    TWENTY-SEVEN bucks at FIVE Guys!
    Tom U.

There are better places for a good burger. This one was excessively fatty and sloppy to eat. The fries were all way overcooked and tasted like expired fryolator oil. I was really looking forward to a good burger; did not happen this time, and i shan't return. ~T

I've had five guys many times but don't come to this one... well hardly ever. The burger here fell quite flat for me sadly. I splurged on a bacon burger but there was not much bacon and the bun was quite soggy by the time I got it. Not sure if it steamed in the bag but I got it right after they called our number... the toppings were the same so the location is the only difference I can think of! Free peanuts is a bonus at any Five Guys and I was sad they don't have soda water here! Pros: People are nice and the space is huuuuuuuuge! If you're coming with a big group there's a TON of space!

Visit: 3/19/21 I don't know why I don't come to Five Guys more often - it's actually my preferred hamburger joints! Allen and I came here after an evening of playing tennis nearby. We ordered the classics/our usuals: 1) Double patties with bacon + everything 2) Large fries -1 The one downside of Five Guys is that their buns are too soggy...I think it's because they wrap the burger in aluminum. How can a girl get a not-soggy burger bun?! +1 Fries always overflowing in the bag...the best ones are at the bottom, right?! Overall, not a meal I can have often since I need to savor it. Price is pretty reasonable for the amount of food you get? PS: no peanuts during COVID :(

Before I begin, I just have to say that I worked at a Five Guys back home YEARS ago (before they released the milkshakes), so all Five Guys hold a special place in my heart. There's something about hearing/yelling out "2 patties," smelling like peanut oil after a closing shift, and listening to classic rock that makes me feel at home. Other than the shrinkflation with the little fries, I was very satisfied with the food. Everything looked like your typical Five Guys, with all the prep and cook stations. The dining room itself is small, but hey I'll take the super fancy soda fountain station!

    Drink selection

I love five guys fries. I think their cooking method, double fried in peanut oil, is the good standard for fries. I enjoy the soda selection and the burgers are surprisingly juicy for something cooked well-done, and the customization is off the charts, though you do pay for all that goodness. I wanted a snack and had some time to kill so I figured I'd get a drink and fries at this Five guys which happened to be close to where I was. This isn't my normal Five guys. I wasn't that hungry, so I skipped the burger today. This particular restaurant, maybe I ran into a bad day. I ordered fries well-done as I always do. She repeated my order, but I didn't look at the receipt where *special instructions* didn't show up. The fries were not well done, and a bit floppy. Good news, when I pointed this out to them, they made me up another batch. Most of the drinks aren't available (see pics), and these are some heavy hitters: Diet Coke and Coke Zero. Coke only available on one machine. They did have a guy changing the cartridges, but he said they were out of them. Only one machine was dispensing ice. They don't have the peanuts out (most other five guys in the area do have the peanuts out), but when I asked for some, the lady behind the counter was able to get some, so, if you want peanuts, just check. That said they peanuts seemed stale. Maybe because they don't put them out.

Every time I come to Five Guys (five muchachos is what I call them) I'm greeted with friendly people. After ordering and as I'm watching them make the food, I see they are using all the necessary protectives per the covid rules. Must be uncomfortable to wear a mask all day in the hot areas of the kitchen. I don't even like wearing mine for the 5 minutes I shop at Sprouts. So imagine 8 hours in a kitchen! That takes skills. They always get my order right and share extra fries. I'm thankful Five Guys is here so I can satisfy my burger cravings whenever they are here. Thank you!

My wife is from Vietnam and she approved, which says everything. The bread is the star. Fresh baked, pillowy soft on the inside with a light crunch on the outside. It does not shred your mouth like some places do. It's actually very close to what you get in Vietnam, which is rare out here. The pork is fragrant and clean tasting, not gamy at all. You can tell they care about quality. The overall sandwich just hits right. Only a couple things to improve. The pate was a bit runny and the grilled pork didn't really taste grilled, more like it was cooked on a flat top. Fix that and this place is top tier across the board. A huge plus is the outdoor table and fantastic customer service they greet you as soon as you enter. Still, really solid spot. I'll definitely be coming back.

