 7 and change.. but they charged me almost 10.. then charged extra for for the dipping sauce! In every other restaurant in the US the dippin sauce COMES with the chicken tenders.. nope not here charged me 1.50 for 2 sauces.. I'd rather go to burger king from now on.. over 35 bucks for 2 cheese burgers and 2 - 3pc chicken tender combos! Rip off .. I will NEVER eat at Checkers again.. I can eat better and cheaper at long horn steakhouse... not to mention the so called manager has ZERO customer service skills and she's rude as Fu*k.. NOT RECOMMEND!!! Zero stars .. I only chose One star because I was forced to F Checkers! I used to love it, used to be my fav place to eat.. but nope! Never again!! read more

Day 3 of my explosive diarrhea from eating the new "stuffed" burger from here. I am writing this review from the toilet (so you know how serious I am) I only wish I was kidding. This place is crap. Literally. read more

So over overtime the girl with the annoying high pitch voice takes my order she messes my shit up. How the hell I order a double cheeseburger combo and I get a Large drink and 2 medium fries like. Please bring the guy back to the window when he works my orders are perfect read more

Sunday 7/14/2019 4pm Never been to checkers, Moved down from the cold North to Port Charlotte a year ago. Heard the burgers were good. Ordered two Baconzilla burgers, fries and 2 of their steak sub-type sandwiches they are currently advertising for 2 for $7. Was told after ordering I would have to wait, while they cook new meat. We ended up waiting 25min, the girl came out and apologized for the wait, which is nice, but 25min come on? When we arrived home all the meats had enough salt for a small village, which made it barley enjoyable. There are plenty of other places to grab a decent burger, I will not be returning, checker had their chance. read more

This place should get less than a star. Perhaps a quarter of a star for the Diet Coke I had. The wife and I visiting Florida were driving to our destination late. She said let's stop at Wendy's and get a quick burger. I pleaded to stop at Checkers because it was something we never tried before. The Burgers are the WORST I've ever had. They are cheep but you definitely get less than what you pay for. Took two bites and threw the rest in the garbage. Looked like a giant piece of chewing gum flattened out in a bun. Disgusting!!! Horrible service as well but I'm not going into details about that nightmare. I can't believe this place is not out of business. People in the South must have no tastebuds. This was ridiculously bad!! A joke. I kept thinking a camera was on me. One more place to chalk up on the "never be back again" board. We actually ended up going back over to Wendy's for an average burger which was a whole lot better than Checkers. read more

My entire experience was not pleasant. After being rushed at the box by a quite rude employee, we proceeded to the window where the rudeness was continued. When out food was ready, she practically shoved it in the window. I do not recommend this location. read more

Went to the drive through at 12:20 p.m. on 12-7 -20. Order two meals on waited to get to the window. Once we got to the window we paid and then waited and waited with many cars behind us. The cashier finally asked what our order was and we told her a second time. Sometime later she handed us a bag of food that was nothing like what we ordered. We handed it back and now this line hasn't moved but we watched about a dozen cars get their order in the other line. The lady that seemed to be in charge asked what our order was we told her and she said now she sees it. We asked for our money back at 12:44 and she gave it to us. They wasted 25 minutes of our time and those in line behind us and we didn't even get food NEW MANAGEMENT NEEDED at this Checkers read more

We've tried this place twice, I don't get it. The hamburgers aren't good and the patties are small especially for the price. Why do the cold French fries smell like donuts? This place is not worth the money. I gave it two stars because the people that work there are nice. read more

Everytime I order a chicken deluxe it is missing the tomato. I've complained a few times and also have stated how long of a wait it is for the food and then to have something missing off your sandwich on top of it. read more

They took so long I was in line waiting for 30 minutes. When I received my food it was very cold. The burger had bacon in it and it was extremely chewy and undercooked. The ladies were also very rude and gave me an attitude because that I had asked for a recite. Never going back again. read more

First of all It should not even get a star it should be minus 100 this is the most pathetic fast food chain ever. You have to wait 15 minutes to get waited on (not enough help) Then when you get your order and you MUST CHECK IT as it will be wrong and missing stuff you ordered I guarantee that . So dont leave and go home with your bag without checking it as I did only to find two items missing.I turned around went back regardless another 6 miles told them they had to make what was missing another 10 minutes went by finally got it took off as fast as possible to get home to eat it .Well by the time I got home and the time the original order was made EVERYTHING WAS FRICKIN COLD all because of the inept employees.(I am being nice now) oh and I still had missing items ,I will say my dog enjoyed the cold burgers as I did not touch them. The outside of the place where there are tables to eat was a mess garbage all over the ground everywhere proving they were short of help.Where is the manager of this dump? Does he not even know it exists? If your going to be a manager you need to PAY ATTENTION TO THE PLACE . This place is a disgrace and the manager or franchise holder should give it up as he or she has not a clue on how to manage a place . I have pictures of the dump and believe me it was a mess to prove it.This is not Miami where I can expect this .So if you choose to go here you have need forewarned and trust me this place makes McDonalds look like a Ruth's Chris restaurant! read more
