I don't eat burgers often, but when I am craving a quick take out burger, Five Guys is one of my favorite local options. I rarely eat any "fast food" like McDonalds, Jack In the Box, etc. and consider Five Guys to be a step above those places based on the quality of the food and how everything is cooked to order. I also don't feel sick to my stomach after eating there. I love the topping options like grilled mushrooms that Five Guys offers and the ingredients always taste super fresh to me. The fries with the skin on and malt vinegar are addicting and IMO far superior to In N Out. The prices have definitely gone up a lot over the years...the little cheeseburger and little fries was around $17, which does feel a bit steep, but that's how things go right now. The regular cheeseburger was only $2 more but I didn't want the calories of that, which are over 1000 by the time you add toppings and the little cheeseburger is always perfectly filling for me. When crowded, parking can be a bit difficult but I have always managed to find a spot. This location itself was very clean and the staff were all friendly. It was pretty empty at that particular location, with everyone getting orders to go, so it felt a bit depressing in there, but hopefully I was just in there at a slow time. read more

The food here used to be great and I've always thought the staff here was friendly and kind. I've been coming to this location for months now and it makes me sad to say it will be my last time coming here. A lot of their best caring staff don't seem to work here anymore, and the new gentleman that runs the place seems to drag the place down. My friend had a craving for a burger so we headed to Five Guys. I haven't had a Five Guys burger in several years. I got a bacon cheeseburger lettuce wrapped and I added mushrooms. It was so tasty I could have easily ate another one. Next time I would make it a double. No fries for me. I snacked on some peanuts after I finished my burger and took advantage of their create your drink fountain drink station where I filled up on Powerade Zero. Next even well done, the fries are still under cooked vs other locations. Without well done the fries are very undercooked. As for the burgers, those were quite tasty and had exactly what we ordered. I still love how the number the burgers and the numbers are the same on the receipt. I haven't gone Five Guys in a few years and had forgotten how glad I was that I don't have a peanut allergy...peanuts are all over the place here...not sure they cook with peanut oils...still though, my daughter has a severe peanut allergy and would never have a family outing here. This Five Guys location in Oxnard was great! I was in the mood for some Cajun fries so I decided to place an order for a cheeseburger and their famous cajun fries. I was able to place my order online and through their online portal you're able to notify the restaurant when you're nearby and alert them when you're there so they were able to finish your order and time appropriately so you have the ideal food temperature and maximum freshness. They're located right next to the Starbucks and the Color Me Mine and the Whole Foods section of the shopping area. Parking is generally decent and you should be able to find a spot out here but it may not be that close to the restaurant. Look restaurant itself is pretty big so there's lots of dining space here. It's an open layout so you're able to see a lot of what's going on. I also really appreciated how all their condiments and sauces were laid out and there was plenty available. I came here for the first time on Saturday for dinner. I ordered the cheeseburger, which came with two patties and some delicious melted cheese. The patties tasted like they were handmade, not like the skimpy frozen ones. The only thing that I did not like about this place was how they did not serve combos. Truly remarkable for a fast food joint. I've only tried Five Guys a small handful of times but each has been exceptional. This location is very conveniently situated at the base of The Collection with ample parking. It offers good visibility from the road and is very easy to spot. The dining room is large and reminiscent of other Five Guys locations. I happened to come during Covid when all the tables were stored away. There was no place to sit (which is expected) so I took my food and ate outdoors. Service was friendly and my food was remarkable. It's not cheap but is incredibly filling and has an awesome flavor. When I get a craving for a milk shake this is where I go now. Favorites include their cherry, or a strawberry-bacon milk shake. Last time the shake wasn't blended up enough and all the bacon was in pieces too big for any to fit through a straw but I still can't complain too much. So yummy. I also love their fries. Fries + shake = dinner. Mmmmm. Store is clean and they've moved all the tables out of the way so it's a big empty space for customers to socially distance while waiting.
