Five Guys was A-OK, because of the pricey food, I demote one star. I laso demote one star for the drinks. The machines ran out of all our drinks, so we couldn't get refills. I ordered a cheeseburger, and a grilled cheese, which in total was $8.50. That was pricey, but for the savory taste of both the meal and fries, I rate the establishment a three. I don't often rate anything above a two. This is a big compliment. For all you other Yelpers, pay attention to your surroundings, how exactly the food tastes, and how it is prepared. This place is great!!! I love food and all though this may not be a linen table and $200 bottle of wine type of place, it is tops. The name says it all, Burgers are great, and the fries are fantastic. They remind me of the ones you get at the local county fair. It was good. I would definitely not say it's the best burger ever. It was too greasy and the buns got too thin because of it. But the service was good. The speed was okay. I wish I got an idea of the size of the fries as I ordered way too much. The place was clean, friendly, and burgers are their business. This is another great 5 guys, I don't even like burgers and I love theirs. Getting a burger with everything can be messy, but worth the effort. One tip to get the most out of your first trip to 5 guys: is to get a single patty, not the double. Your really hungry you say? Get two singles, even if you split the fries that's a lot of food. The reason being that with the single patty it really lets what 5 guys do better then most out their really shine through. Super fresh ingredients for no extra charge, included amazing caramelized onions, and fluffy steamed buns! Cannot beat Five Guys for a consistently great burger. They are good and greasy, maybe not the best for my arteries but I know that going in. Boy do I love these burgers. Always go for the singles because the doubles are huge. Love the option of putting anything you want on it from the fresh vegies to the condiments. The fries are also amazing. I've always been a huge fan of this place, but nothing solidified it more than tonight. I went in late, it was probably about 9:30 when I got in line. There were about 6 people ahead of me and while I was waiting, 3 or 4 people came in after me. I overheard the gentleman at the counter, Courtney, tell the people at the beginning of the line that they got mobbed earlier and there was a bit of a wait while they were finishing cooking more bacon. All with an apologetic smile on his face. I thought to myself that I was a huge jerk, not only coming in late, but the fact that they were busy earlier and having to rush to make new things and I have celiacs! I was ready to be made to feel like a thorn in someone's side. When it was my turn, I apologized to Courtney and told him about my allergy. He didn't even flinch! He said they deal with allergies all the time and it was no big deal! All with the same smile. I was so thankful. While the food was cooking and they were taking more orders, I could hear him and everyone else talk to each other. The morale was so high in there it was so calming, even though it was busy. I asked the gentleman who gave me my food if Courtney was the shift lead and he said he was the manager and that the guy I was talking to had just finished manager training yesterday (I didn't get his name and I feel awful about that). He was obviously very proud and I felt pride for him! It was really, really nice to see a manager who encourages his crew to grow and for people to obviously feel ownership and pride in what they do. Have been here several times now and absolutely love it.... I got a double cheeseburger with mushrooms and peppers with a little fry and it was fantastic. The food is consistently good and the service has always been friendly and efficient. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is the somewhat highish price. This is my favorite five guys location. The only thing i could complain about is when its busy, there arent really any seats. There is plenty of parking in the huge plaza parking lot. The people who work there are friendly and helpful, they know the menu without looking. The burger was juicy and cooked perfect, it wasnt greasy and unappetizing. I dont like eating much meat, but i eat the whole burger every time i go. Usually the fries are the leftovers, but thats because they give you so many! A cup of them, and then more in the bag?! They give like 10 potatoes worth, of fries to every person, lol! The place is clean, and theres peanuts in shells that you can also have for free. I love how they actually have mr. Pibb soda. If all you're looking for are some good ol' burgers, hot dogs and fries, (and even grilled cheese) then by all means this is where you want to go. After a long day attending a sporting event, and so hungry we think we could eat a cow, we rushed into this nearby burger joint. We got ourselves a bunch of complimentary peanuts (in the shell) to munch on while we waited for our order to get cooking. And when we finally got our food, we all enjoyed it all immensely. My hamburger was stuffed with everything I liked and tasted just wonderful. And it wasn't even greasy. The fries, were they oh so good fresh out of the frier. From this Beer and Burger guy, for this burger I'll pass on the beer.... if I have to! I love red meat, and this is my place. This is not the place to bring a vegetarian, because, as another review mentioned, their 'veggie' (note that it does not say 'veggie burger') is bun fixin's bun, no burger, no fake burger pretending to 'veggie' despite most of these are made with pork fat. Now with that rant out of the way, on with the show! This is not a sit down and get kobe beef burgers, it's a 80/20 blend pressed to cook fast on a grill and pump out double stacks of juicy beefy goodness. The number of fixing's amazing, and FREE you pay for your burger, and get the works as bonus! The fires are Idaho potatoes cut on site. Even Gordon Ramsey would be proud of that! They are served to overflow the bucket into the bag. Malt vinegar is available on site to add to your fries. Standard soda choices, along with ice teas and sometimes even a lemonade. The price is great, and I have never experienced an error with my burger. Why? Because I have the cashier read back my order before finalizing it. Should I have to? Look at your surrounding you're giving a school lunch red tray that your food is served on, surrounded by bags and bags of peanuts (also free as well). What do you expect for service? Been here once. Good food but my heart probably couldn't handle going too much but the fries are great and the burgers taste fresh. A few things that I really liked is that you can actually see the food being cooked. I enjoy places that you can see the preparation. Also, they let you know where the potatoes are from which are used to make the fries. It is always busy which is pretty impressive because there are a lot of other options for food, and even multiple burger places in the area. A little bit of burger heaven in a Marlboro strip mall. I've been to my share of the shishi 5-stars over the years for the single $20 ravioli at the bottom of a bowl, but I still love my burgers. We saw the 5 guys store at Patriot Place over the winter, but didn't have a chance to try it. I stumbled on this new one on Easter Sunday, and it was really quiet. As you walk in, there is a whiteboard telling you where today's potatoes were grown, and sacks of potatoes to bring it home. The menu is simple - burgers, or hot dogs, and/or fries. No salads. No health food. The burgers are offered as cheeseburger or hamburger which are in fact double-patties and really filling. Or you can order "little" cheeseburger or "little" hamburger, which is single patty and more normal sized. But you have to be ready to choose from all the free topping available (I got grilled onions, etc.). You can make it pretty exotic. OK now for the review of the food. The bun was the softest I've ever had. Almost like a marshmallow. Awesome. The burger (I read that they are hand made) looked like something you'd have at home with all the irregular edges. The taste was burger-perfect.....moist, flavorful, a little greasy but not too much. If you've been to FatBurgers, Johnny Rockets etc,, this is much better. Fries are regular or a spicy variety which were tasty and fresh, and overflowed the paper cup they were served in. I still like Mickey D's fries best. With a drink, this adventure in burger heaven cost $10. As a treat once in awhile or the need to pay homage to the burger gods, this is a place where you won't be disappointed (or hungry afterwards).
