Stale bread, very sparse meat, and an au jus that was cold and basically a salt lick. I left most of it. The fries were good, but for the grip they charge for food here, my expectations are much higher.

After living in California for awhile I have came to expect it take awhile to receive my food. The only thing that could have been better with our experience was that our table was very dirty and the lobby over all needed a good wipe down which is not something I have seen at a In-n-out before.

Okay, why have I been sleeping on this place since I drive by it A LOT???…read more Gave it a shot and was very happy with the whole experience. First, the restaurant was very, very clean. Not a dirty surface to be found and I even peaked in to the kitchen (also very clean). There are ~5-10 different variations of the Freddy's Steak Burger on the menu, some chicken sandwiches, and some Dogs. We opted for a regular steak burger and a Patty Melt. One with cheese fries and one with curds. Both sandwiches were great. The onions on the patty melt were cooked extremely well and the burger was big and sloppy, like all good burgers should be. The cheese curds were excellent and the shoestring fries were great as well. There was an absolute ton of cheese on them (think liquid nacho cheese) so if you are in to that, you will be happy. Pricing was decent and service was outstanding. Our order taker was very friendly and personable. She also agreed that Ranch Dressing is the devil, so she's tops in my book.

But that seems to be a problem at all of their locations. The employees are always very pleasant and friendly even when they are slammed. And if you get the hot orange chicken beware, it's actually very spicy!

All for one reason: Consistency. Visits are really hit or miss here. Some days the food will be excellent, hot, flavorful. Other visits are a let down. Unseasoned food, cold and soggy fries, baby pieces of chicken. Restaurant cleanliness waivers as well. It's honestly a 50/50 deal on visits lately and I just can't see flipping that coin as much any longer. I have also noticed Zero customer service skills especially with management. They also have a way of making you feel not brown enough while being shorter in height they still manage to look down their nose at you as a paying customer. So, the food is good, they don't communicate well at all leading to mistake's. If the store wants to focus primarily on the Mexican community for their only cliental then they may be well on their way. If you want to be an American based company then you may want to act like one because if you have not noticed your are not the only establishment in town that offers this cuisine. Race based companies have no place here.
