This place is a bummer. I enjoyed the Worcester location and then they totally turned my favorite spicy tuna and renames it the shogun and it's not the same vibe. So while in Marlborough I stopped by and thought how bad can it be..? I was like 10 min away and got a burger (tried to) get one for my companion that was medium rare. Was told that they can't give takeout orders as that temperature cause they continue to cook in the container.....the container is the burger wrapped in foil in a paper box..never heard that from ANY restaurant so they must have unique patties..-anyway..got that burger and it was a hockey puck and for $25 come on at least give it the temp I request instead of a culinary abomination for the price. First off the patties (as others complained re: the beef ones) are so tiny and thin and I usually don't like the toppings on the new one but this burger was so small and sad and lacking ANY toppings so I ate it cause it was basically a tuna steak on a soggy bun with like 10 shaved carrot slaw pieces. Ugh. I will not be returning the prices are oof for what you get. My meal should have been like $14 max. It was $21. I wish I took a picture because it was so sad you would have to see it to believe it. read more

This is my neighborhood go to and the staff is fabulous! Ben is especially helpful as is Ally. The one problem i have experienced is the new standard that they have regarding how the burger is cooked. The first time I came here was when I moved into the neighborhood and Ally waited on us. Service spot on and food spot on. The second time I noticed that the burger was not seasoned. After that I would come only for a glass of wine and Singo. Recently I stopped and thought I'd give them a try again. After all it's a burger joint and I'm sure some inconsistencies exist. I asked for a medium rare burger which arrived as well done as a hockey puck. yuck. When i inquired about it they said we are now only serving "juicy through" whatever that means. In town for a birthday and this place looked good on Google. They were able to take a same day large party and the waitress was exceptional. Very kind, helpful with recommendations and always had our drinks topped off. EVERYTHING looked and tasted great. The food came out on time and no complaints. No complaints. Very large space that gets busy though it wasn't a long wait with our reservation before driving over. Few places you see a variety of pescatarian options besides beyond burgers or veggie burger until you come here. There is the unique option of also seared tuna steak. Maybe not the single tuna steak piece we expected and more slices of seared tuna but still good. Several other beef based burger options to pick from with no complaints. Both burgers came with a generous serving of fries with house chips another option. Mac and cheese appetizer was great. Came here with my wife on my birthday. I love trying new burger joints and this place did not disappoint. We started off with fried pickles which were very good. I ordered a classic burger with American Wagyu beef, cooked medium rare with a ciabatta bun. The burger came out perfect. Possibly one of the best burgers I've ever had. For a medium rare burger, with plenty of pink in the middle, it wasn't a sloppy eat at all! I purposely went with a ciabatta bun to help soak up grease and i think it helped to keep everything intact. I went with onion rings instead of fries and they were ok, maybe a little too deep fried but i wasn't there for the onion rings. My wife ordered a seared tuna bowl which was a big serving and she loved it. Our waitress was extremely nice. I wish I had caught her name but every time she'd come by, she was so pleasant and genuinely kind. I'll be coming back whenever i'm craving a burger! read more

In the area for work and 4 different people said it was the local "go to" (especially in the summer for the patio view). Service was excellent, the waitress was very helpful with the menu and her recommendations weee spot on. Had the Stark burger and is in my top 10 best burger list. A portion of the sale goes to combat military suicide so it was an easy choice. Will be back in the summer to try out the patio. read more

We've been loyal customers for years, loved their food and the service... and while the service remains stellar, the new burgers are terrible. Not the delicious juicy thick ones we loved! All came out the same no-pink despite being ordered medium and rare. And the mocktail versions of their cocktails aren't even close to as good as the old mocktails. New management? New chef? We went to The Fix burger bar in Marlborough a few days ago and discovered that they had changed their hamburger temperature policy. Now, you can't order your burger(s) medium-rare, and the menu claims that the burgers are "grill seared and cooked "Juicy Thru." This is absurd! When the Fix opened years ago, their claim to fame was juicy, delicious burgers, cooked to whatever temperature you requested. Now, the temperature option is not available. I upgraded my burgers to local grass-fed beef, and got two overcooked hockey pucks that weren't much better than McDonald's! And the kicker in this whole mess is their explanation for this new policy. It appears that wait times at the Worcester location were judged to be excessive, so the decision was taken to use 2 thinner (4-oz. each) patties instead one for quicker cooking times! This was not a decision based on food safety, but rather a bottom line decision to maximize profits! I expect a lot more from the Niche organization, which should have found a different solution to their profit issue. I generally try to stay on the positive side when offering reviews, but I can cite many restaurants around Worcester who safely serve rare and medium-rare burgers - Jimmy's, Red Heat Tavern, Oak Barrel Tavern, and the list goes on. read more

