Decided to give 5 guys a try in Roseburg ,Oregon tonight , service could use improvement , they were cheerful, here's our thoughts from all 3 of us about the food , the burgers are not as good as some have said , taste like plain hamburger and frankly not impressed , fries kinda blah , after digging through the bag of fries found our burgers covered in tin foil , milk shakes are the only thing we cared for, needless to say we will be not be frequenting 5 guys, overall the $45 we spent really wasn't worth the taste of food , IN N OUT still is the best for this family read more

Ate at five guys last night. First off the fries were not the best ever. While very hot not a single one was crispy. Worst part was I got food poisoning. While this does happen from time to time, when I called to tell them all I got in response was "oh well, to bad for you". Well, the best review I can give is "possibly edible"? Waited quite a bit to order with no one else in line. Waited quite a bit longer for food to come up even though the place was half empty. Both burgers were way wrong. Possibly fave is the wrong order? The fries, well, there is a major difference between HOT and COOKED. Just because they are hot does not mean they are passable as a French fry. Alas, when I took the burgers back to have them fixed the server was creepy a and helpful so that was nice. The new burgers came up fairly quickly and correct and even with another free side of not cooked fries! The burgers were mediocre at best and neither of us likely gained any weight as they passed through faster than greased bacon fat. Did I mention the sort of cooked fries? Anyway, we threw out most of the food and left. Pretty disappointed in a Five Guys. Guess it's in-n-out from now on. read more

This was my first and last time eating here. The food was below subpar, fried were cold and oversalted, burgers had soggy, bland buns and the patties were burnt all around the edges. Hands down the worst 60 dollars I've ever spent on 6 burgers and 2 orders of fries. Oh, and let's not forget about the hair in my fiance's burger. Not impressed at all. I've heard so much good about this place that I was honestly looking forward to it. I'd rather spend the money at in n out. Not too bad if you don't mind soggy burger buns, limp fries, or making your own fry sauce (you know, the pink stuff). Ordered one Cajun fries, and thought we were getting a second regular fry, but that didn't happen. As it was we didn't finish the gargantuan Cajun fry we had cause the limp factor won out over taste. Amazing ALL FRESH ingredients, yummy burgers, fries were excellent, HOT AND TONS OF THEM, shakes with yummy add ins are a must. I have been there three times since opening and never disappointed. The fact that they are one of the biggest opening stores is not surprising as the owners were there busting their humps every time I was there. (When do you see that at a new restaurant opening, not ever). Definitely a must try if you have not tried it yet. Awesome Burgers, amazing french fries!! It doesn't get any better than Five Guys for burgers with your choice of so many yummy toppings (the sauteed mushrooms and onions are soooooo good!) The large french fry cup was so full that they were spilling over the top. And, they were perfectly seasoned-you don't even need ketchup! In addition to having the best burger in town, Five Guys also has the nicest young people working for them. They went out of their way to fix a problem for me and apologized. They get to know you by name, they give you a genuine "thank you"-it's really cool! When you go, expect a bit of a wait. It isn't that they are slow (they cook and assemble burgers like a well oiled burger machine!), it's that they are always packed. During this pandemic, they are being very careful about Social Distancing and cleaning. We've been there several times this year and have always felt safe. Medford has ruined another chain location. My food was cooked along with five other orders were done and just waiting on the fries. I waited while the other orders were filled with fries and handed out. I had the lowest number so my burgers were cooked first and sat the longest. Then my fry order finally get filled and it didn't get topped off like normal. Fries have always been salty, but these were easily had more salt than I've ever experienced. Very clean place. Busy but had enough staff to cover everything very nicely. Employees were friendly and I have to say I received my order just like I asked for it to be....that doesn't happen at a lot of places. The hamburger was nothing special, it really lacked flavor and even a little salt and pepper might have helped. I really like their burgers, you can customize them made to order. I've eaten at other five guys locations prior to this one and i have to say the other locations i had eaten at were better. My bun has been a bit soggy at this location on more than one occasion and the fries here pretty much suck. Yes they are fresh but generally just a few of them are crispy and the rest will be soft. Im left wondering if other locations toast their buns a bit and double drop the fries and maybe this location does not. read more

Updating my review because I've been back twice now since giving it two stars! The first time back, I was craving a Five Guys burger but expecting to be disappointed again. I was shocked at how yummy and fresh the food was! Just like I remembered from California. I went back a second time a few weeks later to see if it had been a fluke, and the food was just as delicious. Soooooo... this is one of our favorite places to go in Eugene. They have on of the best lettuce wraps in the paleo world. Fresh beef and good bacon a paleo fast foodie wet dream. This is what we thought we were getting at the new establishment, however. It's new, so it's super busy lunch starts at 1100 so if it's part of your plan duck out early. I went at 1045 and there was a line, I have seen a line down the sidewalk, the line may get better so give it time. Service is good, especially for how busy this place is, be strategic if you want a table bring someone to hold one for you. Be aware it's loud and there are lots of kids at least at dinner. We went on a Friday evening the second time and that may have attributed to the number of folks there, it's a very diverse crowd. We had to wait some time for our order, but the kitchen seemed to be efficient and working hard there was just that many folks there. We had lettuce wrapped burgers remember no gluten paleo, be prepared to answer why although it's none of their business, I don't like bread alright?! Lol! Small fries, water and I indulged in a chocolate malted shake. The beef was there however I wasn't impressed but they have been slammed since opening so maybe the scrimped and it will get better. The burger was well made for being no wrapped in lettuce. The fries are alright, best with vinager. The shake is fake made with shake mic and jacks up my intestines but I know better. The bacon was lacking similar to the stuff from the mess hall in the Army baked, bacon similar meat, gross. So if the quality of meats improves and the service remains as well as you can expect in a fast food chain my rating will improve. Five Guys is SO much better than In and Out! Their fries are excellent and the burgers are much like home grilled, except that you can add a plethora of toppings. Those who are upset about the price of the shakes need to compare the quality of the shakes. When we go, we get a regular fry and it's too much for us to finish. If you get a regular burger and share fries it's well worth the price. You pay as much at fast-food places. I'm just glad that we now have the option to go to Five Guys- glad you're here!! read more

The burgers here are pretty much made to order, from the condiments you'd like to have on it to how you like your burger cooked. And when you order fries, they give you LOTS of them. Plan on taking some home, even with the "regular" order. The décor is nice and retro, and I especially like the sign that tells you where todays potatoes came from. Would like to see some from local farms one of these days (like Malin for example), but overall, we had a very positive experience here. read more

my gf wanted to check this place out for quite sometime. i thought we should see how good it was considering all the advertising and reviews how great it is. i ordered a double bacon and large fries my gf ordered a double with out bacon and medium fries and two large drinks it totaled over 31 dollars. i was suprised considering all the other burger joints have been a lot less for the same ingrediants. the fries were ok a little burnt but still palettable. the meat was average no flavor or juicy. the cheese was just like mcdonalds. the bun was just a sesame seed bun. i asked what the size of the patties were. the cashier had no clue. 3 oz is my guess. for the price i expected more quility buns and cheese. as well as meat. the hype convinced me to go in the first place. i didnt get what i paid for. read more
