If you go anywhere near this place during peak hours, expect customers to stop dead in the middle of the roadway while waiting for the drive-thru. No pulling aside. No common sense. Just cars sitting in active lanes blocking entrances, exits, and connecting roads. If you're not even there for Chick-fil-A, congratulations -- you're trapped. I've watched drivers stuck with no way to exit, traffic backing up in every direction, and people forced into risky moves just to escape the gridlock. Horns start going off because there's literally nowhere to go. The most frustrating part? Management. When things get bad enough that drivers are laying on their horns, managers sometimes come out -- and instead of clearing the road, they side with the Chick-fil-A customers blocking traffic. That leaves everyone else stranded and just adds fuel to the fire. This isn't a one-off problem. It happens over and over again, and the business clearly knows it. They just don't care. There's no real traffic control, no mitigation, and no concern for anyone who isn't in their drive-thru line. Good food doesn't excuse reckless operations. I don't know why this spot gets so many complaints because I think it's great! The employees are incredibly nice and helpful. I have never had a bad meal there. Always hot. My favorite breakfast is the egg white grill, no cheese. I do add hot sauce on top of the egg white. With an order of hash browns of course. I am told that the coffee is delicious. Food fresh and made to order every single time you. I was super excited to get a job that placed me close to a Chik-Fil-A. I only had it twice before this so now I am a girl who has a favorite meal and loves my SunJoy Tea mixed with Lemonade :) Before this location closed down for renovations, the playground was a storage area and the dining room was a bit cramped. Now, the dining area seems much more roomy and its kept clean, even during the super busy traffic they experience on a daily. You cannot go to this location and not see it mobbed. The staff, welllll, that's where I will explain my three star review. They hire the very young locals in the area to staff this location. The problem with that is some of them are just there to get a paycheck. I had gone there a few times and had a very unpleasant experience with the staff that prepares the orders. One time, there were a group of girls, standing around, doing nothing other than speaking about other employees and/or patrons. Another time, one of the employees had made my drink without putting the Lemonade it and the manager caught it. He just stated this was supposed to be mixed with lemonade. That girl caught an attitude and rolled her eyes so hard. She did not get disciplined. He literally fixed my drink and walked away. If you don't speak to them about their errors, they cannot correct them. Or if they do not correct them, they do not deserve a paycheck. I will say I have only been here once since they reopened after renovations, and I did not see any of the employees that needed retraining on customer service when I was there. Everyone seemed friendly and helpful. They were hustling along, trying to get the orders out as fast as they can. I was in the chic-fil-A on 06/05/2025 at 8:55 PM. I was dining at chic fil A on Tamiami Trail in Port Charlotte, Fl. when an employee walked up to m as I was eating my chicken sandwich and said to me, "Sir, it's 9 PM and the dining room is now closed" Her exact words. I looked at my watch and it ws exactly 9 PM. I replied, I am almost done eating. I will leave in 3 or 4 minutes as soon as I finish eating this sandwich. I was 75% done with the meal. There was a heavy set female with a chic-fil-A uniform on who replied. I am sorry sir. Dining room is closed you must leave immediatly. I replied.."do you know how rude it is to ask me to leave and won't give me 3 minutes to finish my meal? She replied that it was company policy and anyone in the restaurant past 9 PM is unlawfully trespassing. I asked why did you serve me a meal at about 8:56 PM if dining room closes at 9 PM? She had no reply. The female employee said if I did not get up and leave she would call the police. At 9:03 Port Charlotte police came into restaurant and told me to leave. It was exactly 9:03 PM. I left unable to finish my meal. I left under threat of arrest by Port Charlotte police. I was under threat of arrest and not given 3 minutes to finish eating.. I have never heard of anyone treated so bad by a Restaurant. read more