I've been here two times, once earlier this year and once more tonight with my family. My experience last time was really good, but I'll be writing my review based on tonight's experience. My parents, brother, and I had made a reservation for 6:30 and arrived at the restaurant a little early. Even though the restaurant was crowded, we were still promptly seated. One thing about The Fix that I admire when I visit is the interior. It is quite spacious and well put together and the table we sat at was huge. My whole group was definitely comfortable. For drinks, my brother and dad each got a draught beer and I got one of their cocktails. The one I got this time was holiday themed and called "The Krampus" which was delicious (and it definitely packed a punch). For food, we got a fried pickle appetizer and each of us got a burger. I got the Rodeo, my brother the Stark, My mom got a classic burger and my dad got the Tuna burger. The Fried pickles were really good - the pickles were extra Briney and paired super well with the horseradish dip that accompanied it. And everyone in our group liked the burger they got. The rodeo burger was extremely tasty and the jalapeño hashbrown provided some really nice textural contrast. My only gripe was that I asked for my burger medium but it came out more medium well. Overall, I think The Fix is an extremely good establishment to stop by with family or friends, grab a few drinks, and enjoy a really nice burger. 4/5 read more

Just an okay place. It has potential to be great, but seems to be lacking something. Staff was friendly, no issues there. Food came out quickly no issues there . I had a burger bowl with some wilted greens with brown parts. Salmon bowl was meh per DH. I have been to the Worcester location so happy to see them with a new spot in Marlborough. Everything I like about the other location I expect is here. A very top notch burger experience, I say it is worth having an adventure I shy away from just a classic burger. The other thing I had recently I would call out is the Poutine. They have great fries here, so adding gravy, cheese and the fixings just now makes me have 2 meals. Worth the price but definitely going to add the guilt you may need to throw an extra workout in to pay off. read more