Parking at the Mountain View Shopping Center is plentiful. I went there for a take home Banh Mi on an early Tuesday evening. I was the only customer there and I ordered the 6. Saigon's Signature from the menu board at the pay counter. Which was ready quickly. The interior has a few tables and a long bench and table for dining. It's new, modern and clean. The menu is mostly Banh Mi sandwiches and sweet drinks. My sandwich was well constructed with bread with a crunchy crust and soft inside, generous amounts of protein, fresh pickles and crunchy cucumber slices. There was nothing memorable about the flavor profile, probably to make it suitable for the American sub sandwich palate. My smaller size was very filling and I saved half for later. I am not a fan of sandwiches in general but their Banh Mi is good so give them a try. May repeat.

They were still redoing the front of house so not sure when they will open fully but looking forward to trying more Azerbaijan food. Since I've never had Azerbaijan food before, I asked for a recommendation and he said all of the food is good but did say that the chicken shawarma was big and I was feeling a bit hungry so went with that. It came with fries and some peppers, which reminded me of banana peppers. Not spicy with a briney taste to it, great accompaniment. He also tossed in this yogurt drink (I didn't get the name) that was tasty. Overall, good food and will be back to try their lamb kebabs and the burger as well and interested to see what their pizzas will be like as well. Hence why I stopped here one warm late afternoon despite having lots of food options in this downtown-y area. The Godfather ($15ish/5*) When I first try a deli I will usually try their Italian combo. It's a classic sub I love but honestly I find it hard to find an above average one. I'm not sure if the art of making one has been lost, but within the last decade or so, I strike out more than I get hits. Usually the meat to bread to produce ratio is off. Sometimes the meats are too salty/poor quality. Other times the sauce/dressing flavor is off. I am so stoked that I found a legit one here. They use prosciutto, mortadella and salami here, all my faves. I hate when a place uses American ham/cheese on an Italian sub. And all the meats are of quality, not too salty at all. Provolone was the cheese, textbook. I chose a sourdough roll and even though requires a good amount of teeth strength to bite off a piece and to chew, it was pretty damn satisfying. The interior is soft yet chewy. They definitely use a solid bread company. The bites were what I consider to be classic Italian sub flavors. No curve balls like pesto, red peppers or strong mustard. Just quality meats with great textures, fresh produce dressed in oil n' vinegar so it taste like a good salad. And the kicker that pleasantly surprised me were chunks of marinated artichoke hearts so this made you feel like biting into an antipasto platter just in sandwich form. So Damn Solid. Italian Sausage Sandwich ($15ish/4*). Even though solid I didn't love this as much as the cold sub. They ask what type of sausage mild or hot Italian. Chose hot, no surprise. They said this will take longer to make, like about 10 minutes. I chose a regular sweet French roll for this. Not as chewy as the sourdough roll, much softer but still has body. I liked the flavors of warm marinara with their unique sausage, quite classic once again. But the sausage they use is super thick like twice as thick as a common Italian sausage link. They do split it so it covers the bread but that sausage is one of the firmest textures I've ever had for a sausage. Sausage by nature because of the grind usually bites easily. Not here, I had to bite so hard that the meat couldn't stay in the bread. I think the casing was unusually tough for some reason. I eventually peeled it off. Decent flavors but problematic to eat cleanly. $35+ (after T&T) for 2 sandwiches seems pricey but really it is the new reality. 10 years ago this would have been about $20ish. Welcome to the new world order. Lol

I ordered the Godfather, which is supposed to be their specialty, and it was very disappointing. The meats seemed old, extremely fatty, and so chewy that I was unable to swallow them. Every meat on the sandwich was fatty, including the mortadella, which was unusually greasy and unlike anything I've seen before. The texture made the sandwich very unpleasant to eat. It also made me question whether the meats had been stored properly, though I can't say for sure. The bread was average and didn't seem very fresh either. Maybe going later in the day means the ingredients have been sitting too long, but either way, this sandwich was difficult to enjoy and ended up in the trash.

I think I should have just had the chicken sandwich which would have been better, if you're coming to this place don't order any bone in chicken, complete waste of money. Just order the tenders and chicken sandwich
