My daughter's love this place. The workers are so kind and respectful and the food is really good. Always consistent. My reason for writing this review is safety. Within the past month me and my 2 daughters went to buddy's to pick up a quick order about 3 times. And EVERY single time we felt unsafe. The homeless around the area is ridiculous. They linger around the whole building and even hang out in the back where the tables are where ur suppose to enjoy ur meal you just got from this establishment. And ur not allowed to do so because of it. One homeless man I gave $5 because I felt bad for him and I do have a heart. He responded with that's all? He wanted more. The intitlement was ridiculous. The next time we went there we were trying to avoid a homeless man walking around the building, he kept following us and asked for change. So I had a dollar so gave it to him and again he has the audacity to ask for more. This establishment needs to be more aware. And not allow the homeless to harass their customers. It's sad to say but this reason may be the reason we will not be going back. They see the homeless asking their customers at the window but don't do nothing about it. Don't make sense. I have been coming to this place as a kid and my family has been coming for generations since being one of the first family's established on Oxnard Blvd, unfortunately I have to leave a bad review ,,every time I order food in person or phone a lady named (JOANA) answers and is always is very rude even when I talk politely,, I'm not sure what's going on in her personal life but there is something always missing from my order like she doesn't hear me intentionally,, she always raises her voice at me like you did not ask for that !! ?? Which I did .. if she was having a bad day I understand but it's an ongoing thing and I do think it is bad for business ,, please management (owners ) have a talk with her , many others that I know have had the same issue with her it never fails ... We've been in Oxnard for about a year and this place is a staple for us. It's a walk up joint with outside seating and ample parking in the back. The food is quite good, and even better if you include the price! Service is always quick and they even take phone orders if you just want to pick up and go! read more

Old school burger joint that's been part of Oxnard for a very long time. I used to come here when I was a teenager and only ever got the burger and fries. Now that I'm a little older, I had to try the other items on the menu. Boy was I missing out! The Fried burrito and taquitos with cheese were amazing! Yes they are probably not the healthiest but damn they were so good. It's the type of food that you crave in the middle of the night. Next time I'm getting another fried burrito with chili to go along with my double cheeseburger. Perfect! Oh ya did I mention the prices are insanely fair? After driving by this place for over 2 decades now, I finally gave Buddy Burgers a try last week. Not being from Oxnard, I came back today for seconds since I was in the area. The burgers aren't too big, but they're honestly just the perfect size imo. Just the right amount of chili to patty and cheese ratio. I've tried the double chili burger and double chili cheese burger and both are very tasty. I also tried the chili bun which consisted of two regular burger buns with mustard and filled with chili. Also tasty! Their chili is really good, which is what made me come back again a week later honestly. Service was fast both times and they have seating out in the back if you want to eat there. I take it to go and I'd recommend coming during the day, as it is not in the best part of town. Definitely gives off that old school vibe feel that's so comforting. read more

Came here to get some lunch with a friend from work. He recommended the place so we went. I have to say I was very surprised at how affordable/cheap the food was here. I ordered a double chili cheese burger and some fries. The burger was cooked properly and seasoned well. But the chili is lacking greatly. The chili is very dry and not up to par with other places in the area with chili at all. I'd more so recommend getting just the usual burger here.