Went here after my nieces graduation. She loves this place. I had the This Little Piggy cocktail and it was very refreshing and mixed well. We had a bunch of apps that we shared, Poutine, Chicken Wings, Potato Chip nachos. The wings were very good, spicy but not too spicy for me and meaty. Potato chip nachos were a new twist and quite a delight. The poutine was not what I expected. First, I would have put the fries in a bowl, then douse with gravy and cheese. The cheese was not the consistency i would have expected from poutine. The flavor was good, the gravy was tasty but the cheese, not so much. I had the Gatsby and loved it. The bacon was cooked well and the ancho ketchup was really good. I would definitely suggest that. The service was great and the place was clean and exactly what you expect a burger bar to look like. I prefer the high tops in the bar area - there are a few TVs in the bar with games on. Pretty good list of beers on tap and some nice speciality drinks. Food Burgers are really good, made to order shakes also quite tasty. Today for the 1st time branched out and got a bowl which was amazing. Pick your base, protein and 4 sides + dressing to mix in. The corn : bacon succotash & grilled avocado were amazing sides. Look forward to getting more bowls and mixing it up a bit with the proteins and side items. Price point - my family of 4 (with kids getting burgers & shakes) and a couple bar drinks & meal for me / wife ~ 100 bucks before grat. I decked out the Classic Burger by adding wagyu beef, pepper jack, hot cherry peppers, mushrooms, and horseradish mayo. Total came out to be $22.25 with all the add-ons. The poutine appetizer was good but cold because it obviously sat in the kitchen too long. None of us really loved the burgers. It's a spacious restaurant and I like the seating, ample outdoor and indoor dining. I was hear with family for a weekend and wedding so stopped in for lunch. There were 6 of us, some had salads, but since it's known for the burgers we chowed on them and the meat was fresh and delicious. They have a variety to offer and it's very creative. To start off, they offer a great many craft beers and signature cocktails, fountain drinks, specialty coffee concoctions with liqueur, and milkshakes. They have awesome potato chip nachos and we shared it with fried pickles. The salad selections come in 2 sizes for sharing or for one. The list for fixings was ginormous about 30 different choices and that didn't include the various cheeses. I had the Gatsby with 1/2# American Wagyu and clothbound cheddar (I prefer Merkt's) bacon, grilled onions on brioche roll. The onion rings were awesome. I was too full after that, but dessert selection looked so yummy. Like the beers this changes too. The waitress was nice but didn't bother to check on refills for drinks. The fries and upgraded onion rings that came along with were mediocre, kind of soggy and tasteless. Despite, that I'll come back when I crave for a gourmet burger. First time here since they opened up a few years ago. Around 8:30 or so on a Saturday night and the place just about empty. We chose to sit outside as they had a very nice deck and the weather was beautiful. That might've been a mistake though because we were getting eaten alive by mosquitoes. There was also bugs of all sorts around the deck. Spiders, ants, Beatles... made it a bit uncomfortable to be honest. Service was attentive and friendly. Prices are very good for the most part. I got the classic burger and that may have also been a mistake on my end this time. The burger itself was well prepared and had some good taste but it was so plain. It had not type of sauce or anything on it to really awaken your senses. I ended up just putting ketchup on it, which made it somewhat enjoyable. We were watching The Phantom Gourmet Saturday morning and the host was warbling about local burger joints. One was local a few miles away. I'd never heard of The Fix. It overlooks a lake. So, we were hungry... Why not? You must try this place. It was great. The staff is fast and friendly. We were seated almost immediately on a rainy Saturday. Erin took our order. I had a booze free chocolate shake although you can get it with, I think, a shot of bourbon. I was a soda jerk as a teen so I know how to make a milk shake. Theirs are outstanding. My love had one also. I ordered the rodeo version of their burger. My love had a regular standard burger. I'm more adventurous than her. Both burgers were prepared perfectly. The manager even stopped by to check on us. But my big issues are the personal service so I want to complement Erin. And for those who judge a restaurant by the restrooms, theirs is clean. But for you guys with bad aim, how difficult is it to get paper towels into the bucket. In summary, The Fix is my new go to for burgers. The chains can't ever compete. read more

Last time I saw someone get a bowl...and it looked pretty big and tasty. This was the most expensive bowl at $20. It came in a pretty shallow dish and just wasnt very filling. Taste was just ok too. The patty was just that. No seasoning. And a small chicken breast and not much salad. Pretty much have to eat again tonight. Wouldn't make that choice again. This was first outing since COVID began 8 months ago for some in my group & it was an extremely pleasant & comfortable experience. Service was efficient & friendly while remaining appropriately distant-huge kudos to Alessandra M who is mainly responsible for our all around positive experience. All employees wear masks, customers must wear masks as well. There are digital or throwaway menus and hand sanitizer at every turn. Plexiglass has been installed in every conceivable area. Now to the important stuff, the food! The Fix in Worcester has been a go to for us, and this newer location did not let us down (located close to Rt 495). The food was hot and delicious (salad cool & crisp) and just what you're looking for in a gourmet burger house. They are open to changes & substitutions, and our server suggested that they would split our shared burger for us-making life easier. The decor is modern and comfortable, mainly benched booths and hi stooled tables. We very much wanted to sit outside and enjoy the autumn colors over Lake Williams but alas it started to rain as we pulled in the parking lot. Just left The Fix with a full belly and a satisfying smile. I was dining alone at the bar. Ben took good care of me, along with 2 other lady bartenders (didn't get their names). It wasn't too busy. I ordered a Founders IPA on tap (delish!), and some wings to start. Let me tell you, I am a wing connoisseur. These wings are AMAZING! Nice dry rub. Perfect cook. Crispy exterior and hot moist (yes, i said it!) interior. I didn't eat them all (even tho I wanted to). I took half home. For my main course I ordered the Spartan burger.