Each time we have been inside the store/restaurant for a sit-down meal and going through drive throughs, our experiences were always pleasant as employees served us by being friendly, quick, polite, and knowledgeable. I could not tell who was a manager and who wasn't because of the fluidity between coworkers. There a general friendliness to places like this, however, this Chick-fil-A has set a new standard for welcoming their customers. Employees were all hands on deck, checking every customers needs, refilling restroom essentials, cleaning up the dining area, greeting guests cordially. It wasn't over the top, it was well-balanced. Tiny portions, congested traffic and curbside to go parking spaces. I've been going to Chick-Fil-A for for three decades and love it. I went to this location and was excited to introduce my boyfriend to their food. I ordered him a spicy grilled chicken sandwich deluxe, the most expensive sandwich on the menu. When he opened it, he wasn't impressed. It was half the size of any other Chick-Fil-A sandwich I've ever seen. My fries were also very skimpy, and not all the way full. At least the half portions of food did taste good. We went after 2pm, thinking we would avoid the lunch rush. But cars were lined up in the street to get to the drive thru, while other cars in the shopping plaza dangerously tried to pass the ones holding up the street traffic. ALL the curbside to go parking places were also full. But some jerk took up 3 spots with his boat trailer behind him-- AND decided to eat while taking up all the parking spaces. No CFA employee told him to move. They are causing a disruption in the entire parking plaza, and a safety hazard. I can't imagine what this place is like during the lunch rush! I can forgive the badly designed layout and congestion that Chick-Fil-A is causing surrounding businesses in the shopping plaza. But I can't forgive the tiny portions. It made me feel ripped off and embarrassed that I'd introduced my boyfriend to the place, and had a crappy experience. read more

They will screw you in the drive through I would have never guessed it but they did me and I called they said sorry and they would have some on in customer care call me, 3 days latter no call so I called again explained I'm 30 minutes away gave them my address and phone number again, they said someone would call. I have gone to chick-fl-A and they suck.I have heard a lot of people left because the managers suck. I heard one person say I forgot there name but they said that they asked for a raise or even a promotion and they got rejected. I have also heard the managers sit in the office. I asked to talk to the manger one time and they said let me go get them out of the office. The food is alright they are times I get a really burnt nugget or strips and they serve it like that. They keep the place clean which is . I think they need to give people a raise and a promotion when asked. Good and quick customer service, after making my order (2 chicken sandwiches, 1 large mac and cheese, 5 grilled nuggets, and 1 small peach milkshake) I only had to wait about 7 minutes, which was great because so many people were there. Moreover, the food was hot, the chicken was juicy, the mac n cheese was creamy and cheesy, and finally, the seasonal peach milkshake definitely lived up to the hype! Okay, I absolutely am hooked on their ice cream cones, just have to have one when I'm driving past. Yes -- sometimes lines are long but worth the wait to get my fix. Today, however, I got my usual order only the ice cream in the cone had shrunk, to the point where the ice cream e peak barely peeked out over the top of the cone. I complained -- said "serious?" -- but the guy said it met their weight requirements. Can't believe it as it was certainly less than half the normal amount. Never had a bad experience here besides one time they accidentally put cheese on my sandwich but they fixed the problem no hassle. Great tasting food, always cooked great. And definitely sign up for rewards because Edward the owner is beyond generous giving out personal rewards here and there on top of the already built-in point system. I would skip the drive thru though and always go with pickup or curbside because the line is always huge. This CFA is amazing. The food quality is always excellent, to start which is important. However, just as important is the staff. They are friendly, kind, and always professional. I have never been treated negatively here, always left with a positive feeling about this location and the brand. It's just an amazing operation. My entire family craves their food. I went and, since the drive through was so long, I thought I'd go in and order carry out. They put cones in their lot to ? The cars were not in line to pass to get into their dine in parking spots. The kids working outside are oblivious to that. So it literally took 5 minutes on the lot to park! Then I was 2nd in line, ordered 4 Chic-Fil-A regular sandwiches and waffle fries and it took 25 minutes to get my order. What's more, the guy training someone at the cash register walked right by me after another customer mentioned she received her order and I was still waiting. Great restaurant for everyone including families. The restaurant is always clean that includes the restrooms which is very important to me when I am bringing my kids along. The play area is very interactive and fun for children of all ages, but make sure you supervise your children while in the Play area as some children have a tendency to play very rough. The food has always been good. We have purchased some of their catering dishes for parties. Anytime we have had any problem the servers are more than willing to resolve the issue.
